tab To receive a custom you need to know the rules behind ordering a pony and what is and isn't allowed. Colorist threads will be open to enter possible entries into, but also flash custom will be open time to time. Please read this guide in its entirety before ordering a pony.




• Make sure you can afford your custom.
  Colorist threads will usually have a pay what you want system, but colorists have the right to deny or accept a request if the payment isn't satisfactory. Make sure if you're accepted that you can afford your custom or else you risk being declined.
  
• Only post in colorist threads that are open, or open flash custom threads.
  Every colorist will have their own set colorist thread. This is where you'll post most requests for customs, but flash customs will open during events that have RNG slots attached, and RLC customs are also an option. Flash customs are threads that will be set up randomly where more than one colorist will pick through the options as a group.
  
• Alicorn/Awakened/Hybrid characters cannot be commissioned without special slots being open.
  We will open special slots when we're ready to release Alicorn's or Awakened's. Usually, we rely on you to use the awakening system on a pre-existing character, but there will be chances for characters already awakened. You must wait for special flash custom slots to open.
  
• Mockbreedings are not allowed.
  Mockbreedings are not allowed. If you want a character to make another character, it must be official and a breeding. There are ways to custom a child to look exactly how you want, which can be found below.
  
• There is no mass cooldown for customs, but colorists may have unique cooldowns.
  Check their thread. Colorists may have a cooldown system associated to their colorist thread. Not all will and it's not a requirement.
  
• Colorists have a right to decline any request.
  Some colorists may not enjoy certain type of commissions. Some may not like a palette or edit. They are entitled to rejecting any request they wish.

tab There are a few terms and features you should know upon entering the customs subforum! This will help you with knowing how we work and what to expect entering our shop with intentions to custom. It's a fun process, but please ensure you read this post entirely!



tab Every colorist will have their own thread. This is where they'll accept breedings and customs. This thread is where they'll label their rules and forms. Colorists may set their own prices or leave it as a bribe system, and they can choose to offer RNG slots or CC slots. It is entirely up to them.


tab Only Nymphiea, xxTeacup and -Ghastly Demise- will take RLC. Nymphiea and xxTeacup will be taking various types of customs while -Ghastly Demise- will only offer new breed slots as they're the Head Lineartist. You'll find the information here.


tab We do template some hairs and accessories, but we never will without either asking you or placing in our colorist thread a notice that we will be doing that. Check the rules of every colorist thread. Some colorists may state they'll template semicustoms. You will always be informed if we're going to go ahead and template a hair we used. If we ask for your permission you are totally allowed to ask us not to!


tab We do not do hybrids without special reasoning. There are two types of hybrids; breed hybrids and morph hybrids. Breed hybrids are when you mix more than one breed with another (for example, mixing an Aquatic and a Dragon together into one pony.) A morph hybrid is when you mix two or more morphs together (for example, an Animal Crossing morph mixing with a Ragdoll morph.)

tab Breed hybrids are accessible via a few methods; RLC, events/games, and as prizes.

tab Morph hybrids are primarily created via breedings, although you can RLC/plat commission them if you wish. Breeding two ponies with different morphs can cause the morphs to combine and make some interesting combinations, but only if the morphs are compatible. You can see what breeds have what morphs here. If all involved breeds have the morph in their post then they are compatible!


tab Morphs are variants of ponies without turning the pony into a different and unique breed. For instance, an Earth pony with cat ears and a tail have the Animal Crossing morph. Some morphs can not go on certain breeds, so please check out the guide linked above.

When ponies breed and they have morphs that are different but can be placed on the same breed they can often mix together or co-exist on a pony. Customers may also request morph's to be lessened when customing, such as a chicken morph not having a tail but having a beak. They can not request the morph to be more extreme, however. Breeding is the only way to have a morph alter.


tab If you want a pony from the old lines to be converted onto the new ones then please go here. You can not post for a conversion in a colorists thread.


tab We allow cosplays! However, your character is not the official character themselves. They can have the same name, personality, backstory, and looks, but they are not the character. They are a pony who is very similar to that character. That means more than one Inuyasha can exist, and all of them can look similar and behave similar.

tab As a note; Pokemon can not be commissioned right now for secret reasons.


Full Custom: You can specify every detail, or leave various parts to artist choice! You have the complete freedom to specify colors, patterns, and more.
Semi Custom: You can offer a palette and state what stage and base you want. Everything else is left up to the artist.
Blindbox: Just want a character? This gives complete freedom to the artist on everything.
Old Lines Conversion: We used to use different lines. If you have a character on those lines you can get them converted to the new ones!

tab Now that it's time to order a custom you need to know what you can and cannot order. Some things are limited. We'll have periods where limited things will become available for a short period of time here and there before being restricted once more, so keep an eye out!




tab You are permitted to request a semi, blindbox, or custom character. The level of how much freedom you give to the artist is up to you, but remember that some colorists prefer more freedom than others and may deny a request based on your request.

tab You can custom generation one characters and siblings/cousins/friends to generation one characters. You also may custom a character you received in another shop. If you just want a pony and have no idea what to ask for you can also ask for a blindbox character! More information about that is below.


tab You may not custom mockbreedings or siblings to generation two+ characters, nor can you custom parents to generation one characters and except us to label the "kids" as anything but generation one. We only add generations to those officially bred within the shop.

tab You can not request body edits that don't come from a morph. We will be adding morphs as time goes on (and even giving you chances to suggest morphs). While you may request jewelry edits, hair edits, and small critters on your ponies, you cannot ask for body edits unless they're part of a morph set that can feasibly be used. More information on morphs can be found below!

tab If you want a specific looking child in a breeding then you'll need to check the breeding rules and guidelines and see rules about that.


tab While you now know most edits are not doable without having a morph attached to them, there are a few edits that can slide by without a morph.

tab Pupil edits do not need a morph. You can have diamond shaped pupils if you wish! Sclera colors are also a non-mutation!

tab Glow does not need a morph, either! Eyes can glow and so can markings and edits. Glowing edits may be required on some breeds, but you can always receive a pony regardless of breed with glow.

tab Stitches do not usually need a morph. If a pony has stitches without a morph it is assumed it's either an aesthetic addition they did to themselves or just a feature. The body is not plushie-like, skin is not fabric, and they are not full of stuffing. If you want stitches that keep the body together and have the pony full of stuffing you'll need to find a morph that fits that.

tab Scars and wounds are body edits we also allow. Fetlocks also are free-for-all, as long as the breed allows for fetlocks.


tab You will never be able to custom an Alicorn or Awakened via colorist threads. We will release special custom slots for either of those when we wish, and events will give them out rarely. If you desperately need one and it absolutely cannot wait and you cannot do the awakening system then you can approach RLC and purchase one there.
