Brian waited with baited breath as the Pokeball hit the Trapinch and sucked her inside. It fell to the floor and rocked three times before it was still, signaling a successful capture. He let out the breath he'd been holding, then smiled as he walked over to Amiga with her Pokeball in hand. "Well done, Amiga," he said, patting her gently on the head. "Once we get out of here and find the item we need, I'll make sure ye get to a Pokemon center, I promise. Now, return!" The Rock-type was too tired to argue, and allowed herself to be sucked back into her Pokeball without a fight. While she wasn't sure about having the Trapinch on the team, she trusted that Brian knew what he was doing.
Once Amiga was safely back in her ball, Brian picked up Trapinch's Pokeball and smiled once again. He would have to see to it that both Trapinch and Amiga received medical attention immediately upon returning to the mainland. "Now, let's see if we can get out of here," he said. "But first, let's get Trapinch healed and figure out a name for her." Having said this, he opened Trapinch's Pokeball, calling the Ground-type out. She was in bad shape, barely able to stand, let alone attack him now. He pulled a potion from his bag and approached her slowly.
"Hey, Trapinch, I'm going to heal ye," he said, showing her the potion. "It'll sting a bit, but ye'll feel better in a few minutes." Trapinch couldn't really resist, as tired as she was, and she allowed her new trainer to spray the potion on her, crying out as the medicine stung her already tender skin. After a few moments, however, the pain and injuries she'd sustained faded, leaving her refreshed and ready to go. "We need a name for ye," Brian said. "Oh, I know! I'll call ye Dragna." The newly-dubbed Dragna tilted her head, and although she wanted to bite him again, she refrained, grateful that the hand she'd bitten in the first place had just made her feel a whole lot better. "Let's see if we can't get out of here," Brian said, as he and Dragna started walking toward what he hoped was the exit.
Hanging from the ceiling, the Zubat had witness all of the battle. It had never seen a human either, but after feeling the waves bouncing off the trapinch one ore and then not the next. Then its waves were bouncing off of the Nosepass and then it was not, but then the Trapinch came back, but not the Nosepass.
Yeah, it was sure, it didn't want to met a human either as it stay silent as the creatures walked underneath it.
Brian couldn't see the Zubat hanging above him and Dragna, though Dragna could sense it. The Ground-type didn't pay it any heed, however, as the two of them passed beneath the Zubat. Dragna was unsure as to how she felt about being captured by the human she'd taken a bite out of, though she was thinking about what the Nosepass had said. He makes me stronger, she had said. Perhaps there was something to this 'trainer,' she mused. She would stay with him for now, perhaps let him help her get stronger, as well. But for now, she wanted out of this place. Brian could tell that Dragna was thinking, although about what, he didn't know. He didn't ask, however, as he was more focused on getting out of the cavern. Purr still had his hat, but even without it, he was starting to get a little too warm. Now he just hoped he could get out before he overheated.

Garnet's attempt at angering the pikipek was far more successful than the ghost could have intended. A powerful strike from the small bird sent Garnet soaring back, nearly robbing her of her consciousness. Of course, such a strong attack had a price, forcing the pikipek to suffer a fraction of the damage she had inflicted. In comparison to the powerful blow, though, it was certainly a small price to pay for the bird pokemon. It was a surprise that Garnet remained conscious at all, as the slightest amount more of an impact would have knocked Naia's only pokemon unconscious and left the human mostly defenseless.
In spite of the massive damage, Garnet's shriek of pain didn't take long to change into a wicked cackle. >"Aaaaahahahehehe! Such an angry bird~ I see I'll just have to cool off that temper of yours,"< the ghost taunted as she inhaled, ready to put the pikipek on ice. She got a deep lungful (or whatever counted for lungs in a floating head), lined up her target -
"Garnet! Get over here!"
- and found herself deflating like a balloon as she let the held wind out slowly and harmlessly. The ghost give the angry mother pikipek an embarrassed smile. >"Um... Hold that thought, dearie~"< the misdreavus quickly said before hurrying over to her trainer. Almost as soon as she got there, the human grabbed a hold of one of the locks of hair - not that it would have actually meant anything if the misdreavus didn't let her - and pulled the ghost pokemon close to spray on one of the potions the girl had been given before leaving the classroom.
Naia scowled as she sprayed on the healing liquid. "I don't know what you told that bird, but watch yourself! If you go down, my only option is to try capturing her, and I highly doubt she'd be willing to protect me without any sort of threat to her health." The girl thought a bit at her own last statement and her frown deepened. "Actually, I'm not even sure the threat of an icy grave would get her to cooperate," the child mused. She had destroyed the bird's nest and any eggs within, and while she wasn't familiar with such protectiveness herself, she was well aware of how fierce some mothers could be when something precious was at risk or taken from them.
As soon as Garnet was healed, Naia immediately let the ghost go and tried - mostly in vain - to put some distance between herself and the pokemon. There wasn't exactly much of anywhere the girl could go while on the branch, and the prospect of trying to drop down with an angry bird flying about seemed like a poor one. Garnet did a much better job of putting distance between herself and her trainer, being able to fly and phase through whatever branches might find themselves in her flight path. Usually.
{{OoC: At least... Of all the places for my muse to take a nosedive, it was a point that makes things comparatively easy... I dug up the last Pikipek post so you don't have to hunt for that... I'm just gonna go cry in a corner now and hope I don't fall into another rut anytime soon...}}

