User ImageName: Svanjon

Stage: Prentice

Future Class/Weapon: Assassin (He'll wield his father's old sword and then one other he gets on his own)

Race: Water/Fire

Gender: Male

3 Base Traits:

~ 3 Positive Traits: Self-Sufficient, Intelligent, Charismatic

~ 3 Negative Traits: Scheming, Selfish, Possessive

Personality:

Jyo has a good life, one in which his mother trusts him with a lot of important work, as well as the care of his sisters when she isn't able to be home with them. It's a life that anyone could be happy with, but he isn't. It's not that he doesn't love his family it's that he wants more then to be a stay at home babysitter and refuses to be a person that has to just deal with the fact that he is of poorer means. He means to come forth from that even if it means he isn't always seen as the best and most law abiding person.

It's the desire to become more that causes him to sneak around behind his mother's back, to seek out books that will help him in his road to become a powerful fighter, to fight, to steal. He doesn't want to spend the entirety of his life in a tiny village doing nothing even though that is what his mother wishes for him to do.

He will sneak out when everyone else is sleeping, go about getting people and things that he wants, and purposefully drags out errands just so he can do his own thing. Anything that might aid him to seek out time to further his own ventures. He's had times where he's been caught when he's returning from an adventure by his mother. He tends to get an earful when it happens and it causes him to try to be more careful the next time around if possible.

As he grows Svanjon will find that there seems to always be something that is just out of his reach that he desires. A want to travel to a certain locale, a certain object that everyone is after, or even the affections of a certain person... and upon finally attaining what he wants, if he is even able to, he won't want to let it go. What he found is now his, never to fall out of his grasp again, not matter if it's an object or a person, he wants it all.

Svanjon isn't one that likes to share what he considers to be his. If he went through all the work to get something then it's his and that's that. There is only one exception to this rule though, his siblings. If there is something that they want or need, something their mother can't provide or them, then he is willing to consider trading something out of his horde for that thing. It's just not something he does often as he doesn't want to draw attention to himself or what he has hidden away.

Description: Same as in the image.

Clothing: Same as in the image.

Accessories: Same as in the image.

History:

Mother: Bahiyya, Matorian Cook

Father: Hollis, Oban Sentinal, (Deceased?)

Sister: Olyvhia, younger sister, Twin to Aria (6)

Sister: Aria, younger sister, Twin to Olyvhia (6)

Sister: Nathalie, younger sister (3)

~ Single Mother: Jyo's father passed away a few years back, never to be spoke of again according to his mother, leaving the woman to raise their children on her own. It's something that has caused her to become a lot more strict as well as over protective of her children, not wanting to allow any of them to leave the the village that they live in or even their own property for that matter.

She seems to always have eyes on them or is checking up on them when she isn't at work, making it quite difficult for one to have any sort of a life outside the house. She's already lost her husband and she doesn't want to lose her children on top of that, no matter what she might have to do. Even when she's working Svanjon doesn't have a lot time to do anything on his own since he is tending to and protecting his little sisters.

It means that he needs to sneak away during those moments when his mother's eyes aren't on him. Something that includes him sneaking out at night if he can.

~ 'Dead Father': As far as he is concerned the man who was his father and the father of his various siblings is dead and in the ground. His mother refuses to speak of him, seeming angrier at a dead man then one should be in his mind. He's always chalked it up to his mother being mad at him for leaving them behind when he died. He doesn't know what he thinks one way or the other about the man but he means to at least treasure his sword even if it's something that might come back to bite him in the backside later where his mother is concerned.

~ Younger Siblings: Jyo has a few of younger siblings and often finds himself helping his mother with their care. He's a good older brother though it often gets him teased by others his age who comment on how good of a 'wife and mother' he's going to make one day. It's something that gives him a desire to stand up to such idiots. Something he means to do by gaining power of his own, as well as wealth and people to follow him, though it's something difficult to do at the moment since his mother's presence is still so strong within the household that he lives in.

*****

Growing up it's just been himself, his mother, and his younger siblings as his father vanished from their lives when he was younger and when his youngest sibling was just a baby. According to his mother his father is dead and she doesn't answer any questions passed that, just saying it in a very final 'that's that' sort of manner. His mother spends a lot of her time working various jobs trying to keep the family together.

To make up for his lack of everything he's set to work finding himself things that he wants and going about getting it in whatever way he has to go about it. He likes looking for them, working to get them, possibility stealing them, and finally getting them... though often when he finally gets what he wants he tucks it away into a sort of horde of things that were 'his and his alone' before he start lusting after the next thing that he thinks that he needs. He finds himself eager to become something akin to the dragons, like the ones that he's heard about in stories as a child and not those from Yael.

