The events during the hatching had taken more of a toll then Aresoth would have originally thought. The actions of the candidates were nothing to his mind, not anymore. The disrespect they had shown paled in comparison to the grief and sadness he felt through his bond with C'ryn. That grief and pain for Kiri, a sweet girl that Aresoth was rather fond of. He felt just as pained by the scene that had been shown upon the sands, the sight of her begging Fianth and Rhianth to remove the bronze from atop her brother. The callous way the bronze had attacked that young man and then just...stood there...It had caused anger to flare into Aresoth, as well as uncertainty. He didn't know if the young man had provoked the bronze and yet something told him that wasn't the case, the bronze had just wanted an excuse to kill someone and he probably would have still done it even if the little green had not been so distressed. He was determined to keep an eye on that bronze. There was a chance that he would cause trouble once he was graduated. Already he was wondering just where that bronze would be placed.

Then, of course, had been the sad end to the hatching. It overruled the anger he felt at that Western Bronze and his display. That was insignificant in his mind. Who cared what a Western bronze thought of anything when they had lost such a sweet green to the cold of between.

His hearts went out to Fianth, Rixth and Krahsujunth for the loss of the little one. He could not fathom the sadness that their hearts were feeling. Oh how it heart to see Fianth and Krahsujunth both go to nuzzle the spot where their green daughter had been on the sands. How his hearts froze at the thought of when he might be so lucky enough to sire a clutch of his own and to undergo such a pain.

And yet, if he was feeling this pain just from the loss as a fellow dragon with only the chance of siring a clutch in the future, how must his sweet golden sister feel upon this day.

C'ryn was off in his own world at the moment, rushing to offer his support to Kiri; Aresoth had taken off from his ledge and moved towards the ledge of his golden sister.

My Dearest Sister, I hope you do not mind if I join you on this day. His touch to her mind was gently, though his own sadness was tinged as well. If she rebuffed him and turned him away, Aresoth would not begrudge her, he was sure she would prefer their green sister Monath to him, but he would try. Zenobiath was his best friend, his compatriot. While they may not view one another as anything but that or sister and brother, he still felt as close to her now, as he did upon their own hatching.

So much to celebrate, and so much to mourn. Her beloved was about her duties for the day, tending to what needed done around the weyr whilst Zeno perched atop her ledge, watching the new weyrlings from a distance with whirling purple eyes. Ah, she was so in love with every perfect hatchling, her hearts reaching to even the most violent of them. How fortunate were Fianth and Rhianth? Though...Her hearts also went out to Fianth. She could still hear the tiny Green's cry, see that small body pressed to the sand...and remember the figures of the parents about the tiny bloodstain. Would that happen to one of her precious ones when the time came? Faranth only could say, but she hurt to think that somehow, some way, one of her little ones might suffer in such a way.

She almost wanted to reach out to Fianth and ask if she was alright, and yet instead, she stayed still upon her ledge. Quietly, she let herself keen. No one could hear her here. She had a moment's respite, a second to let herself mourn on behalf of a Gold she so admired, and her...chosen. True, Zenobiath didn't quite approve of Krah and Fianth's situation, but she couldn't say much herself. For as much as she loved the attentions of the bronzes and browns, she also had heart for a Green. Monath, however, understood the rules that Zeno had laid down. Things were as they were for a reason, and would remain that way.

The voice of a bronze in her head had her violet and white gaze raising, looking as she watched her brother's beloved form circling, asking. Slowly, she shifted to offer him room. One wing tucked a bit tighter in, as she'd been splayed across the ledge, Come, beloved Aresoth. I could use your company today.
