A tropical slice of paradise meant to give Team Rocket's administration somewhere to relax; however, construction has been delayed following conflict with local wildlife. Though abandoned by workers, the project itself has not been discarded. Many things of value still remain on the island, and the Organization has no intention of leaving them behind.
Yet who is brave or foolish enough to take on such a task? Why, Academy Students, of course! With everything to prove, young trainers flock to this place to put their skills to the test; but will they simply complete their mission, or go beyond the call of duty?
Either way the road ahead is fraught with peril. Hopefully the beginning of your journey will not also be it's end.

Rules
- There are three sections to the Island, each containing three different types of pokemon, Common, Uncommon, & Rare. To reach each of the three rings, you must post ten times, and each time that you post you must roll 1d20.
- If you Roll any number higher than 10 ...you will encounter a pokemon to fight & defeat. If you roll a 1 you will experience have to battle the Guardian of that area.
- HP does not reset/heal after battle, so each battle you fight will take a greater toll on your pokemon.
- Once your pokemon's HP reaches 0 your pokemon will faint/ If your pokemon's HP is knocked below -7 your pokemon will die. Thus, knowing when to leave a battle is your best chance of survival, and avoiding unnecessary conflict can save your life.
- To capture a pokemon, you must roll 1d20. The number needs to be higher than the pokemon's Capture Rate.
- You must roll 1 D4 in your first post to determine which of the three paths you will end up on.
The Frying Pan The first thing you notice as you land upon the mushroom rock is how hard it is to tell where the earth meets the sky. The air is clear, and you can see for miles over the flat dusty expanse. If you squint, you may notice strange glassy or dark patches, but for the most part, the world is whiter than a bone and twice as lifeless. The atmosphere is strangely charged-- the air picks up as you make your way down, as if ushering you forward. This place is not for humans. Keep moving.
It seems the pilot decided to drop you off in an unusual spot. Surrounded by leaves, bark, and a vertical drop that would make even a seasoned trainer uneasy, you find yourself nestled in the bows of a great tree. Yet this is no ordinary tree! It is the king of this domain, a tree of such colossal proportions you can walk along the many interconnecting branches like a pathway. Practically tall as a mountain, with a trunk as thick as your average high rise, the tree provides a clear view of the distant resort....and little else thanks to a sea of trees far below. You've no choice but to make your way down to the bottom; but tread carefully. The drop isn't the only danger around here. Many Pokemon call this place home, and are unlikely to take kindly to trespassers.
Everlast Summit Your ride drops you right on the peak of the island's tallest mountain. If you look down, you can see the wilderness, and perhaps the resort if you strain your vision. But for now, what lies before you is a steep rocky path coated with ice and snow. If you inhale deep and exhale, you'll see your breath pour out in white swirls. Is your respiration labored? The air seems thin. Perhaps you should find your way down the mountain before the oppressive atmosphere takes a toll.
Flying is something that Muziki enjoys, but not as much as Atiena. Being a flying type, she soars after the helicopter and sometimes lands on the feet at the bottom when her own wings got too tired to keep her aloft. The flight was a long one, so the boy knew that walking back to the academy wasn't about to be possible as he rests with his back against the seat.
What was going to happen next? He had no clue. What was going to be expected of him? He had no clue, but he ready ...as he watches out the window his pokemon swooping and diving.
They were getting closer now, he figured as the pilot would have some words with him.
Things were going to get much more interesting from now on.
The boy would check his instrument maker on his back to make sure it was secure before they came in for their landing.
The boy and his bird pokemon would be able to immediately know the difference in climate. Hopefully he was wearing some thick clothes as snow and ice emerged in front of him. They had landed on a mountain part of the island and from there on, it would only continue to drop in temperature.

Muziki had never been more happy that he changed clothing. If he had come in his original garb, he would have been freezing his butt off. The feeling of claws on his shoulder would make him aware that his luck hadn't extended to his partner. The poor pokemon was freezing her feather off ...as the boy would pull his hood over his head as he left it up enough to let his pokemon crawl onto of his head as she burrow herself in his hair and hood.
The pokemon would settle down and Muziki would sigh.
"We couldn't have picked a worst place for us. Cold isn't good for instruments...I wonder what would be the best ones for this sort of weather. Or, maybe we should just stick to vocals until we are out of the cold."
He would declare as Atiena would simply chirp her agreement and disagreement to his plan. As anyone would say, the show must go on.
As the boy and his bird would start on their climb down the icy, rocky and slippery path, the snow would start falling. It would start out light, a few pieces that were barely noticeable. But it would start to fall heavier and heavier, until it was blinding. It would be hard for the two to see in front of them, never mind any other places on this mountain. However if they were looking hard enough, they might notice that there was a patch of brown slightly lighter then the ground, rocks, ect that were around it. They could attempt to go bother the pokemon, if they wanted. The pokemon itself wasn't going to bother them, no it was too busy trying to burrow away and stay warm in the cold.

