Name: Lizabet (Lizzie) Kaerina Albernik
Stage: Prentice
Race: Geian
Gender: Female
3 Base Traits:

Creative: Although her family’s trade calls for long hours of hard work, caring for her cousin has allowed Lizzie to indulge in her more creative side. Because Aedeline isn’t able to play outdoors as much as most children, they’ve spent long hours together painting, reading, sewing, crocheting or knitting. One of her greatest joys has come from taking the fruits of her family’s labor and using the materials to create beautiful works of food and clothing. She spent hours learning to can preserves, make cheeses, cook, and bake under her mother’s tutelage and will pack up a picnic basket with the treats resulting from a morning’s work to treat her cousin with a special picnic in the garden to brighten her day. She adores Aedeline and anything she can do to make the small girl smile warms her heart immensely, so while no one asked her outright, she’s found herself to be her cousin’s closest playmate and guardian.

Conscientious: Despite her love for galavanting through the woods with Aedeline, Lizabet isn’t shy of putting in long hours on the family farm. She is dedicated in rising early to care for the farm’s livestock and kneeling in their fields to rid them of pesky weeds. Though in no area is she more dedicated than that of her family. As the eldest child in her small family she has developed a strong will and impression that her younger relatives rely on her. While she doesn’t dote upon her younger brothers, she does hold them accountable to their actions and will happily spoil them with delicious food and smothering hugs. Her persistent and unwavering dedication is more readily seen in how she attends to Aedeline, treating her with a gentle and doting love as if she were the sister she’s never had. She is willing and ready to challenge anyone who dares judge the sweet child by her illness and is resolute in making sure Aedeline’s childhood is filled with as much joy as she can handle.

Tenacious: While her dedication to home and family may be admirable, this attribute comes with an overbearing quality. Once she’s decided to do something, it’s quite the task to try to sway her from her unwavering pursuit in accomplishing the task or plan- leading to bouts of fierce, but short-lived, arguments with those she’s closest to. She is susceptible to forcing her will on others- insisting that her younger brothers take a certain course of action or pressuring Aedeline to participate in activities that she may not feel up to. Despite her good intentions she has pushed too hard on occasion and triggered a bout of her cousin’s pain- raking Lizzie with guilt in its wake.

Personality: She’s bold, boisterous, beautiful and knows it! Lizzie is proud of who she is and where she comes from, treasuring the land and sky for the gifts they bring her family each and every day. Her joyful exuberance for life drips from every pore and shines through her smile. She’ll walk right into your life, shoot out a hand, and offer to be your friend without hesitation or restraint. She’s stubborn, headstrong, and won’t let you hide glumly in a corner- demanding that you come outside to bask in the sunlight and dance in the rain.

Description: Lizzie’s full Geian heritage shows in her matching mint green hair and eyes, warm chocolate skin tone and cream markings. Her markings started as a mandala-esque design radiating from her shoulder and has begun spreading down her arm- growing with looping lace-like scallops in an arrangement of organic lines that evoke a floral motif. Her high cheekbones and narrow jaw give her face a heart-shaped appearance that is easily complemented by the thick cascading curls of her grandmother and wide-lipped smile of her mother that brightens her face alongside her twinkling large eyes and bold arched brows that are an echo of her father’s. She has a narrow frame lithe with muscle from tending to fields and climbing trees, and while she is of no significant stature, one can tell just by looking that she has a fierce spirit. While hands are rarely neat and reflect a life of hard work and creative pursuits- spattered with watercolors, dirt beneath her short nails, caked with flour, or nicked by embroidery needles- you can bet that her mother is quick to call out to her that she scrub her hands the moment Lizzie enters their home.

Clothing: Lizabet’s wardrobe evokes a sense of whimsy and adventure. She tends to wear hardy boots that can stand up to trudging through fields and woods, but accents those with feminine stockings or socks. Lizzie gravitates towards layering soft pastels of creams, greens, blues, and yellows with heavier browns and tans; such as wearing a rich brown cardigan over a pastel frocks and petticoats. Her skirts, dresses, and trousers tend to be shorter to prevent them dragging in the dirt during her work, and she’ll wear sturdier fabrics if she’s working in the fields with her family.

Accessories: A majority of Lizzie’s accessories are handmade or family heirlooms. As in her clothing, she adores soft, natural, and feminine touches: like ribbons, lace, and wild flowers. She enjoys wearing quirky accents like a crochet-flower necklace, eclectic charm bracelet made from old buttons and pendants, thin rings evoking natural elements like branches, flowers, or insects, and topping her voluminous head of curls with a crown woven from wildflowers from the local woods and fields or a hat adorned with ribbons and dried flowers.

