Fashaq was a loud lion in ant respect; he was quiet and thoughtful, muted in color, and he wasn't particularly huge. Though built and muscular, he wasn't a towering creature. He had managed to make do, though. Movements of battle felt natural in his bones, almost worrisomely so. There was a sort of release in tactical battle, in executing a plan, in sinking claws and fangs in flesh…
So it felt good to be out of the pride lands again. His captain had gathered them just outside the pride's borders, having not been a fan of the grand send-offs that would happen occasionally. Fashaq had no problem with this. He'd much rather just go and get the job done.
He had been told that some new faces would join the band for this brief venture to explore an area rumored to be inhabited by some roaming traders, a trip that he imagined wouldn't take more than a day or two at most.
As the band started moving out, Fashaq waited in patient thought. As the two lions approached, he turned to him, giving a nod. He didn't feel the need to size them up. If the captain had agreed to bring them, they must have been capable. "Afternoon," he murmured, his voice naturally a low and gravely tone.
