Being out on raids wasn't too different as a Shield Maiden, even though Astrus preferred the title of Reaver. At least she had the company of her self-proclaimed God partner with her and...well...their actions on this extended outing spoke for themselves. Her belly had soon begun to swell, and halfway through the trip, Astrus found herself in a secluded cave, birthing her third litter, second with the god of Conflict.
Although their second brood wasn't as big as their first, the cubs were still larger than her first litter. God blood was a funny thing. They were not fully weaned, but the cubs were wandering spirits, getting into mischief as much as possible. It would make their trip back to the stormborn lands chaotic for sure.
Kahina growled playfully as she batted her mom's tail, before pouncing around. "We are leaving todaayyyy?" She cooed, purring as she nuzzled under her mother's chin. It was time for an adventure!

Odinson had been on his own extended viking, wandering adventuring through the rogue lands on his own. He was most definitely not lost, nor was he thinking about the party that had left him behind, Hah, the joke was on them, they had missed out on his most glorious of adventures....and he knew exactly where he was!
The pale lion's tail flicked, a yawn and a stretch as he prepared for the day. On his back he carried a growing collection of pelts collected from various prey animals he had fallen (and his father thought he had ignored the lessons he'd been taught).
Green eyes narrowed, a familiar scent meeting his nose. He supposed he must be close to home. Perhaps it was a good time to drop of his trophies before continuing his ADVENTURE!

The white god grumbled, rolling his eyes to himself as he rested away from the noisy cubs well outside the den where they rested with their mother. He had only just gotten his last litter out of the den, and now these new little fuzzballs had shown up.
Huff! They were adorable and annoying and they were in the way of...activities that he would have rather been enjoying with Astrus at that moment. His tail lashing at the thought of the last fuzzball to sink it's little teeth into his tail, Tanaka grumped to himself. Furry little brats, they were lucky they were cute.

Astrus sighed, looking over her shoulder at the two sleeping boys as her daughter continued to growl playfully. "Soon." When the boys woke up they could head home. For now though, her attention turned towards outside the den. She rose to her feet, an excited sound escaping Kahina's lips in the process. The small cub was quick to bound out of the den, spotting her father resting nearby.
She divebombed towards him. "Dadddddd. Wake up the others. Let's goooo alreadyyyyy." Kahina whined.
Astrus stepped out of the den moments after Kahina, smirking as the small cub pounced on the god. "Kahina, leave your father alone." She said towards them, slinking over. She paused for a moment, a familiar smell entered her nose. Her eyes narrowed.
"Looks like we may not be alone, Tanaka," Astrus stated. |

Odin was quick to trace the source of the scent that had caught his attention, not that he could have ever missed the massive white god that was unmistakably his father. A flick of his tail, Odin shifted hs shoulders under his collection of pelts, a smirk crossing his maw as he approached the familiar lion.
As he approached, another scent met him, also familiar....and then another, not familiar. Green eyes narrowed, who was with his parents that he did not know? And why were they outside the stormborn lands?
Tanaka glanced at his small daughter, a silent grumble as he very consciously shifted his tail under himself and out of reach of small vicious cub fangs. His ears flattened, it was far to early for whining.
"Go wake them yourself if you in such a hurry."
The god might have rolled his eyes were his gaze not already fixed on the approaching figure, one large paw reaching protectively for his small daughter. He glanced to Astrus from the corner of his eye with a silent nod. It was not until he recognized the figure as Odinson, one of their older children, that the god relaxed.
"What the ******** are you doing out here alone?"
He did not remember his son having so much mane, what the hell had he been up to?

"Noooo, I'd rather stay here with you!" Kahina grinned, purring as she rubbings against her father, batting her eyes at him. "Ohhh momma!" She then called out as Astrus approached, racing towards her, ignoring the protective paw that reached for her.
Astrus' eyes narrowed as Tanaka spoke, their eldest son approaching. "Odinson?" She expected the male to have a team of lions trailing him too. "Where is your band?" Number one rule of vikings, do not go on your own!
"Who's that?" Kahina purred, staring at her older brother with a small head tilt. "Momma, Dad?" She glanced back and forth between her parents before keeping her sights on Odin. "He kind of looks like Dad!" |

"I have been having an adventure, father."
Oh the smug look in those green eyes, so much like his father. Odinson was most certainly proud of himself and the collection of trophies he carried, pelts, and various trinkets he had collected. It seemed at some point he had felled something with rather large talons as he wore them around his neck like a great prize. It seemed he may have acquired a few scars as well, faint under his pale fur, but still noticed by the keen eyes of his father.
"Ah, well, I lost them some time ago."
Odinson paused only a moment to answer his mother's question, his answer spoken casually as if lions lost their viking party all the time. Nope, no concern here at all. Truth was he had no idea where the others had gone or what had happened to them, they had left and he'd never seen them again. Well, it was their loss so far as he was concerned.
"Why are you out here?"
His head lowered to sniff at the small cub. A sibling? My, his parents had certainly been up to things.
Tanaka rolled his eyes at his son, ignoring the not at all subtle boasting, the way the smug little b*****d rolled his shoulders to show off his 'prizes'. The god was not impressed, or at least he would have said he was not. Even so, there was a hint of pride he could not quite conceal, if one knew him well enough to see it.
"Don't be a twit, boy. I'd hate to see you trip over all that and fall on your face."
A paw gestured to the ridiculous pile of pelts over his son's back, it made him look like some sort of overgrown mountain goat. If the god could have rolled his eyes any harder they might have fallen from his skull. A snort, his eyes narrowed.
"That is our concern, not yours."