History: It was a joyous day when Theo brought Dahlia home to meet his parents, she was a sweet young woman who knew her way around a kitchen and didn’t hesitate to help with the washing up after dinner. The young couple’s relationship flourished with their mutual love using the earth’s bounty to enrich others’ lives and they were soon wed and Theo left his parents’ home to build a new cottage on the homestead for his new family. Their lives were made even richer the day they introduced a bouncing baby girl to the world and named her Lizabet Kaerina after her grandmothers. “Lizzie”, as her nickname became, grew strong and showed an affinity for the family’s animals and playing in the dirt while her parents tended to the fields. She was joined by three younger brothers over the course of the next five years: Karlile, Naten, and Derik. While she loved each of them dearly, she longed for a sister and wasn’t about to get one from her parents- they felt quite fulfilled by their family of 6. During this time her Aunt Kataerina started spending more and more time with a Lightning scientist working in Thelle and eventually he became known as Uncle Aerin to her. They stayed at her grandparents’ home and soon enough they had a baby girl, and oh how Lizzie danced around the house that day- running up excitedly to kiss the little hybrid on her pale yellow cheek and brush the soft green curls that matched her own from her forehead. Lizabet adored her young cousin and her heart was shattered when her Aunt and Uncle moved to Valmon. As much as it pained her to see them go, it was a bittersweet thing to suddenly have her cousin back when Aedeline became so ill that her Aunt and Uncle decided the country air would fare her better than the smog of the city. Lizzie has been close at Aedeline’s side ever since and during the past three years she’s shown her all of her favorite places in the local woods, taught her what she knows of painting the animals and plants around them, and spends us much time as possible with the fragile girl in their grandmother’s sitting room- learning to knit, crochet, and sew.

Is it Lizabet or Lizzabet? XD (You have it spelled the first way all through the quest but two z's in title.) =D

That aside, she seems like she has a good baseline down. What are some of her balancing characteristics? So far, everything you have sounds very positive - creative, conscientious, tenacious, bold, boisterous, beautiful, and clearly confident - but everyone has negative traits, too. What separates her out, what causes her problems, what is she most concerned about herself?

Hmmm, I maybe should have it organized differently. So her tenacious trait is definitely more negative in that it comes with being overbearing, argumentative, and forcing her will on others (essentially being exceedingly stubborn and bossy). Lizzie is prone to giving unsolicited advice, rubbing people the wrong way when she's trying to give positive feedback, and it only coming off as criticism.

She definitely has a tendency to be far too clingy- both with Aedeline and her younger brothers, following them around like a mother hen. Especially given her past record of pushing her cousin into an episode of painful fatigue, she is now torn between encouraging Aedeline's curious spirit and stifling it with a desire to protect her from harm. This has lead to her becoming more of a homebody; she knows she can trust her family's farm and the surrounding countryside, but anything further than that poses unknown risks and threats.

On a personal level she fears living up to her parents' expectations, being the oldest child she feels the need to be an example to her siblings, but even beyond that she knows that as the oldest grandchild she's expected to fulfill the family legacy and tend to the homestead after her father.

((Lol, fixed the name, her full name has only one z, but her nickname uses two.))

Hey Aly, everything looks pretty goood. Just a few small questions for you!

1. What sector are her parents in? Were they in the same sector to begin with? How did they meet?

2. How do Lizzie's parents (and Aunt and Uncle for that matter) feel about her spending so much time with Aedeline? <3

Hey Aly, everything looks pretty goood. Just a few small questions for you!

Oooo, good questions!

1. What sector are her parents in? Were they in the same sector to begin with? How did they meet?

Her parents are both part of the Sector of Agriculture, her father having specialized in farming as a natural pursuit from the family farm, and her mother specialized in cooking- even aspired to open her own bakery and delicatessen, but those dreams fell to the wayside once she fell in love and became pregnant with Lizzie. They were "Prentice sweet hearts" (lol), they knew each other growing up, but didn't start dating until Theo summoned the courage to ask her out to the harvest dance.

2. How do Lizzie's parents (and Aunt and Uncle for that matter) feel about her spending so much time with Aedeline? <3

Lizzie's parents are really down to earth people (wink-wink) who are just happy to put down roots and establish a closely knit family, so they love that she looks out for her cousin (and reprimand her harshly when she isn't the responsible role model she should be). With how upset Lizzie was when Aedeline moved away, they're happy to let the girls spend their time together, her mother being especially understanding in knowing that she'd otherwise only have brothers at home to play with.

As for her Aunt and Uncle (and this comes direct from Miss, she's sitting beside me atm), they are happy that Aedeline has a friend who loves her as she is. Her mother appreciates that she has an older guardian to look after her so that Aedeline can experience life without the supervision of her parents. That being said, there have been times when the teenager has made, less than well thought-out decisions that have jeopardized Aedeline's health so she is more mindful of setting guidelines/restrictions before the girls go on "adventures". As for Aedeline's father, he's usually away from home, but when he is present he treats Aedeline with kid gloves and worries incessantly about her health. So their outings are moved to "innings", they crochet, knit, paint, and all other manner of domestic, "safe" activities.
