Strange Weather ☂

Solo or RP Format
Counts as 5 RP growth Points
Solo word minimum is 750, RP post minimum is 7

Prompt

As Spring rolls into Summer in Tendaji it appears that something is not as it should be. In fact, strange and unpredictable weather is happening all across the world. Strong storms, bizarre heat waves, unheard of snow storms, floods, and other similar events are happening in all of the countries. Some are superstitious, seeing it as a warning of great evil, others blame the Dretch, some shrug it off as a freaky incident, and others ignore that it's even such an oddity.

However, one thing is certain - all the lands are dealing with these weird weather outbreaks in their own way. How are you handling matters? Do you try to help others, are you too focused on yourself, or do you want to try and find answers for the causes behind these recent events? Or did you get caught out in the disaster yourself and these are your memories of how you had to fight against the odds to get to safety?

Basically this is a solo (or a rp with a friend) to write out how your character is being affected by these strange occurrences in Tendaji.

Please see the below to see what is occurring in each region!

Chibale and Matori are both suffering from snow - something that has rarely hit these warmer countries before! A blizzard especially is unheard of.

Jahaur and Yael are experiencing drought. Rain hasn't fallen for the last couple of weeks...

Tale, Sauti, and Oba are experiencing massive amounts of rain to the point that some of the desert is flooding.

Zena is having the strangest heat wave and some areas once covered year-round with snow and ice are even starting to melt...

Belrea is shaken. Literally. A huge earthquake has ripped through the continent scaring many and even now faint rumbles from its impact shift at random beneath your feet.

Nothing had become intolerable of late but he would admit that things had gotten a bit more difficult since the rains had stopped coming. It was dry out which made the heat seem worse, not to mention that one had to walk further to get their hands on water to drink. Less water meant less animal activity which mean less food as well. Not that he was some child that would break down if he didn't get what he wanted when he wanted it of course. It was just another test to make sure that he was strong enough.

Well, not just him. He had a feeling that it was test for everyone. Some sort of test that was going to help them to prepare for the future and for the battle against the Dretch, perhaps? There were so many things out in the world that one had to be prepared for and he had the feeling that the fight against the Dretch was where a lot of his training was leading. He wondered if he would even be ready for it when the time came but it impossible to say. Mostly because he wasn't sure that he would ever get his strength to the point where he was pleased with it. He felt as though he wasn't strong enough no matter how hard he trained with his Alkidike mother and on his own.

Zigaran got up to his feet from where he was sitting in the branches of a tree and made his way down to where Dinis was located. He watched for a moment as the radaku growled and chewed on a stick that he'd found. He watched for a moment before shaking his head, "Dinis, no more playing around. We need to get back home so that we can see about some more lessons from mother." Well, it was more he would get lessons from the woman and Dinis would get lessons from Zigaran after the fact. That was just how things were done since his mother wasn't one to train beasts that didn't have a very important task assigned to them. Dinis was a guardian beast of sorts, one meant to keep Zigaran safe, but it would be Sindrys that he rode one day when he became strong enough to be called a 'Guardian' among the other sisters that served Aisha.

Speaking of other sisters that served Aisha he found himself thinking for a moment on Ahwana and what she might be doing. The two of them seemed to run into one another from time to time but it was never in a manner that was anything but antagonistic. They butted heads over everything, got into arguments, sometimes full on fights, but given the current weather they hadn't done so. There was more to worry about then petty infighting when there were actual things on the line, huh?

As he walked along back toward home the leaves beneath his feet set to crunching and cracking, a sound that had his nose wrinkling a bit. He hadn't really noticed before now that the weather had caused the trees to suffer in such a way. It meant that leaves were falling, drying, and making it so that when one walked through them that they made a ton of noise. That was just asking dangerous things to notice the fact that he was present where they might be able to strike out at him. He'd have to be that much more careful now, wouldn't he? He'd have to keep his eyes open, keep his weapon in hand, and be ready for whatever might come of the new danger that he'd just discovered.

"Be a bit more quiet, Dinis." He told him this but that didn't meant that the beast was actually going to listen to him. It wasn't exactly an order that a beast could understand. Still, the words had escaped him before he could even consider what it might sound like coming out from his mouth. Glancing around he made sure that his mother wasn't around, certain that she'd shake her head at him for saying such a thing out loud. Lucky for him the woman wasn't around and he seemed to be in the clear.

Lifting his gaze for a moment he glanced around the tree tops for his second familiar who was actually the more powerful of the two. It took him only a moment to spot her and then he looked ahead once more. She was there, following along after the two of them at her own pace, so that meant that he didn't have to worry about her presently. Once they got home then maybe he'd see about calling her down to him but for now the big chiavi was alright on her own. She had a lot of strength, nothing held her back, and that was why she would make a grand mount like none other one day. At least that was what he felt. She just needed a lot more in the way of training before she was there was all.

Looking ahead where his home was he spotted his two mothers standing outside chatting, something that caused a slight smile to appear on his slips. It seemed as though they were present so that meant he could get some extra training in if he was lucky. With that thought in mind he put thoughts on the weather aside and quickened his steps to close the ground between himself and his mothers that much more quickly.
