Taijana was ready for the Summer heat, or so she'd thought.

There had always been certain expectations with the changing seasons. She knew what to look for once the winds warmed, and flowers started to bloom. It had always been an enjoyable change for the mother of two; something that allowed not only her daughters the freedom to run around outside, but herself as well. She didn't have to bundle up when hunting, nor did she have to worry about her family catching some sort of augue.

What she hadn't expected was the drought.

Tai sat outside the entrance of her home as exhaustion settled around her. It was too hot to think, let alone try to hunt. Prey were sticking closer to watering sources these days, and while it would have been easy enough to find them, dehydrated beasts half dead from heat didn't appeal to her. They had enough rations to last until the next rain, or so she'd said in the beginning.

As days stretched into weeks Taijana started to wonder if that was true.

There was so much sweat clinging to her that she felt perpetually gross, and near fainting. Taijana had never been a sturdy woman; she was delicate, that much she knew. Over-exerting herself in these conditions wouldn't do well for anyone, but sitting around just seemed....frustrating.