Muziki was never the type to chase down trouble, and thus, he would pull out of his instrument pack of wonders a tape player. Switching it on, he would put the buds into his ears as he walks along.
Since it would seem that instruments was out ..making a journey silently seemed to be a big no, no in his book. So, he started to hum his song at first before breaking out into a full song.
"I've gotten use to supernatural insanity.
Enough that to suppose that life is peaceful and benign."
He song lowly to himself as they continue throughout he snow.
"But I am caught on the rail of this masochistic thrill ride."
"And I know there is something I can't lose sight of."
Muziki continue to sing to himself. His foot steps seems to be the only sound in this world of white as each crunch of snow seems to be in rhythm with the song.
The snow thankfully wasn't too deep, because, his shoes easily sank down and the coldness spread over his toes as he feet got wet from the snow. Neither he nor his feather friend should stay in the snow too long, the risk of the cold was much more than Muziki wanted to think about as he tries to keep his mind on the song he was singing and not the stinging in his feet.
"I am swallowed by egalitarian philosophy
And I can't figure out what my emotions really mean.
But if can't relay what exactly what I am feeling.
The volume of his song rose as he got to the next lines.
"As I step into the night
To the crowds among the street
They're all happy in their happiness
and lonely in their loneliness."
The boy actually quicken his pace at this point. Muziki's smile got wider as he felt his partner, Murkrow on his head start to squirm abit. This was a bit of a wacky song, but it's one that he has song before, so she knew this part. She normally dance the steps to it, but because of the cold and her own weakness it was best she did it all on his head instead of in the snow.
That was a bit of a problem considering the space there, but still she move around anyway on his head.
"it's spinning all around.
Like melodies from notes upon the sheet.
The rhythm of the music singing
Marmalade and sugar song, peanuts and a bitter step."
Despite her original boldness, the girl ended up shuddering in her seat for most of the ride. As someone who was used to the ebb and flow of the tides, one would think a little turbulence shouldn't have bothered the young trainer, but even without any rolls, loops, or whatever other tricks the pilot might have done, Naia was doing everything she could to keep from crying out. Being so far off the ground was a new experience for her, one that she quickly learned she despised. Even if the machine she was riding in was sturdy, as Naia's flight approached the island she felt as though what little solid matter was beneath her feet would drop out from under her at any moment.
Wasn't sure if you still wanted to give her a real fright by dumping her "like a bomb" and didn't want to deprive you of that pleasure if you did. lol

While the boy and his pokemon were blissfully singing and dancing (in the Murkrow's case), there was a loud thudding noise. Thump. Thump. Thump. In the slight distance, there seemed to be a huge white cloud of snow heading in their direction. The thudding noise would get louder and louder and the cloud would continue to cover whatever it was coming towards them. Finally with a toss of his head, the snow would float to the ground and a Rhyhorn glared at the pair, crimson eyes gleaming. There were intruders on the island and it looked like he was the one that was going to deal with them. Slamming both his front feet into the ground, whether the musician would want to or not, a fight was about to begin. There was unfortunately no way to avoid it.. They could try running if they really wanted to...and see exactly how well that would fare.
Brian rode in the chopper to Paradise Island in relative silence. He was using this time to think about how he was going to begin his search for the item he was supposed to find, as well as wondering what kind of Pokemon he might encounter. Devote had said that he didn't know what kind of Pokemon were currently residing on the island, so Brian needed to keep his wits about him if he wanted to make sure that he didn't make the same mistake he'd made during his first battle to enroll at the Academy. He had no desire for Purr to be injured any more than necessary, and he was unwilling to let her get hurt to the point that she might die. That being said, he was determined to see his mission through, while at the same time, doing what he could to ensure that Purr would be alright, as well. All he could do for now was wait until the chopper deposited him at his destination, and see where to go from there.
The helicopter would suddenly change from it's normally peaceful cruise. The machine would begin a steady descent downwards manipulating into a dive. They were fast approaching coming closer and closer to the ground. As fate would have it, the floor beneath Naia would indeed slide open causing the trainer to take a nice plummet below. Luckily the pilot had gotten close enough so that Naia would have nothing but maybe a bruise or two from her abrupt contact with landing in a tree's thick branch. She had arrived at her destination and now she was ready to start on her first adventure outside of the academy. First she had to figure out exactly how to get down.

Dirt would be swirling everywhere but when it cleared, the helicopter was already on it's way back. Brian was left alone with only his pokemon for company. They had landed in a barren wasteland. The temperature was burning up, with nothing in sight for miles all around. The only choice they had was to chose a direction and start walking!
