[PRP] Lazy Afternoon (Adi/Aerden)

Adi was almost never one to sleep for very long, but she made up for it by sleeping hard. Once she was out, she was out, and a bit of snoring or even drooling was not out of the question, nor was moving around so much that by the time she woke up, she was all tangled in the covers, if not on the floor. When she had company, the tossing and turning was replaced by aggressive cuddling. Which, considering she had little regard for personal space even when she was awake, was probably not surprising. There was little hope of escaping her sleepy, contented affection as she clung like a barnacle to any companion(s) she had.

Just one today, though, but she was absolutely as pleased as could be regardless. She hadn't hunted down her friend, not really - Flights were always a good reason to wander and just see what happened - but once she'd spotted him, the possibility had been irresistible. After all, he was very cute, by her own estimation, and a friend! Why not a special friend, too?

Now that things had been quiet for awhile, several opportunistic firelizards decided that this was the perfect time to get in on some snuggles. Friend was here! Cuddles for everyone! They descended on the bed and set about finding ideal spots, peeping softly as they attempted to burrow into the covers and against the humans.

Gold flights had always been an infamous sort of story that Aerden had heard in passing... but to experience one first hand was--well. The former mercenary was sleeping hard as well, content to cradle the sleeping woman close to his chest protectively. The sensation of several small somethings settling into the bed was enough to make his eyes blearily crack open, an instinct he'd never quite shaken off. He'd always been a light sleeper--just in case.

He never quite remembered how many firelizards Adi had... but, he sleepily allowed his fingers to gently stroke at them as they snuggled close, enjoying the sensation of their soft hides. A quiet glance at Adi confirmed that she was still fast asleep, and his lips drew upwards with affection. An unexpected morning, to be sure... but certainly not unwelcome.

Better to let her sleep, he thought with a yawn. They'd... well. They'd certainly done enough to warrant it.

A little chorus of fond cheeps went up at the stroking, and two blues and a gold wriggled their way closer for both warmth and pets. The blues were soon squeaking displeasure at each other because there was only so much attention to be had, but they were silenced by a n** from the gold. Meanwhile, the bronze decided that that spot was too crowded, and crawled his way up and over Adi instead. All this was observed from the headboard by a spotted green who fixed Aerden with an orange-eyed glare.

It was ultimately the gentle picking of Charming's little claws that started to wake her, the reflex to brush away whatever was tickling at her, but one arm was tucked under Aerden's, and the other between them. It was very comfortable, even with a firelizard wobbling its way up to her shoulder. She made a drawn-out, wordless noise of sheer contentment that ended in a sigh before she opened her eyes. A soft smile brightened sleepy eyes as she stretched her legs and wiggled her toes. "Hi."