As of yet his horde hasn't been found by others but that might just be because it's not easy to get to being buried under the porch of his home. One has to crawl under the porch first, find the exact spot, and then start digging in hopes of finding what he's hidden. If someone did come to learn of it and tried to take something from him it would likely get him riled up and he'd fight whoever was trying to steal from him. On top of that he'd be likely to move the horde's location to keep anyone from coming back for another attempt.

His possessiveness is for both things and people alike though he is more likely to want to keep any human 'friends' that he finds (though possibly more as followers or possessions then friends). He finds that he wants to gather people that are in a similar, dismal situation to him, team up with them, and make sure that they can all benefit so long as he remains 'in charge' and the one that benefits the most. Svanjon is even willing to welcome into his open arms those from other tribes, other mixed bloods, of any gender. He sees no reason to discriminate when he's a hybrid himself.

He knows that some people can be hard asses as far as those of mixed blood go but he isn't of like mind. He can't even be mad at those that look down at him for his mixed blood because that's just how they might have been raised. Were one of those that mocked him to come around he'd welcome them as well. If they tried to mess with him, with his siblings, or with any friends he makes though he's more then willing to take up arms (or fists) and defend what is his.

It's fairly unlikely that he will ever lose his possessive nature as the desire to attain things is deeply ingrained into him. He might ease up a bit when his horde is sizable enough to the point that he is more then comfortable as far as wealth goes. That might just be when it comes to those that he claims as his own or his siblings though and not something that applies to just anyone.

Currently his siblings are the only ones that he wouldn't think to put at risk. If it meant giving up something that he wants to keep them safe then so be it. Strangers though he wouldn't be as considerate. Even after he moves out he is likely to send at least cash or maybe gifts tailored to each siblings or his mother back home to help out. He feels that once he's an 'adult' that he will be more free to help out as much as he pleases instead of having to be discreet about it.

RP Prompt Response From the Contest: For Svanjon he'd forever claim that his most 'prized possession' would always be whatever object it was that he had his eyes on next. Be it a necklace, an article of clothing, the attention of a particular person, or some sort of rare and expensive bit of food. No matter what it is that he wanted it is always going to be far superior then whatever he has.

The moment that he got his hands on that prize though it becomes less of prize and more of the mundane piece in his hidden treasure trove and with him soon wanting for a new thing. There is a singular piece that is more important to him then all of those things but he wouldn't speak of it out loud, not because he was ashamed of it but because his mother disliked all mention of her 'late husband'. Something that included her having taken all of the man's things in the past and saw to selling them off so as not to think about the man anymore. If she knew that he had something that belonged to the man, especially something as dangerous as a weapon, she'd likely take it away and sell it too.

It was the reason why he didn't tell her that he had taken it, didn't tell her that he'd wrapped it up in some cloth and buried it under their porch. Instead he meant to leave it hidden there until he felt that he was old enough to actually wield it with his own two hands. In his mind it was better to keep his mother out of the loop when it came to the weapon. Not to mention that he knew she wouldn't think him of the age to really wield a weapon anyway. Nor did he think that she wanted him to take up any sort of dangerous job, instead having told him in the past that it was his job to look after his siblings and when he was old enough get a job that could help the family. It was far from what he was planning on doing with his life but it was best that he didn't let her know what he meant to do with his life.

Not as though anyone wanted to hear that their child was planning to do their own thing instead of doing what his mother ordered them to do. Instead of letting her know that he just meant to do his own thing while he wasn't looking until he was old enough to wander off. Once he was on his own he meant to carve his own path using the very sword left behind by his deceased father.

Hey~ So everything looks really good so far and I just have a few questions~

Since he sneaks around a lot is there ever a chance (or has there ever been a time before) that he has gotten caught by anyone? Has his horde ever been endangered and what would he do to protect it?

Will he ever learn to be satisfied with what he has or will he forever be yearning for something else? Is this what drives him in life?

He spends a lot of time caring for his family now and helping his mother out - will that ever change or does he intend to stay near to help support his family as he grows?

How does he view other countries? And how is his life as a hybrid? Does he ever encounter issues because of his mixed blood or do things go as they go regardless of his background?

If he had to give up something from his horde for family would he do it? Or better yet what if he had the choice between finally attaining something he had desired or risk hurting a family member or friend for it?
