Sand Splash was not necessarily new to the territory, but she was new to the group of wolves she had immersed herself into. She was a charismatic female, and there had never been any doubt in her mind that the pack would accept her presence. After all, one lone female could not hurt them and instead give the opportunity to strengthen them. Truthfully, she was a little bored with the nomadic lifestyle now that her children had moved on.

She had pups on a whim, and only now did she think that it was probably a mistake to have them so carelessly. "I do get carried away at times..." she mused softly as she came to the river's edge. Here the current of water was slow enough that if she stepped into the river, it would not sweep her away. It was a good place to settle down and raise pups. The wolves here themselves seemed like good creatures as well. Sand Splash had no complaints...

Well, she had some complaints, but they were unimportant enough to voice them.

Sand Splash was a different sort of female from a different land. She had grown up on lake shores chasing minnows through the shallows. It was perhaps why she was so drawn to this place, and though there was no lake so vast that she could not see the other side, the river reminded her just a little bit of it. The taste of fish was not displeasing to her palette, and there was enough game otherwise to chase. Water drew in life, and it was good to settle down so close to it.

She stepped over the river's edge and into the shallows. Wading into water deep enough to reach her elbows, she froze in place, waiting for an easy snack to swim her way.
