Wione had left the Weyr for the day, hoping that distance and minor isolation would help Findith to keep her cool. The pale green had been glowing radiantly the last few days, and her attitude had begun to spill over into her rider, a sure sign that she'd soon be rising. While usually an enjoyable distraction for the pair, the days leading up to it could really be a chore to muddle through. When green Cloveth had taken off, trilling a challenge, Findith had thrummed with almost gold-like displeasure...for half a moment, at least. The sight of so many strapping males chasing, and knowing her own time would come soon enough, was a distraction, and the whimsical green was shortly caught up watching the flight...leaving her rider caught up in the passion of both greens. And shardit, too far from the Weyr to find company!

When a brown lit out of the area nearer to her though, further along the beach, Findith certainly noticed. And because she noticed, her rider noticed too. Where there was a dragon, there was a rider...While her green took off, angling over the Weyr in her own flight of suitors, Wione took off at a light jog across the sands. A brown could be ridden by man or woman, and she, for one, didn't care who she fount around the curve of the cove. Her green was in flight, and she wasn't apt to be left behind. When she spotted the figure, back to her, clutching at the cliff side, she smiled, angling right towards him...

...The sun was setting by the time she roused, stretching languidly upon the sands. Her green, sated, had returned at some point to curl a length down the beach, the warm surf breaking around the cloudy dragon's side. The world was bathed in shades of red, purple, gold, and despite the grit that would no doubt require a double-length bath later to scrub free, Wione felt quite pleased with herself. And with the man she was still curled against. She'd had quite a surprise when her eyes had first fluttered open, the sight of him, apparently still slumbering, in profile was...not what she'd expected. For the briefest of moments she'd tensed, eyes widening...and then relaxed. His sleeping had afforded her time to move past the shock, to note that though the lower half of his face was clearly deformed, the upper part seemed intact. And the rest of his body too had been...well. She'd wondered, laying there, if it had been thread that'd done it, though his flesh looked too cleanly warped to be from score. She hadn't dared reach out to touch...but by the time a few long minutes had passed the sight of it no longer was immediately shocking. She'd known plenty of riders, friends, even, left disfigured by thread and fire these last two turns. It hadn't changed how she felt about them...and it certainly hadn't changed the fun she'd just had.

The woman bent at the waist, sitting up, loose sandy (in color and texture) hair falling back over her shoulders, arms up, spine popping in a rapid fire burst. One hand carded over her scalp, tugging stray locks out of her face as she watched the ruddy orb of Rukbat nestle down over the distant line of the sea. She made no move to rise though, and after a moment she shifted in her seat, the faint touch of her hip against his side deepening as she let more weight slide to that side, a quiet hum breaking the not-quite-silence of the shore.

It had been so long since he had slept as well as he had, a feeling of content filled his very core. A tension that had been held in his form for so long seeming to just dissipate after the nights events. It wasn't like he remembered everything either, it was a mess of sensations and images that replayed over and over in his mind as he slept. Eldwinth's persistent pushing of lust onto him, harder then any rider should have felt during a Green Flight, it had loosened him and allowed him to give into any temptation without worry, even though he had continued to resist it.

As comfortable as he was upon the sand, sleeping naked as he was upon it wasn't that comfortable. It didn't help that his partner was shifting beside him, it helped to rouse him more, his mind trying to force his body into movement, trying to clear his thoughts. If she was already rousing that would mean...

Slowly opening his eyes, Azrael was met with the sight of the sky darkening above them as the sun was setting. He could still feel the soft skin of a hip against him, it thrilled and terrified him at the same time. To have allowed himself to be so vulnerable with someone he did not know, the disfigured lower half of his face that he hated so much on display...There was only one saving grace, if she was up before him then she had seem him and not been frightened away. The chuckle that reached his mind from Eldwinth as the brown was lazily taking his time returning made a frown crease Azrael's thin lips.

After a moment, allowing himself to awaken more, the tall and lanky form of Azrael finally sat up. His eyes moved to look at the back of the woman that was still with him, noticing a content green dragon not too far from them. As his eyes returned to look at the woman he longed to reach out and gently run his thin fingers through her hair, but stopped himself, instead raising his left hand and trying to slick back his own hair.

"Forgive me....I do not truly know the...proper etiquette that comes with this." For once, Azrael was doing his best to fight back an urge to bolt and run. It was a big hard to do something like that when you were currently naked with sand in places you didn't even know existed. His left hand did reach for the discarded bandages as he spoke, determined to at least reapply them. "I am Azrael...I have some food in my packs and I could make some klah if you are hungry or thirsty."

She felt the man stir before he woke fully. The shift in his breathing and the twitch of muscle against her. She glanced back and down at him just in time to see his eyelids start to flutter, and quickly turned back around so as to not be caught staring. She certainly felt like she could stare at him, after all. There was something fascinating—perhaps morbidly so—about his disfiguration, something that made her want to lean in, trace every pock and line and tug of the skin. She was no healer, of course, but it was different. Not like anything she'd seen. Threadscore could be similar, but it wasn't quite the same.

He levered himself up beside her, and she felt her lips tug into a slow smile. She was a treat for the eye, she knew, and especially under the dramatic lights and colors of the sunset. She could feel his appraising looks, and made no move to cover herself. After all, he'd already seen all of it! But neither did she pose unnecessarily. She was comfortable in her skin, and had no fears of being found undesirable.

When he spoke though, she realized that he must have those fears. Barring his face he seemed attractive enough: tall, strong, clearly very skilled. And what of his face was there, eyes and up, were intense and deep and, really, what woman wouldn't get lost in them? She certainly had, upon turning to face him. Hopefully he'd not think her staring at his lower face—it was his eyes that snared her now. "Well, me either, really." Her hands moved to his hands, fumbling about through their piles of clothing for...something? "Wione, of green Findith," and the green huffed further down the beach, rolling to catch the last of the sun's setting rays. "You're sweet. But, mm, first I'm thinking maybe a dip?" She bent and rose, long legs straightening as she stretched her arms overhead, bare skin glinting in the ruddy light. A hand dropped, fingers hanging just near his face. "Coming?" They wiggled slightly. "You'll itch all night if you put your clothes back on all sandy." Wiggled again, willing him to give her his hand. The ocean was right there, just begging to be run to and splashed about in.
