Personality: Thanatos is a very honest man, he says whatever is on his mind without hesitation. People usually see him as cruel but only a few know the reason behind his honesty. Because of the way he acts Thanatos is viewed as a loner and a p***k.Sure he doesn't have many friends, but the ones he has are loyal to him as he is to them.

Thanatos wasn't always brutally honest, in fact, he was a cheery loving kid who disappointed a lot of people, and got let down to many times. There were three major events that shaped the man he is today. The first event happened when Thanatos was five. Thanatos was constantly being abused by his drug-addicted father, who was bitter about an injury that forced him into retirement, and it couldn't get any worse with the fact that his mother was dying of a fatal illness, she passed away a year later and his father's abuse and addiction only grew stronger, and he died two months later from an overdose. When Thanatos's mother died his loving and caring nature died with her, he no longer had anyone to love or anyone to love him back.
The Second event happened when he was twelve. After his father's death, Thanatos was adopted by a priest who knew Thanatos was a gifted individual and decided to train him in exorcism, to turn him into a warrior of peace. The priest treated Thanatos with love and compassion, but Thanatos no longer trusted adults and he was silent and mean to his adoptive father. The only person Thanatos would talk to was the priest's little boy. Thanatos loved the boy like his own blood brother and tried to protect him from everything during training, and always telling him that he would be the best. At the age of twelve, the monastery was attacked by demons, and the little boy died, to this day Thanatos blames himself for what happened.
The last and most important event was during his stay at the academy, he spent most of his years with no friends and no one to talk to he would occasionally talk to an annoying spoiled brat called Lucius, at first he hated Lucius, simply because no matter how cruel he was he wouldn't leave him alone. But as time passed the hate became dislike and Thanatos could tolerate Lucius being around him. after a few years, Thanatos got the news that Lucius lost his father so he decided to "disappear" from a while. You could only find him in class and that's if you're lucky. He knew what Lucius was going through having lost his brother and mother, and didn't want to say the wrong thing to him. One night during one of Thanatos' sneaks he found Lucius wondering around aimlessly, so he decided to silently follow him, Thanatos was genuinely interested in his 'friends' little adventure. Why was he out so late? He's looking for something, but what is it? A guard came up to Lucius but why is Lucius so calm when he shouldn't be up during this time. "My servants are waiting, they are hungry, you'll do~." That's all that Lucius said, before attacking the guard. Before Lucius could make contact Thanatos decided to jump in and stop the attack. Something about Lucius seemed different he wasn't the same boy he sparred with time and time again.
Lucius's aura sent shivers down Thanatos's spin, he instantly had visions of the day his brother died and caused him to panic, as soon as Thanatos came back to his senses Lucius attacked. Lucius was overpowering him by the second, all Thanatos could do was dodge and block, he couldn't think straight. When the foolish guard tried to stop the fight, thinking he was tough enough, Lucius destroyed him with one punch almost costing him his life. But his sacrifice wasn't in vain it caused an emotional chain reaction inside of Thanatos which allowed him to unlock his hidden power. Seeing the man on the verge of death made Lucius break into laughter. His laughter and lack of sympathy for human life angered Thanatos, to the point where his mind went blank and his body started moving on its own. he lunged at Lucius with a fist charged with holy energy and landed a strong blow to his chest, as soon as Thanatos made contact a small explosion came from between the chest and fist. neutralizing their auras and knocking both of them unconscious, It was the equal power of light and darkness.
The next morning Thanatos woke up only to find himself next to Lucius and the guard in the medical center. Thanatos didn't know how he was still alive the last thing he remembers was Lucius laughing and then everything went dark. Multiple years have passed and the two mastered their "Gifts", and became best friends, people couldn't understand how that happened, they were totally different yet the same.
After graduation Lucius came up to Thanatos and asked him to be his vice, and Thanatos gladly accepted, Lucius's personality was a lot like his brother, and that's what drove Thanatos to accept, besides there wouldn't be a Thanatos without Lucius and a Lucius without Thanatos.
Goal: To spend the rest of his life with his family
