The VitaAlizaliwa

What is this meta about?

For several months the Warchief has been missing, having left the Vita'Alizaliwa in the care of his mate the Farseer and his half-sister the High Warlord and taken some of their forces to seek out possible allies.

There has been nothing heard from him since then.

However recently, the rotting corpse of one of the scouts that had left with the Warchief has been found by the Farseer within the pride's territory. This has spurred the High Warlord into an all out search to find any trace of their leader.

So what's going to happen?

You like dice games? Well this is in of itself a dice game mixed with a clue finding mission.

During the ORP, your lions get to roll one 10 sided dice each (depending on how many characters you are playing per post, you can edit how many 10 sided die into the roll as needed.) - each time a lion rolls the number 8, 9 or 10; they will find a clue to the whereabouts of Warchief and the next roll will find the next clue etc.

Who can take part in this META - ORP?

Everyone. Well, everyone that wants something to do with the Vita.

Alongside the Vita'Alizaliwa - if you have a rogue lion or even a blank slate that you would like to join the pride, you can have them meet with the Vita'Alizaliwa and take part in the dice game.

Those that take part will have this automatically as their official JRP if they wish to join as they'd have proved themselves as useful and honorable lions.

Needless to say, the High Warlord was more than a little tense. A corpse, a corpse of one of their finest scouts that they hadn't seen in months along with that idiot brother of hers. It was enough for her to heavily consider the next course of action that they, as a pride, had to take for the sake of its wellfare...and for the sake of the Farseer.

It hadn't taken long for word to spread and soon Golka stalked her way to the opening of the canyon that lead out to the rest of the pride's territory, ears flattened against her skull and eyes staring forward pointedly with a steely resolve as she made sure that most of the Vita' were around.

And if not they'd have definitely heard the ear shattering roar that split from her throat.

"NOW LISTEN UP!!!"

"Most of you have already heard the news of the dead scout, rites for his death unfortunately will come after what we do today, we are done waiting to see if Warchief Hellscream is alive or not - today we find out for sure."

She eye'd briefly over those present.

"We are going to span the pridal territory to the furthest borders and find any trace of Hellscream and I want no slacking from any of you! We will find our WARCHIEF!"

Tzigana had been with this band of orcish lions for a little while now but she was unsure she'd ever fully be as strong and bold as the rest of the pride. She was happy in the pride lands though as the pride had been kind enough to offer her shelter and she was happy to help with any task they needed.

Right now what the pride needed was their warcheif so Tzi would do her very best to see if she couldn't find at least something to point them in the right direction.

She had decided to split off from the group a little bit to look in an area with a sparse amount of grass growing from the sands. The little lioness pawed at the sand below every so often looking for any sort of clue that may have been covered in red sand.

Nothing so far.

Tzi was not about to give up though. She'd keep on trying.

Separuh perked up as he entered the pride grounds. He had ventured there in order to find more about the place, to find out if this was the pride for him. But… perhaps he came at a bad time? He peered around the different lions gathered about, slinking near the edge of the large cluster. His eyes were drawn to the mouth of the canyon, along with almost all the other eyes of other lions. Someone was yelling, her voice carrying across the canyon.

Well… this was surprising. Certainly the wrong time to inquire about joining. He wondered if he should go. But… his feet didn’t move. Already, his mind was filtering through the information that was announced. The little information there was. He would have to ask around for more. He didn’t really know of the customs of the pride yet. It seemed Hellscream was an important figurehead, however. Separuh didn’t necessarily care but… it seemed like an exciting game. A bit of detective work.

The adolescent trained his features to hide the eagerness he felt, though his eyes flashed with a bright light of thrill. Time to start asking around for more details.

Adlais hadn't been so much preoccupied as she'd been... sleeping. But even asleep, the lioness woke at the sound of being close... too close to pridal territory, and she spat angrily at the fact that she hadn't picked up on it the night before.

The fact she could actually hear what the angry lioness was saying? She was well, WELL past where the border was sure to have been.
But, she also picked up on something important. A missing Warchief, was it?
She smirked, the idea forming in her head already. Surely helping out might get her a reward, or at least something to snack on.

Finding visual markers to remember where she needed to get back to, she ventured off after a few lions, hoping they'd pick up on a scent she could put to memory and wander off on her own.

Kipopo had never felt more alive than when he'd joined the Vita'Alizaliwa.

He'd been a scrawny adolescent when they'd taken him in, off on his naming quest from a pride he'd not had any thoughts about returning too since joining the ranks here.

He was committed to his role within the pride, and had been rewarded with the role of Scout.

He, like many others, had not initially been worried when the Warlord had gone off to seek allies. But it had been some time now. And he still wasn't back.

So a search party had been thrown together, and now they were out to find him.

What had happened to him?
Kipopo wondered as they trekked.

Pathetic.

