 ✿ ❀ ✿ ❀ Celine Bossart ✿ ❀ ✿ ❀While dangerous to do this midday, Celine may not have another chance for awhile and she wanted to pray to her patron Goddess one last time before her departure. So Celine would sneak through the smaller alleyways at a hurried pace, ready to draw her bow at a moments notice in case any of those...beasts saw her. They weren't soldiers and she didn't care that they were apparently called daemons, they were nothing more than beasts to the blonde Athenian girl. Thankfully though she had managed to reach her goal, the temple of Athena. Now came the tricky part, getting inside. She would eye several that were patrolling outside the temple and narrowed her eyes 'Even going as far as to make sure we couldn't reach out and pray to our deity's, how irritating' she thought to herself as she circled around the temple until a backdoor with nothing but a single guard. She could take it out with an arrow but once the beasts comrades discover it's body they will be on high alert and searching for who did it and then...well Celine wasn't going to take that risk. Instead she scanned the area for a moment before smirking as the sound of light tapping caught her attention, she would look up to see a window that was left open in the temple. There we go! But it was extremely high up, probably what was once a priestess's room. So she would glance around the area before noticing a series of vines crawling up the side of the temple, it was only a foot or so from the window, she'd be able to make it...she hoped. Otherwise the sound of her fall would attract every beast in the area to her location. So with that Celine began to climb up the vines, taking care to make sure she had a solid foothold to climb up. A few vines felt like they were going to give way but she only needed to do this once and she'd allow herself to be content. However once she was at the top by the window the hard part now came up, actually getting to the window and while it was only a foot away she still knew that there was a chance she'd mess this up and fall. However just as she was preparing herself to go for it she heard the sound of multiple footsteps, at least ten or so at least. Of course a larger group would be coming through at that moment, if she got caught she could be killed or worse and she was out in the open!
Celine had to do it now and fast! So without allowing herself to feel a moment of hesitation she'd jump from her spot on the vines and managed to get one hand on the window sill and all she could do was dangle there for a moment as she began to pull herself up when they sounded closer than before and heard one of them even yell out that he heard something. With that Celine just barely managed to pull herself up and through the window just as they passed by before seeing nothing but a window clacking against the wall. Meanwhile Celine's heart was racing in her chest as she was sitting against the wall with her hand up to her chest to try and calm herself down. That was too close for comfort. But she was inside the temple now so at least getting out would be the easy part since all she had to do was jump out through the window when she was ready. So Celine would comb her way through the hallways making sure to stay as quiet as possible, just on the off chance one of them was inside the temple. However stealth was not their strong suit and the temple was as silent as a crypt, how it wasn't supposed to be. However Celine couldn't allow herself to lament for too long on the matter and descended some stairs before getting back into the main chamber of worship but frowned. It was ransacked, what was once a brilliant temple dedicated to their goddess was now in shambles but blessedly the statue of Athena remained untouched, probably due to it's incredible size and sheer effort it would take to vandalize it. She wished she could take a moment to rearrange and clean the temple and even light some incense but she couldn't, such things may give her away and so Celine would kneel down before the statue of her goddess and clasped her hands together "Oh Great Goddess Athena please hear my prayers, your city is in dire peril. Beasts...daemons have turned our city into a tomb, those of us left are forced to hide in fear. Please...send our people a hero, someone to take action and save Greece from the evil that has befallen us..." her prayers were barely above a whisper as she remained kneeling, praying for a few more moments while hoping with all her heart that Athena would hear her prayers. |

✿ ❀✿ ❀ Celine Bossart ✿ ❀ ✿ ❀ Celine stayed like that, kneeling before her patron goddess while praying with all her heart and soul. She prayed for salvation, for protection, for safety, for the rescue of her people. All her prayers were for the people of Athens, no for the people of Greece, even the Spartans whom they've had poor relations with for years. She prayed until she had nothing left to pray for and sighed a small bit "Thank you Athena for hearing my prayers, may you bless our people with the strength to overcome the darkness that has befallen our land..." however just as she was about to open here eyes she felt a strange power resonate throughout her body and suddenly images flash before her in her minds eye, an island covered in dense fog, beasts she'd only read about, the children of Medusa herself, the Gorgons. Once her vision was done Celine would turn her head up to the statue and stared for a moment in shock, never before had she been given such a gift. A vision straight from the Goddess herself! This was so rare and unheard of, usually only the most devout of priestess's would ever be allowed to commune with Athena like this. She would then smile softly at the statue of her goddess and bowed her head "Thank you Athena, I don't know who or what I'll find there but I'll do it. I'll go to the Island of the Gorgons and see why you wish to send me there" she thanked the Goddess before finally standing back up with a look of determination and resolve on her face. She would not disappoint her Goddess. So Celine made the decision to go back up the stairs, retracing her footsteps before making it back to the window where she'd peek out and look around, the coast was clear it seemed. She still heard the daemons off in the distance but Celine was certain that they were far enough away to where they wouldn't hear her jump out. So Celine would place one foot on the window sill before jumping off, making a perfect landing as she wasted no time disappearing into the alley's from where she came from. Celine would then dart between the once busy ally's and streets, making sure to stay just out of sight before stopping at a statue of Apollo and looking around to make sure nobody else was around. Most wouldn't bother with it as the statue was just too large and heavy to consider it to be anything but a statue stuck into the ground. However...if you grabbed the stone wall against the statue just so and pushed...and voila! It gave way to a secret passage to where the remaining people of Athens have been hiding and Celine would waste no time in quickly grabbing the handle and sliding the wall back into place until it clicked. She would then walk down the winding tunnels she would eventually take several turns before finally making it to the main epicenter of the survivors. Celine would quickly walk through the area towards where her family was living, it was in a larger portion of the cave as her Father was an engineer and former soldier for Athens and he needed the space so he could create inventions that made their lives down here just a little bit more tolerable.
She would quickly approach her Father while he and her Mother spoke quietly about Celine's desire to leave Greece, at least what was her original plan "Father, is the ship ready?" she would question before the three conversed for a moment before Celine revealed her new plan and how she had received a vision from Athena about the Island of the Gorgons. Right away her Mother refused to let her use the ship to go there, saying it was too dangerous but her Father protested, saying that if Athena did indeed give Celine a vision then they should trust the Goddess of Wisdom which eventually her Mother did agree. So now Celine was on the ship her Father had built for her as the magical doorway opened up before the ship and Celine would sit at the control panel and smiled a bit before going through the magical doorway to go to the Island, she didn't know what she was looking for but Celine was prepared to look and follow the Goddess's vision.
