[Duel] Brushing off the dust [Evren/Gaspard/??]

"Hey," Gaspard said, his voice low enough to where only the dark lioness could hear him. This quiet, his tone had a softness that only ever met Evren's ears. "Relax." He bumped his mate's hip with his own as he watched her. The tan lion had already proven himself to enter the rank of Scar. He had seemed at home here the moment he crossed into its borders.

Evren, though, seemed nervous. She furrowed her brow, giving the lion a sideways look. "I am relaxed."

Her words were met only with a roll of the eyes and a breathy laugh. The dark lioness leaned against her mate for but a moment before stretching out her muscles and giving each of her limbs a good shaking out before turning towards the lions around her. It had been so long now since they had left the Burkuteshti. Their children had grown. They had seen so many different places. The war seemed like it was lifetimes ago. Sure, the couple still sparred together, but that was just one opponent. What if she had gotten rusty? What if she wasn't ready?

A steadying breath left her. There was only one way to find out. But who to challenge?

The crowd that had gathered wasn't uncommon, but most assuredly a sign of a duel about to happen. For as much as they like to fight, Outlanders also enjoyed watching said fights as well. That said, a duel for a newcomer was new, and that is what caught Shetani's attention. Besides, the Mind was ready for a break, and a good duel to test an Unbranded was always a good way to relax, in her books. She liked to keep up to date with the new blood in the pride.

That said, it probably made her stand out when the crowd parted upon realizing she was approaching. She withheld a snort at that, meandering closer to eye up the dark colored female. Ah, she vaguely remembered these two joining. The male had passed with flying colors, so she was fairly certain that regardless of the outcome of this duel, his mate would likely follow in his footsteps.

Still, an Outlander couldn't rank up without first dueling. So with a smirk, Shetani took a step forward, tail curling languidly around her back paw as she came to a stop in front of them, "I take it you're ready for a duel then?"
