Lykas finished packing the items he believed he would need and, deciding it would be a wise decision to bring it, he grabbed the Master Ball containing his recently snagged Regice as well. Once he was packed up, he went to see Odd in the medlab. "Make sure you focus on healing." He told the Channeler, giving him a careful hug so as to not hurt him any worse than he already was. "I have a personal mission I have to go on and I'm not sure how long I'll be gone at the moment." He explained, his eyes darting to the side when Odd questioned why he was leaving now. "It's important that I do this before Flare makes another move. I don't have any time to waste.", was all Lykas said in response. "I'll be back as soon as I can."
With a small wave, the hybrid left the medlab, left a note for Sub not to call him unless Flare started moving again and that he would be in Hoenn, despite his hatred for the region, and then left. "We're going to Hoenn." Was all he said as he released Mykel from his ball. "Or rather, I am. You're coming back here and staying safe."
"Like Hell I am." Mykel retorted. "You're not going into ground zero for the Shadow plague and expecting me to stay behind. I won't leave you out there." The Gardevoir snapped back.
Lykas shook his head, a hand on his forehead as he laughed to himself. "I don't know why I didn't expect that kind of answer from you." He said more to himself than Mykel. "If you won't stay here, then you're staying in your ball as much as possible. I can't risk one of my strongest Pokemon and, currently, my only Mega Evolution-capable partner getting infected with that virus." He insisted. Mykel nodded. "Alright. Then... Take us to Mossdeep City for now. We're heading toward Ever Grande but we've never been there before so I'm pretty sure your Teleport won't get us there."
Mykel nodded and with a flash of blue-green light, the pair vanished, warped away to the Hoenn region. They'd appear outside the Pokemon Center in Mossdeep city shortly, with Lykas looking both frustrated and nervous. "I'm trying to remember what all information I've been able to find and i'm not doing so hot." He said to himself. "There's someone called a 'Gyaan' that supposedly lives in the wilds near Ever Grande City that knows about Varuna and is a supposed Water Master." He told himself, raising a finger for each point he remembered. "And my so-called mother seems to not know much else about that nor does Sub. Great. The blind leading the blind...er."
Shaking his head once again, the Hybrid proceeded to do two things. The first of those things was to recall Mykel to his ball and the second was to find a windboard rider on the beach and then commandeer their board. Tossing out Moor's ball and letting the Finneon loose, he had the Water-type follow him as he sailed out over the waters, using the natural wind and the board's sail to drive him onward. Only when the natural wind became scare did Lykas direct Moor. "Tailwind." Was all he said. The Finneon nodded and, with a flap of wing-like tails fins, a slipstream of wind from behind the pair sprang to life and allowed Lykas to keep moving with the winds seemingly following the pair as they traveled. Any time the wind died down, Lykas called for Moor to act again and restore the winds to life for him. At this rate, it shouldn't take too long to get to Ever Grande, he thought.