A whoosh of steam would come out in front of him with enough heat to actually be scalding. In his path, wasn't one or two, but thirty Torkoals, who it would seem was having a good afternoon, nighttime, perhaps, daytime nap. Each one, a part of this huge Bale, what were just hanging out it seems. But, considering the internal heat of these turtles it would make the area even hotter, and not only that, but the path out of the tunnel lay directly in front of them.
If Brian planned to get out of the cavern, he would have to get pass each and every one of them.
Things did not look good for the boy, not at all, and considering that a Trapinch didn't have any sort of heat resistances ...things didn't look good for the pokemon either. Thus, he was left with only two choices, go back and try and find an easier path or trudge through.
If he goes through, he risk being burnt to a crisp, but if he goes back ...there was no telling if he could find such a direct path or even if their was another path to go at all.
The choice is his.
(If you choose to go through, you need to roll 3dice 20, and all odd numbers will equal to injuries taken by Brian. Also, if your odd numbers out number your even numbers, you will have a pokemon battle with one of the Torkoals as well. If the even numbers outnumber your odd numbers, you will reach the end of the cavern automatically.)

Her wings were spread wide, her eyes watching them with pure malicious intent as she waited for the attack to come. She had failed to put that pokemon back in it's poke ball, but she the next time she strike, she would end it.
Not only that, but when she succeed ..she would kill that trainer. She would pull her soul from her body and then rip her corpse into tiny pieces. The pokemon's mind was completely on killing the trainer and how bloody she would make the act that when the ghost type was called back she didn't react immediately.
She didn't flutter after her, but simply waited thinking they were going to figure out some futile plan that she would smash through. Then something happen, something that she never once expect, the pokemon came back to her trainer and she sprayed something on it.
Something that healed its wounds.
No!
No, she was so close and that maggot creature healed it. Her anger rose another notch again. She had made a slight error, she couldn't get close ...it can't be a situation where survival was even an option.
No, this time, she would force that ghost back into the poke ball or die trying. Her attacks from this point on would be completely and utterly relentless.
She screeched high pitched as the trainer and pokemon actually race away from each other.
Were they going to split up and run away.
She turned her eyes on the pokemon, because no matter what the trainer did it would not save her.
Even at her fastest climb, the trainer couldn't escape, because she could fly. The ghost though, phase through everything, she couldn't afford to let it get too far. If that ghost type managed to get away she could actually lose it.
The bird body shivered as another cackle escape her.
She would never let them escape.
Never, never, never!!!!
The Pikipei went after the newly healed ghost type with another Brave bird.

