If there was one thing T'rin had learned during his first week as a weyrling, it was that he needed to buff up. Ingonth was prone to fits of youthful activity followed by an inevitable crash, and while the blue certainly enjoyed being carried around like the glorious creature he was, it was starting to do a number on his lifemate's reluctant biceps.

But that was a problem for another rest day. This one would be spent helping the less fashionably fortunate.

Her name was Amila. Her feast clothes were atrocious. And after a polite inquiry and a promise to be on their least snarky behavior, Ingonth had arranged for his sister and their riders to get together and begin what was sure to be a beautiful friendship.

We are ready whenever you are, dearest Matoath.

T'rin and Ingonth were stationed outside of the the girls' barracks, the former's arm draped with what looked like several swatches of fabric, but were actually a few of his stepmother's party gowns he had found deep his own trunk following his arrival at the weyr. With tensions between High Reaches and the outside world at an all-time high, they might not be able to import anything custom-made any time soon, but these dresses would be a start.

Matoath was absolutely delighted her brother was trying to be kind to Hers. Her Amila was so anxious and shy that Matoath was often reassuring her that she was fine -- right where was was meant to be with her, and while it worked and Amila spent every moment possible with her -- training was a thing Matoath worried about. Amila's interactions with others, Matoath worried about. However she also knew her rider was sontent doing anything if Matoath was nearby, and so she'd convinced her to come meet another sibling.

That Amila liked doing. Her peerless taste at least opened her up to meeting others and by extension, other riders and Matoath was pleased when Ingonth had asked to meet her and her rider to help the girl look less.... Well, like sand, Matoath would say, the dragonet was all too happy to work with him, making sure he knew there was no business of scaring her rider to be endured. She didn't fully understand this fashion thing -- and her rider looked perfect to her, but anyone wanting to help the little one share the lifepartner she'd chosen off was someone worth hearing, and the dragonet gently guided Amila out with graceful steps, winges close to her sides. Today was no exception to the girl's less than wise color and fashion choices, though it was slightly less painful. The girl was lightly tanned with blonde hair and green eyes, wearing a beige clouse with brown coat and brown skirt, alongside what suspiciously resembled work boots as she followed her green, the blonde wide eyed a bit. In her entire life she'd never considered dressing up -- a cothold farmgirl, she'd been taught to wear easily replaced or soiled clothing -- which sur[prisingly meant browns and natural, undyed fabrics. She never thought much of it until now, and the Feast made her feel woefully inadequate. Still, the weyrling did listen when Matyoath talked and today the draghonet wanted her to meet her brother.

Assumedly the one with the young man outside of the barracks, and she waved quietly, tucking her hair behind one ear awkwardly.

"Oh, ah... Hello."

Matyoath had far less worry, and readily moved, walking to her sibling and crooning softly, booping his muzzle fondly in a polite, loving greeting.

Brother, it's good to see you today. You and Yours are looking very well!

Ingonth leaned into Matoath's muzzle boop, his eyes as blue as his hide. His clutchmate was looking as lovely as always, and now that they weren't surrounded by Harpers and fancy food, Amila's cothold homespun was entirely appropriate as well. Even T'rin had on something more casual today, though his pants still sported far too many laces in unnecessary locations than anyone might need.

You and yours too. Ingonth replied, stepping to one side as T'rin approached and addressed Amila. He might have moved to give her a kiss on the cheek had she been anyone else, but he had been warned that probably wasn't a good idea.

"Hello, Amila! I'm so very glad that you agreed to meet us one on one. I'm T'rin now..." He paused, unconsciously reveling a little in the sound of his honorific. "...and this is Ingonth, but I'm sure you knew that." They might not have had many shared duties as weyrlings yet, but they had been candidates at the same time, however briefly. Of course, not everyone was as interested in cataloging their fellows as he was. "I suppose my first question is, do you have a favorite color?" It was as good a place to start as any.
