Lykas was left incredibly confused by what happened after he and Abby's Pokemon managed to connect their attacks. Marian and Robin both seemed to panic, recalled their Pokemon and ran for the hills. In opposite directions for some reason. Robin's final flirtatious remarks before he disappeared into the incoming sunset. "I am incredibly confused... Did we win or not?" He asked before heading off to the stadium.
Along the way, he'd meet up with Wren, who was carrying some strange-looking sponge toy that was dripping wet. "What's with the kiddie toy?" He'd ask, recalling the things from his own childhood.
"Something that grows but does not live..." Wren commented back to him, looking pensive. The pair would make their way to the stadium together, meeting Kaya in the lobby, looking rather disheveled but otherwise alright.
"The hell happened to you?" Lykas asked playfully.
"Apparently, Fairies play rougher here in Galar than they do in other parts of the world." Kaya replied cryptically, following Lykas to their seats to watch the remainder of the closing ceremony before the tournament started up properly.
When it was all over, the quartet which now included Odd, discussed how things went through the whole thing. "The gym leaders are somewhat interesting... It looks like they're still type-specialists, though." Odd mentioned. "But... Am I the only one who got a feeling one or two of them were Channelers or some sort of hybrid?"
"No... I definitely felt something coming from a few of them. Like that young girl with the blue streaks in her hair? Total bombshell." Lykas remarked.
"Turn the hormones off and pay attention, you walking hentai monster." Kaya snapped back at Lykas, flipping his visor up to glare at the Jellicent hybrid. "The old woman definitely didn't feel entirely human but I don't know why... They said she was the gym leader from Ballonlea, didn't they?"
"I don't know... They all seemed more or less human to me. That Kabu guy was kind of intense but they didn't seem terribly unusual." Wren remarked, standing up from his seat and stretching out somewhat.
Lykas smirked as he stood as well. "They could have had a champion with less of a Charizard obsession, though." The four all agreed on that sentiment. "I swear that whole species must be some kind of hive-mind deity by now."
"It wouldn't surprise me if they are, honestly. Charizard has so much hidden potential, apparently. It makes no sense to me how it has it all hidden in there." Odd agreed as he stood.
Kaya stretched in his seat before he even stood up and yawned. "Sure... But I think some rest wouldn't hurt any of us if this thing's getting started already. I heard we've all got rooms at the Budew Drop Inn here in the city. So maybe we should head over there and get some shuteye before this all gets started?"
The group nodded in a strangely dissonant harmony and began to walk out of the stadium together, making their way to the hotel in question and heading off to their rooms.