Bravebird is an attack where the user puts themselves at risk as they drive at their opponent to try and hit and get a powerful hit. It takes a truly brave bird to utilize this attack.
Brian and Dragna trudged through the heat in an effort to get out of the area. It was starting to get to Brian, and he knew he needed to get out of there, and soon. Dragna didn't seem to be doing much better, and when a whoosh of steam suddenly headed their way, Brian was hard-put not to pass out from the heat. Looking forward, his eyes widened as he beheld at least 30 Torkoal blocking the path. This could be a major problem, he thought. I can't have Dragna battle them all, and Amiga is too injured for another battle. Purr won't be able to withstand this heat for long, so Dragna's my only choice here. He sighed softly, causing Dragna to look up at him. The longer we stand here, the longer it'll take to get out of this place, he thought. "Let's see if we can sneak around them, Dragna," he said. The Trapinch nodded, not wanting to wind up getting roasted, and kept quiet as they began to make their way through the pile of Torkoal, hoping they wouldn't disturb any.
Not a single pokemon would shift. Not one muscle, not one inch as he went through and the steam would explode at random from their backs and even from a few of their noses.
Brian's steps would seem to be quite sure, he would avoid the group at the beginning with near misses but he was perfectly safe ...until he got to the middle and one blast of steam would blow from a distance.
Safe was the thought until something smoldering would hit him in the head. It had been something trapped in the back of one of the Torkoal that had been blasted upwards to land on him with a searing hit.
The metal hot, but something that the boy couldn't just drop as he would recognize it as the item he came all this way to find.
The one that the professor assistant had sent him to find ...which meant, that Brian adventure was done here ...if he wished it.
Now, he only had to make it out as he would reach the exit of the cave as he pass the last group of Torkoal. No more injuries, but the one from the very hot object.
Brian and Dragna carefully picked their way through the sleeping Torkoal, the occasional blast of steam erupting from backs or noses. They got through most of them, but Brian stopped abruptly when something hit him in the head, nearly making him cry out from the pain of the smoldering metal before he remembered that he was trying to be quiet and picked the object up off the floor, careful not to burn his hands as he did so. He was surprised to see that it was the necklace he'd been sent to find, and he smiled as he carefully attached it to his backpack, making sure the larger part of the metal wouldn't touch the fabric. "Alright, Dragna, let's get out of here," he said. The Trapinch nodded as the two of them made their way through the rest of the Torkoal, then finally, out of the cave.
The center of the island, a beautiful resort that now lay in disarray as the signs of the pokemon rampage is clear. Furniture, trash, and multiple items of debris lay scattered around the area. Proof of the damage the pokemon had caused as it would seem that to find what you were sent for, you would literally have to search through the trash.
Brian would come out of the cave at the southern end of the resort. Before him, would stand two things, the Minature golf course and right next to it ...the helicopter pad.
What would he do now? Would he continue to explore this place, or simply summon his ride home ...as it would seem that the helicopter pad had little debris that would stand in the way of a helicopter landing.
Brian and Dragna smiled when they were finally out of that sweltering cave, Brian more so since he was no longer roasting. But now that they were out of the heat, their eyes widened when they saw the resort, which had been overrun by wild Pokemon. What had caused the Pokemon to take over the resort in the first place, Brian had no idea, but he wasn't stopping to find out. Although he wanted to explore, he'd made a promise to Amiga to get her to a Pokemon Center as soon as he was out of the cave, and he intended to keep it. Looking to one side, he could see the helicopter pad, and he pulled out the pendant he'd been given and pressed the button on the back of it once again. A few minutes later, the chopper landed, and he returned Dragna to her Pokeball before boarding the aircraft. "Take me back to the Academy, please!" he told the pilot, as the chopper lifted off.
As the pair were traveling along, a pokemon would step directly into their path. Smiling brightly the water monkey held up both paws to show it was it being harmless. He then reached to the top of his head and quickly snatched one into each paw and covered it quickly. It was simple. This was a game that they could participate in. If they would like to, of course. The monkey would hold out both covered paws and wait to see if they would like to play and if so what they would choose. The obvious choices were either left or right? Which one?
The boy's eyes were shining at the sight of the water type pokemon. Water type, was exactly what he needed for his island, and this point had fingers. Usable, flexible, fingers, which meant that if he could capture this pokemon it can actually be of use to his team. Though it would seem that battling wasn't what this pokemon had in mind as it held out two hands.
It wanted to play a game.
Fine, but no matter how this game went ....Mizuki plan to walk away with a prize as he smiles and then reaches out a hand to touch the right paw.
Almost as soon as the pikipek let out a shrill shreek, Naia fell to one knee and ducked her head in case the sound was a warning for some impending attack. One breath, two, and Naia muttered a few colorful curses as she realized her fear had gotten the better of her and made the girl turn her back on an enemy. Cautiously standing back up, the young trainer turned and searched for her avian opponent. She caught sight of the bird as it gave up trying to tilt and dive past branches and used a powerful bash to try and punch through the foliage and collide with Garnet. It... Didn't work.
Naia had a choice to make and decided the bird wasn't worth the risk. Besides, a suicidal move would be a hinderance at this point in her mission, no matter how powerful. "Icy Wind back the way you came!" the girl called out, not able to really see where Garnet was at the moment but confident the ghost would understand what she meant. They couldn't really afford to waste the opportunity they had.
Giggling like the madwoman she could be, Garnet spun around to face the thick grouping of branches she had phased through to evade the grieving pikipek. >"Time to put you on ice~"< the ghost gloated, her voice almost nauseatingly sweet, before letting out a long, deep breath of frigid air. Sure, the branches might actually work against the ghost and shield the pikipek from the frost. That was certainly a risk. But the bird might also be trapped inside a net of branches, unable to escape before the cold robbed the raging pokemon of her strength. It was a gamble, and one both Naia and Garnet were willing to take.
{{OoC: I'm probably gonna regret this, but I'm gonna try to kill the Pikipek. XD Considering I've got what's left of the tree to climb down, plus I think I have to trudge through the rest of the forest...? I should have lots of useful targets to try and capture. As long as Naia doesn't fall down a pit like Brian did. 8P}}

She would power her wings as strong as she could, but they were too far ahead. She had missed her chance, and as she sped after the hated pokemon it would turn ...it would turn and fire at her. The narrowness of the branches would seemed to try and impeded her as she move to avoid it all. Her wings spread wide, she try to drop underneath the winds and if the branches tear into her ..she couldn't feel it anyway.
Her heart was numb, her soul was numb, and her body ...had followed in their footsteps. The only thing that she could feel inside of her now was rage and determination. Rage at what had happen, and determination to destroy the ones responsible.
