Name: Kobe Colorist: Safaia Seer: --
Parents: -- x -- Siblings: Mates: --
Pride: Kusini'mwezi Rank: Poza-Msa (Head Healer)
RPs: Progress || Title
Notes:
Personality Contest Description Kobe was well into adulthood when brought to the Pridelands along with Destan's group, still attached to the sickly mother he'd followed and watched die shortly after their arrival. Despite all his learned expertise in the arts of healing, there was nothing Kobe could have done to prevent the death. Sometimes, he has learned, all a healer can do is prevent the suffering. And so Kobe buried his mother and did not mourn, and when--shortly thereafter--he was asked to stay and become the head healer, he accepted with no hesitation. Some in the pride undoubtedly view Kobe's calm, poised acceptance of both these things as an indicator of coldness. They aren't entirely wrong. Kobe realized early on that his detachment from strong emotional responses is often read that way, and perhaps that it's true. He prefers logic, Kobe does, and reason, and moving at a slow, calculated pace. "Everything with purpose," he says to the few who have dared ask, "Think your actions through before you take them, and you live without regrets." That isn't true, entirely. Occasionally Kobe wonders what life could be, were he like his hot, fast kin. He thinks it would be exhausting.
