[PRP] Random Meeting (Samanya x ???)

A nice warm day blessed the rogue lands, one that the fluffy maned male couldn't pass up. Especially considering he'd rarely be in these tempratures again for a very long time. The Schnee pride would no doubt keep him busy, especially with him volunteering for the rank of a babysitter for any cubs or other infants who would need to be protected from the harsh climate.

So for now Samanya soaks up the sun, bathing in it's warmth while seeking out a nice sized rock to sprawl out across. When one of those doesn't come into view he instead settles for a nice short patch of grass which he'd quickly circle in a few times before settling in on his belly, a low rumbling purr of content heard deep in his throat.

Yes, this would do fine.

Li strode confidently across the savanna, the sun warming her dark grey pelt deliciously. The crisp golden grass tickled her legs about halfway up, just below where the angry scars that stretched from her shoulders stopped. If she stood still, her fur covered the thick, raised lines that furrowed across her shoulders; but as she walked, the grey blanket parted to display the souvenirs of a pointless battle - pointless, even if it was a victory.

Her mangled ear - another trophy from her win - twitched at a faint noise, one so faint that Li wasn't even sure she'd heard it. Dismissing it as just the ambiance of nature, she continued on. With the sun shining as brilliant as it was, Li was forced to squint her eyes as she padded forward, which was most likely the reason she didn't notice the white-faced male lying in the grass nearby. That, and the fact that his brown-shaded pelt blended fairly well with the sun-bleached earth. Li stopped and stared at the strange male consideringly. Well, there was the source of the noise she had so readily dismissed - this lion was purring in his contentedness.

He hadn't noticed her yet, but she had accidentally come so close to him that it couldn't be long now. As she stood, debating interaction, fate edged closer and closer to taking the decision from her paws.

From a distance, if it weren't for the occasional rumble in the male's throat and chest he could be mistaken for sleeping. Really there was little protection in the current location he'd decided to settle into but it didn't bother him. Due to the dark color of his coat the sun's warmth came quickly to wash over him like a comfortable blanket or ocean waves, it very nearly did put Samanya to sleep. Then a noise caught his ear.

"Mmm?" Samanya raised his head to get a look around, sniffing softly at the air until light green eyes focused on a lioness he hadn't noticed right away. Maybe he did nod off for a moment. At least she hadn't stepped on his tail, that would be something to annoy him, her presence alone though didn't. "Hello there, it would seem we're close for comfort." The words left in a purr of sorts as he moved to sit up, not wanting to get up fully.

"Well aren't you interesting, battle hardened? I can respect that." The comment came off as sincere, he wasn't poking fun but rather making an observation. After all, they did end up pretty close physically than he's used to with strangers. Plus, if she meant to attack him then she probably would've by now, at least he hopes so.

Li couldn't help but take a step back as the male moved to get up; however, the joviality she heard in his words and saw echoed in his pale green eyes limited it to just the one step. Besides, he didn't rise above a sit, which seemed to her a clear indication of a lack of aggression. She smiled amicably at him.

"Well, I wouldn't say I'm uncomfortable just yet," she jested, hoping her joke would come across properly. If she was to be thrust into conversation, she may as well try to make it fun.

Li blinked her golden eyes in surprise at his next comment. She wasn't accustomed to strangers bringing up her scars so soon into an introduction. They didn't even know each other's names! Another lioness may have been offended by the remark, but Li was rather proud of her scars - they were, essentially, a mark of her strength, and strength was an important quality to the smoky lioness.

She shrugged her marred shoulders dismissively and replied, "Trophies from a tiff with a foolish male, and a warning to any other fools who think me just some object to be claimed."

The comment was certainly not pointed at this particular male - Li felt it unnecessary to make veiled threats towards someone who had presented no ill will. She was, however, unintentionally a little bit boastful. It was hard for her to disguise her pride in the victory. Mimicking the spice-colored male, Li sat down comfortably and wrapped her tail around her front paws.

"My name is Li. What can I call you?"
