[PRP] Spotted (Spiros and Senka)(Fin)

Senka was out prowling in the afternoon hours, the rouge lands were still hot from the day but the sun would soon go down and the night would cool the lands. She had been thinking about a great deal recently and she had mostly made a choice. She just needed to follow through and wait to see what her fate would be. Till then Senka still had her life in the rouge lands, though it didn't seem as great without being near the male lions she had met recently Hara and Ty had made her feel welcome in their lands and she wanted to go back there soon.

She made her way to the watering hole to get a drink, she watched and listened around her, her ears twitching and her tail moving back and forth as she moved along her way through the monkey grass and towards the water. She was mindful of creatures in and around the watering hole. Not being careful would be foolish and would lead to her death before she even had the chance to see what life was like in a pride. The cubs she wished to have, perhaps with Hara. Only time would tell.

Sorry for wait!

It was early afternoon. His brother would continue to sleep for quite some time. Spiros prowled around scoping out the area. He protected his brother's sleeping space during the day. It wasn't nearly as fun as at night or in the fog. The monochrome male had made several laps and found nothing. It was quiet. With nothing in sight, Spiros decided to stop and get himself a drink. The afternoon sun was punishing on the darker parts of his pelt.

As he approached he saw he wasn't the only one to stop at a watering hole. He stopped to admire her dark pelt. She'd blend in perfectly with the night. Spiros noted the cautious way she moved. Something had spooked her, or she was simply being wise. He scented the breeze and noted nothing out of the ordinary. The male shrugged and headed down to drink, not bothering to try and hide his presence.

Senka looked over her should at the male who had arrive at the watering hole she didn't like that one bit, she didn't like males for the most part, since one was bold. Just coming at her without saying anything. She narrowed her eyes at the stranger and moved away from the watering hole. She decided to move into the shadows and watch the strangers movements for a bit before she decided if she wanted to talk to them or get out of there before she had to be social again. She had her fill of being social this week she was starting to wonder if she was in heat or something with the number of males she had run into lately.

Her scent could be bring them to her or maybe she was just being crazy and paranoid, then again she had been thinking about cubs a lot lately so it was hard to decide which the case maybe. Senka was not you bright cheery lioness she didn't like strangers to begin with. Living as a rouge had made her distrustful of others. So she was always careful of her movements and who she decided to deal with. Well except for her stupid mistakes of the week, all male related.

Spiros politely ignored the female as he made his way toward the water for his drink. He actually hadn't approached too near her, but he smiled to himself when she still moved away. Her move into the shadows though did confirm his suspicion. She faded into them fairly well. An ear bent in her direction, Spiros crouched down to lap the water. Since the only other large life he'd seen was the lioness at the watering hole, he felt his brother would be safe enough for awhile and he could rest a bit.

After a long drink he sat back up and moved back from the edge slightly. The monochrome male gently began to clean his face of the dust of travel. It was nice to rest his paws on the water cooled earth after his hot walk. He was grateful for his white patches, he didn't know how the darker lions like his brother or this lioness managed in this heat. Oh right, his brother only moved at night. He snorted with amusement at himself.

The lion only kept mild tabs on the lioness so she couldn't sneak up on him, but otherwise ignored her. If she didn't want to be friendly, he certainly wasn't going to make polite conversation. After his rest he intended to head back out and leave the hole to her if she wanted.

Senka watched the lions movement from the shadows, she hadn't decided to leave yet, nor had she decided to be friendly and say hello. She was holding judgment, it was good he hadn't attacked her or made any annoying movements. That would have been annoying. She wouldn't have hesitated to fight him though. Just because it was a male lion didn't mean that Senka had to roll over and let him boss her around. She would never let a male boss her around.

Senka didn't try to sneak up on the male, she did like that his ears moved like he knew her position and wasn't a foolish male. Senka didn't like foolish males, well except for one who was adorable. Pity he had been afraid of her.

It was quite peaceful here. Despite the semi-hostile gaze from the female. There wasn't many animals coming to the hole at this time. It could very well have been because they were sitting here and the animals didn't want to risk becoming lunch. Spiros yawned and stretched. He even went down to a second long drink.

After a time he was ready to move on. He was well rested and it didn't appear to him that the female had any interest in being sociable. That was her choice. Not that he'd made any friendly overtures either. Spiros frowned to himself. Should he have at least said hello? Was that why she was so standoffish? Oh well. Too late now. He was ready to move on. It was time to get back on patrol. He rose to his feet and began to silently walk away. Leaving the female to go about her business as she will.

Senka considered letting the male go without ever actually saying hello, but he had not harmed her, so she followed him for a time staying in the shadows and watching as he went back to his job patrolling. She was curious what he was doing in this area had he claimed this part of the rouge lands as his territory? Was he friendly they hadn't exchanged words yets so she wasn't sure what it would be like to talk to him?

Spiros padded along quietly. There wasn't much worth hiding from or attempting to be stealthy for. He watched a couple of small birds flutter about before returning to check for signs of bigger animals. It wasn't long before he noticed a shadow following him. At first he pretended not to notice so he could watch it for a bit. It was the female he'd seen at the watering hole. She just appeared to be following him.

He couldn't directly check on his sleeping brother with her following him, so for a time he strolled the perimeter. The male waited, but she did nothing but follow him. Finally he stopped and turned directly toward her, tilting his head. "Yes?" He rumbled softly. Surely she wanted something or she wouldn't have followed him.

This male was clever and always seemed aware of her movements even when she was trying to be sneaky. "Nothing much, I was just curious about you. I am Senka." She said in a soft tone. She would likely slip away into the night soon.

Spiros regarded the female and her question for a moment. He didn't want to give too much away, yet this lioness didn't seem intent on harm. "I'm just passing through. I'm not anyone special." He gave a shrug, not wanting to reveal his sleeping brother's hiding place. At least he didn't think he was anyone special. "Hello Senka. I'm Spiros."

Senka nodded and then made her way back out into the night, perhaps they would meet again someday.
