Mercurius' wings stretched out as far as they could go, sun warming his wing webbing, hooves tucked neatly against his body, mane and tail streaming behind him. He let the air currents take him wherever they may. Powerful flaps of his wings took him from where one current ended and the next began. The ground flew by beneath him. He took little notice; trees mostly always looked the same from this high up. Tiny pockets of open ground scattered like haphazard pockmarks through the forest. At first they appeared sparsely, but got more and more frequent until the forest opened up into a wide clearing. He saw movement and descended to get a closer look. Before long, Mercurius realized that it was another Soquili, and not only that, but a stunning mare. He grinned and circled around to land nearby - close enough she would notice his arrival but not so close that he would startle her or seem invasive. He wanted to meet this mare and find out what she was like. Hopefully she was interested in meeting someone new as well. Since the only way to know was to try and he embraced a no-regrets philosophy to life, he knew it was time to explore the opportunity in front of him. Maybe they wouldn't like each other...but what if they *did*? Where could they end up together? Times like this where anything seemed possible were his favorite kind. Not knowing what was going to happen next had always thrilled him and made him feel the most alive.

She didn't usually venture this far. Especially not after finding her brothers; Xocoyolcoatl and Cuauhcoatl. She didn't even know about the other siblings that had showed up back in the Yectenehua Herd. The cousins, uncles, older relations. How would she? She had ventured out on her own to explore the world around her. She needed to. Xolotlcoatl felt it; deep in her chest. There was something that she was missing. Something she needed experience. And any information she got outside of the Herd she could always bring back to Cuauhcoatl so he could also learn it. As Angeni it was their duty. And hers was Prevention. She couldn't just sit back in a peaceful herd, preening her feathers and waiting for something to happen near by. No. She needed to go out; to experience and explore and find and help others who called upon her. And that was just what she was going to do. Even if it meant being away from her family once more. Though, that being said, she did know where they were located now. So it would be much easier to find them this time.

That being said, she could almost feel when someone was coming toward her; even from above. Her ears flipped up, and she lifted her head from where she was grazing. Her dark red eyes flicked about the grassy field first, before lifting up at the sound of wings. She tilted her head, watching carefully as the stallion made his decent. She adjusted her wings on her back slightly, almost hiding the second set as if she didn't want anyone to know she was an Angeni. Some people sought to kill them; or so she heard on the wind. And though she was more than capable of defending herself and attacking anyone who dare try to take her down, she would rather avoid the conflict all together. Her nostrils flared a moment, taking in the scent on the air before she snorted and shook out her long mane, letting it fall a little easier around her neck and shoulders, so as to not get tangled in her hooves. He appeared happy enough by first glance. His wings and horns spoke of a species she wasn't too familiar with; something known as Ulun'Suti. And the frills told her part Kelpi as well. Interesting combination. She stood a little taller, though honestly she was tall for a mare as is being an Angeni, She had to appear as though she could pose a threat, even if she didn't' want to. She couldn't risk it. She took a step toward him, before offering a softer smile behind the mask that adorned her head. "Good afternoon." She called, her voice clear as a bell. "Can I help you with something?"

His eyes widened almost imperceptibly as she approached. She was tall and her horns - were they part of her mask or were they natural? - clearly potential weapons. Her confidence was as intimidating as it was enthralling, and as it is a trait he seeks in the company he keeps, he immediately became more interested in learning more about her. If she'd let him, that is...Sometimes other Soquili mistook his Ulun'Suti wings as those of a Kalona and acted on their prejudices. Learning the hard way that the world isn't always soft and nice, especially without parents or a herd to protect him, made him determined to bring more levity into the lives of those he met. He'd learned by now that his mischievous and playful nature didn't rub everyone the right way and it was no skin off his back. Mercurius had long ago accepted himself even when others did not; but, the combination of the two made it harder for him to find a place he felt truly accepted and comfortable. That's why he went out exploring today. He is searching for a family, whether it's a herd or close friends or a mate, and he won't settle until he finds it. But he couldn't tell *her* any of this, what kind of first impression would that be? Oh, yes, by any chance can help me figure out how to fill the hole in my heart? he silently scoffed at himself.

Instead of saying any of that, he tossed his mane and grinned up at her. "That depends. What kind of services do you offer?"

The Angeni didn't quite know how to feel about a stallion being this close to her. At least not one that seemed so... bold. Last time she'd been around one that seemed interested in anything past a quick fling had quickly moved on from her life. Other than that, she had only really come into contact with family. And her brothers were someone she could always turn to in her time of need. Her ears flipped forward, and she tilted her head to glance along the stallions full body. She needed to make sure she could defend herself in case of any form of threats. But he didn't look as though he had any form of sharp anything. Aside from his horns. But by the way they were curved they couldn't do much damage to her. Plus, she could defend herself. Xolotlcoatl was a strong mare. She had never been less than that. So she could easily fight him off if she needed to.

She could feel something. And her eyes lifted for a second to look along the sky as the clouds moved by. She squinted somewhat, and then shook her head. Nothing from there. The feeling wasn't coming from there. She dropped her eyes back down, and looked over the stallion again. Her eyes squinted a bit at him, analyzing him. Hm... He did seem troubled. Which she could help with if given all the factors. Her tail flicked, causing the long hairs to shift and settle lightly against her back legs. She shifted her wings slightly against her back to pull them in more, make them seem smaller than ever, so that she wouldn't intimidate him. She took a small step toward him, ears swiveling forward as he spoke. Service? She lifted her head again, her eyes narrowing a moment. What did he mean by service? She huffed softly and shook her head, before glancing around once more, her eyes scanning over the tree lines.

"I do not offer any kind of service. Assistance, perhaps, but definitely not a service." She quipped, her ears flicking once more. Xolotlcoatl glanced at him once more, red-purple eyes scanning over him again. he didn't seem like he meant any harm by anything he said, or that he was going to come and try and attack her or take her down. And she was smart enough not to be fooled by any sort of pretty words. So she resigned herself to calm down, and not take anything he said of offense. After all, he just wanted to talk, right? She recomposed herself, and let her eyes soften somewhat, so that she could actually focus on what he was saying and not her lack of untrusting. She offered a gentle smile and refluffed her wings again. "Sorry. I suppose I have been a little brash, and we only just met. I did not meant to offend if I have. My name is Xolotlcoatl, what can I do for you, Mister...?" She blinked, curious of his name.