Ahri'ok spat on the ground as he prowled between small groups of grunts after exiting the mouth of the canyon they called home. Some were swiped at for slacking, and some were snapped at for smiling too much. Like always, Ahri'ok was in a foul mood, but he had more than enough reason to be this time. With farseer shaken up by her discovery and now their High Warlord tense enough that he could feel it when he looked at her? There were grunts that were barely adults out here.

Eyes scanning each and every member of the pride were soon to fall upon those that....He'd never seen them before. While he wasn't entirely worried about the lioness trailing a few of the grunts and scouts, the scrawny whelp was something he'd take an interest in.

But he could worry about that later. For now...Hellscream needed finding.

A heart could only handle so much before it started breaking.

Of course she recognized the scout, after she mulled it over. His claws had barely been sharpened when he insisted on accompanying her beloved mate on his outing. It had taken all of her inner strength to not bust into Golka's den and cry her sorrows and worries when she realized who the poor scout really was. The Valley of Spirits had offered her no respite, either, as some of the young shamans were unnerved by the stench of death in the air and the whispers of what might have happened.

Now the hunt was finally on, and Ro'kuna trailed the search party with tired paws, a heavy heart, and a spirit that was not what it had been a few days prior. What she wouldn't give to see, to hear, to smell, to have some vague sign of her mate, of their warchief.

What she could not do now, she entrusted to Golka. Ahri'ok. Azrasha. The grunts, the peons, the scouts...Before she knew it, she had made her way to the frond of the party, past the strangers that had somehow found their way here, and up near Golka.

Tired, but not yet broken, she would search and hope.

Golka watched Ro'kuna beside her briefly as she overlooked the strangers, a stern and steely gaze as they made their way out into the lands - but nothing else as she looked back to her sister in law with a fleeting expression of comfort offered whilst leaning in to whisper to the tired lioness.

"We'll find him Ro', even if I had to tear up the very earth beneath our paws we'll find him."

Then her head rose again and she glanced to her generals and scout masters, they would keep an eye on the strangers, that she was assured of. For now they had work to do and she'd have no distractions when it came to this important search that they were finally taking part of.

Azrasha had been shaken when she heard the news, one of her scouts dead and found as a rotten husk in the territory - what'd happened to his scout master? What'd happened to the party itself? So many questions had rolled in her mind, but none of that mattered anymore.
Their mission was clear, their purpose today was to find answers to that question.

The look from the High Warlord was clear enough for her and it only took a brief nod of affirmation, she eye'd over the scrawny hybrid that'd also taken up search with them. Wondering how useful he'd be amidst he keen eyes taking in the detail of the environment around them.

emotion_bigvein With the start of the search underhand it doesn't take long for you to notice the distant smell of something on the wind;
You have discovered the scent of fresh lion blood coming from somewhere in the west.

Tzi was having absolutely no luck finding any sort of clue. She was trying her best but in all seriousness the lioness was not a detective and it seemed the area she'd favored was landing her no clues.

She frantically pawed at the red sand and again and again the same result of a big fat nothing came up. Plenty of little critters scattered as the lioness did this and some of them even got swepted aside. Bugs of all sorts and even a fat lizard was found but no clue.

It was time for her to move areas as this didn't seem to be where Hell Scream had been. Tzi decided to head back to the group and see if they had found anything.

If she had expected and easy outing Adlais was sorely mistaken. The instant the sharp tan of blood his her nose, she went on alert, stopping in her tracks in shock at the pure strength of it. And it was fresh.
She cursed under her breath, signalling loudly to anyone willing to look her way before she took off at a run, barely registering whether or not anyone bothered to follow.
Blood was no joke, and running could sometimes mean the difference between life and death for someone hurt.
Let this lion be alive, the last thing she needed was to be blamed for their death just by being an outsider.
She could only pray her efforts would be taken as a good sign.

Vilh was in a poor mood.

Had to be, as not even seeing Golka in this fine fettle could coax a smile to his face. No, the combination of this forced hunt, being reminded of his own failure to track down their Warchief, and the palpable sadness of Ro'kuna on top of it all? The scowl on his face was there to stay. And for good reason, as far as he was concerned. If he'd been successful in hunting Hellscream, maybe their scout would still be alive. Maybe they wouldn't have lost a good member. And just maybe they wouldn't now be trying to replace that fine set of eyes with a bunch of rogues and random upstarts.

Of course, some of them seemed to be helping. Cool blue eyes raked over the lot, settling - as he was sure most did - on the hybrid, slender and bluey-green and blatant as a hangnail. Bad enough he had to rub elbows with an unfamiliar crowd, missing Hellscream...being out and about like this... It felt vulnerable, that's what it was. Felt like their whole damn pride was laid open like a wound, waiting to picked. It chafed at him. Better to get to the bottom of this quickly, get their beloved High Warlord satisfied so they could head home.

To that end, he glanced up at the shout from an unfamiliar pelt. The lioness received a grunt in response as he shifted his weight, running to her side in wake of the scent of blood in the air. Yeah, the lion known as 'Skullcrack' was feeling a touch more ornery than usual. He had to be; tell folks that he was 'concerned' instead, and they'd think he was going soft.
