[align=left]Vespera stood when asked, realizing she was in trouble. In retrospect, maybe she should have waited until after class to do that. Or at least wait until Professor Cohen's back was turned. She was not looking forward to the detention, an having to see the Slytherins after losing them house points. Most of all, she wasn't sure how she'd be able to write a two page paper on the Jinx. She would have to beg Sona and Jonah, maybe they could barter for something if they helped.

She nodded and said softly, "I'm sorry Professor Cohen." She then closed her notebook and took her wand and went to partner up with Jonah and Sona, not saying a word during that time. If she had just stayed quiet before, and stayed still before and not acted rashly, then she wouldn't have detention tonight. She knew she didn't get the worst punishment, but she could feel the disappointment(?) from the professor, and didn't like that feeling being put towards her. Maybe, she should just go back into her shell.

Hufflepuff Fifth Year
Prefect ✾ Chaser ✾ Quidditch VC

▬▬"I bought a big bag of potatoes, and it's growing eyes like crazy."▬▬

This year was wild. Yukon was prefect, Wren was Prefect, Aria was here (Who was unfortunately still betrothed to Wren), Weslyn was adorable, and Kenny was Kenny. He sat down where the firsties would be sitting, Weslyn could handle herself this year, or join him and the firsties maybe? He clapped loudly for every new Hufflepuff, and introduced himself, "Yukon Knolle, the Prefect Potato." He also used a number of potato puns, "Potato Puns are apeeling" and "Prefect Wren from Slytherin and I are Best Spuddies" and finally he gave, "Don't mind me, I'm just a spec-tater"

However, when Pheonix Heulwen was sorted, he looked panicked by the loud applause from Hufflepuff. Yukon looked toward the upper table and tried hushing them, before sighing it was impossible to quiet a table. The kid was panicking, he acted so much like Weslyn had when she first joined them. Yukon pulled out his bag, sure he could have sent it to the dorms, but he had some wood chunks in there to carve into potatoes, in case he got bored (He wasn't good at actually wood carving detail, but potatoes don't need to be perfect). He pulled out a pair of ear muffs, he had them in case he went to the greenhouse at some point and just never took out greenhouse supplies from his bag.

He smiled at the professor who brought Phee to the table, the kid had been panicking for sure, and he walked to where Phee was now sitting, looking a bit awkward walking in a group of people sitting. He kneeled next to Phee, and handed Phee the earmuffs, "They aren't much, but if you cover up one ear it won't be as overwhelming and you can hear what's going on." Yukon put his hand on the kids head and ruffled his hair a bit, before returning to his seat, he would have to keep an eye on that one, just to make sure he settled in okay and was able to make a few friends during his time here at Hogwarts.

▬▬“Critiscm is something we can avoid easily...”▬▬

Cenek was concerned about his friends, well some of them. Sparrow was better, but she wasn't acting yet, Yukon... wasn't really Cenek's friend? But he was Sparrow's friend, so by association Yukon claimed him. Anyways, Yukon had gone through some trouble with his ministry job and had seemed to retire to his family's potato farm. Penny was also working with the ministry, but was in general just a great friend/roomie to have around.

While the Art festival was going on, Cenek had a brilliant idea - he would play match maker. He wasn't great at match maker, but Penny was a loving energetic being, someone who might do Yukon a world of good. He was also going to be sure Sparrow got to see the Hobgoblin perform, and he had heard Finley was also going to perform - a great day to go spend at the festival. As they all approached the main stage Cenek smiled at his rag-tag crew of people.

"Come on guys, the hobgoblin is going to be starting soon! It's been a while since we've seen them perform right Sparrow? Yukon, Penny, have you seen them perform before?"



Yukon shook his head, "Can't say that I've seen them, but then again I don't go out of my way to see performances." Yukon, wasn't sure why he was at the festival, Cenek told Sparrow, Sparrow told Yukon, and now Yukon was maybe on a blind date with Cenek's roommate? He had gone to school for a few years with Penny, but they weren't exactly in the same friend groups. He was just going to go with it, it was nice to hang out with friends.

Yari was tired of it all. Pretending to be happy, trying to find that inner happiness that everyone kept going on about. About looking around and seeing places she had explored with Angier.

About every. single. person. saying. it. would. be. okay.

They didn't understand, no, no one really understood her. She was alone in this world, the only one who vaguely knew what she was feeling was Milan - who had lost his best friend. But, Milan had lost his best friend. He wasn't himself, he didn't see the pain his sister had - and Yari couldn't blame him. She hadn't made an effort to go comfort him either.

She had started thinking about how to move on back when she opened art club months ago, she had begun sewing random cloths together, making her own burial shroud. She had never intended to keep working on it, but to merely keep her mind and hands busy. Eventually though, before she knew it, her scraps of fabric had gathered to be more than enough for her end. She could look at each piece of fabric, tell a story with it. Her Hogwarts robe, the dress she wore on her first date with Angier, a left over scrap of the dresses she made with Annie - her entire 16 years of life, scrapped out, made into this jumble mess.

She wrote a note, and left it with the folded shroud, ensuring that everyone knew what it was for. She wrote letters, of course she was through, she wrote good byes to each of her siblings, her mother, her best friend Annie, and Taylor. She loved her family, she wished happiness for them all, she hoped Milan would find his smile again, Harlynn would love herself, and that Echo would become the best older sister ever. She hoped her best friend Annie would find a family to call her own. She wrote to Taylor that she hated her most of the time, but that she would leave art club to her, because at least Taylor wouldn't let the club be run to the ground.

Yari sat the notes and shroud at the foot of her bed, on her chest full of projects, books, and clothes. Then she sat on her bed, pulling the curtains shut around her. She tucked herself in, and picked up her favorite sewing scissors. She looked at them, then at her wand and scoffed at herself, [color=#C0C0C0][b]"You're a freaking witch you idiot. This is why you can't save anyone not even yourself. Don't ruin your perfectly good scissors, Echo might be able to use them."[/b][/color]

She tossed the scissors out the curtains, hoping no one accidentally stepped on them. She picked up her wand, and whispered, [color=#C0C0C0][b]"Muffliato"[/b][/color] - she didn't want to cause anyone worry, she couldn't have them hearing any sounds she made.
