Ufunuo moved with light steps, tail flicking as he walked, humming quietly to himself so song he had made up long ago as a child. The dark lion often explored his new home, feeling more and more that he had at long last found his place with the lioness he loved. A smile crossed his maw, it had been a long journey, longer than he had expected, but at the end, he had truly found his home. He still often thought of his family, of the childhood home lost, he missed his sister, but here, here he was happy, truly.
Today Ufunuo moved with a purpose, as if he were searching for something. Ah, there, a smile as purple eyes fell on a small patch of flowers. These would do nicely. His head lowered, a deep inhale before picking a mouthful of the flowers. A nod, a satisfied flick of his tail, Ufunuo turned, paws moving in a swift trot to the water hole where he knew Ta would be.
Quietly he approached, his head lowered to nuzzle against the reclining lioness.before setting the flowers at her paws, the goofiest grin ever on his maw.
"Morning."

Tala's bright eyes opened at the nuzzle, and the flowers dropped to her paws. She reached down to sniff at the colorful flora, before leaning back against the darker male. "Good morning love," she purred.
"You seem quite jovial today," she giggled, closing her eyes as the sun soaked her fur. She reopened them slowly, turning her whole body so she faced her mate. It still felt awkward to her to rest with her belly extending on the dirt. The sooner the cubs were out, the better, in her opinion.
"The flowers are beautiful," she brought her paws closer to her so they rested against them. They could make a nice headband or accessory once they dried out.

While Ta'la'la would have chuckled if she were not pregnant, if Ufunuo had decided to jump in the water to splash her, she would be quite irate. He'd be in the metaphoric dog house until the day their children were born, and likely days after.
She rose to her feet, clutching the flowers in her paw. She swayed slightly on her feet, still getting use to the weight displacement. "We should get them some water, so they last longer." Tala grinned, nudging the darker male.
As she took a step forward, she glanced towards Ufunuo. "So...Are you hoping for sons or daughters?" The lioness grinned. She knew Ufunuo had a previous litter before, so he should be a pro at this father thing.

"Oh. Um." That was a good question. Perhaps they could find an empty tortoise shell or some sort of basin like thing to hold the flowers in.
"I am sure we will find something." She nodded. "If not, we could keep them out in the sun and let them dry a bit to wear." Oh, they could be little gifts for their future children! Talala liked this idea.
Both? Maybe Tala was a little biased, but she had been hoping for some daughters. Growing up with majority of brothers, it was nice to have some females around for companionship. Plus, they would carry on her parents name, their surname. "Both is good, as long as they are healthy, right?" Tala said with a smile, nuzzling the male into his mane. "And maybe we can find some chicks for them to have too," she cooed. Perhaps she could persuade her mother's former bond to have more children.

Ufunuo reached out with a paw, taking one of the flowers and gently places it behind her ear. A smile, a quiet purr, the flower looked beautiful there, it matched her eyes.
"I think that would be nice."
He was happy she liked the flowers, he would have to make a note to bring her more in the future.
A nod, healthy and happy cubs was what he wished for, regardless of gender or appearance. This would be the start of their family, together. He couldn't wait to meet his children.
"I...I would like that."
The land of his childhood had followed the bird goddess Hestia, choosing avians as their own bonded. If was because of the goddess that he had met his eagle, Daga. It was with great pride that he thought of his children growing up with their own avian companions.
