Mortals were fun, but there were so many, Dortoka thought as she lounged on one of the higher rocks in the area. She had been resting in the area for some time now, only moving when she needed to. It was a quiet area where she could watch her reptilian friends run about. The only down side was that it caused the large goddess to get bored. Slowly she got up, causing the lizards and snakes around her to scurry away.

Today she decided she would go on the search from something more unique specifically a god like herself. It felt like it had been years since she last seen a fellow god. She knew that staying in the same spot for days upon days would not help her in her search. If she was serious about her search she would have to do some exploring.

Dortoka started her search by land heading toward the grassy savannah. She had never been much for flying, even after she did some practicing. Gods with wings had always fascinated her. Though she thought that if she had wings they would just be a burden for her.

She kept a lookout for anything out of the ordinary as she traveled. Gods came in all sorts of different shapes and sizes. It was that reason why it was so hard to see them sometimes. Too often they camouflaged themselves among mortals. On this adventure she did not bother to change her form, making sure that if she did come across a god they would recognize her as one.

Siasa was laying under a leafy...well, she supposed it was technically a shrub, although it might also be a small tree - whatever it was, it was relief from the sun, which was all she cared about. A shallow pool of water was not far away, which was another point in the spot's favor. The mortal realm, from what she had seen so far, fluctuated between relentless heat in the middle of the day, to pouring, miserably wet downpours...followed by air so thick it seemed to coil in one's lungs.

The young goddess of wisdom had thus far remained reluctant to interact with mortals since being forced from the haven, having opted instead to observe them discreetly until she felt she had a better grasp on how they lived. It seemed to vary widely, and some of what she'd seen so far had made her feel that perhaps her presence would not be taken amiss...in some cases. In others, they almost seemed to revel in hasty, thoughtless behavior. While she supposed they were more inclined in that direction, if only because of how short their time was, it still grated along her nerves in those cases, like someone was deliberately ruffling her feathers.

She did continue to wonder what had led to her ejection from the haven-she was convinced it was linked to the ominous, strange phenomena that had been visible since then, but had yet to hear anything that seemed to explain it definitively. Although...she was forced to acknowledge that she would have likely waffled back and forth for some time longer before leaving the comfort of the familiar behind, had the choice been made for her - and it was hard to deny how much she'd already learned since her arrival in the mortal realm.

Amesema'uhuru was eyeing the water cautiously, just out of her sight. The small jackal was leery - the pool was clear, and smelled fresh...which had her wondering what predators were lurking beneath the surface, waiting for a careless land-dweller to come too close. Tentatively, she lapped at the surface, every muscle in her small body tensed, as if she was prepared to flee if a frog so much as looked at her wrong.
