Larak and his mate Sorra Suau have had a litter of cubs in the Nergui! This RP is for all of the family members that care to meet them, whether it be Larak's adolescent cubs with Usikuzuri (who would have come to the Nergui by that time) or any of Larak's extended family. Naturally, this is for the litter in question too! heart

When Larak had first heard the news that his mate was going to have cubs, he was overwhelmed with joy. They would surely be the most beautiful and terrifying forces that his pride had ever seen. Since then, between bringing his adolescent litter from the Pridelands to the Nergui where they would be raised and dealing with the pregnancy, Larak had been rather on-edge as of late. At long last, his cubs were here and he had been there for the whole of it, refusing to leave his mate's side during the worst of it and claiming her to have the heart of a warrior through it all.
They had watched over the cubs until their eyes and ears were open and they were ready to explore. That said, Larak wanted to make sure they didn't go near the croc-infested waters or slip into any sandy sinkholes, so he had invited his sisters and brothers and naturally his parents, to come meet his cubs instead. It would give him a chance to catch up with his blood-kin and also show off his offspring, something he was very eager to do.
So, while they waited to see if anyone would arrive, he lay next to his mate, watching his cubs tussle with one another, ready to step in if any blood was drawn.Makhel, as usual, was found close to his mother. Pressed up against her side in fact, as he watched his sisters with some alarm. Further away, he could see his older siblings, the ones that had come from far away. One, Droka, was watching his sisters play. Khagra was trying to engage with her sister, Kora. Frightened, he turned his muzzle into his mother's flank and let out a mewl of distress.
"Mama," He whimpered, but didn't voice a complaint. He just wanted to be comforted from the fighting of his siblings nearby. "Mamaaaa."Khagra was a dainty looking thing, by all accounts. Her different colored eyes caught the attention of many and she liked to bat them prettily at those she met, before jumping at them with her tiny claws out. This was very similar to what she had been doing to her sister, Kora, though she had just leaped at her sister, no eye batting required. "You'll never be a powerful Braak if you don't fight back!" She taunted, batting her plain sister (for everyone was plain by comparison to her, she thought.) "Fight back! Or you'll be sorry!" She said, bapping Kora's ears without mercy.Droka had been retrieved with Aza and Broxigar, her other two sisters choosing to stay to be huntresses with their mother. She didn't mind, having known she would make this choice since she was a cub. She had began her training as a Shuko the moment she had arrived in the Nergui, with the help of Kimya, a friend of the family's. She thought of her mother, Usikuzuri and her sisters, from time to time, but she was growing to accept Sorra as her mother, or at least, her new mother figure, even if the lioness may still be getting used to her and her siblings presences.
At that moment, she was watching her half-siblings with some interest. She was certain that Khagra would endear herself to Aza immediately. She remembered when Aza would act in such a way to Droka when they were cubs. She noted the only male of the litter hiding next to his mother and sniffed once, but said nothing. She was a silent sort, but if she was prompted, she may speak, if only then. She took her job, though it was not yet hers until she completed her training, very seriously.

Her brother had been making a nuisance of himself it seemed, striking out among the rogues rather than selecting a local lioness with which to spend his time with. She could have been blunt, indicated that he was simply too weak to gain the eye of a real lioness, but she had to concede that the offspring he had brought back with him were worthy of at least a nod of congratulations.
...Larak might have lain with other lionesses because he couldn't persuade a true Nergui to do so, but he had at the very least stuck with tradition and gone for the second best thing. His children were in possession on some rather ornate markings, and as a consequence it would give them an advantage as they matured. After all, a Nergui female would often pursue those with rarer markings - combine that with the fact that these children would hopefully select worthy candidates for mates in the future and they might very well gain the respect those markings deserved.
Thus, Larak had given the first set of cubs a head start in some respects and Vir could congratulate him for that. On the other side of the coin, he also deserved some congratulations for finally settling down as well, though she wasn't quite sure how to take his mate at the moment. She scarcely knew her, but she supposed this was the entire point of this introduction was it not...?
It would be an opportunity for Vir to judge the children and the lioness Larak had chosen as his own!
[Apologies at the moment, she's still quite under developed but I thought I would pop her in for you just so that they know her face.]

When Larak saw his sister, Vir, he got to his paws and approached to meet her. He had not seen her for quite some time, but that could be said for all of his siblings. His mother had met Sorra before and seemed to approve of her, but what would his sisters think?
"Vir," He said with a nod. "Have you been well?" For the time being, he stood between her and his cubs, though he heard tiny paws coming to approach and glanced down when his son, Makhel, bumped into his back ankle.
Moving slightly so that the cub, who usually just stayed at his mother's side, could look at his aunt, he introduced them. "Vir, this is my son, Makhel." A sweep of his tail indicated the rest of the litter and the few adolescents of his that lingered nearby. A gesture that was meant to say they were all his. "Makhel, this is my sister and your aunt, Vir." He turned his gaze to meet his sister's once more. "Come to meet everyone? Or just to gaze on in silence?" He inquired.Makhel had heard larger paw steps and so had turned his head from is mother's soft fur to see the darker lioness approach. He had never seen her before and so approached, curious. He gazed up at her and then looked back at his sister, Gamira. Gamira was darker, sure, and she had a blue tail instead of an orange one, but...
"You look like Gamira." He observed to his aunt. "You have the same eyes." And then he fell silent, suddenly shy in the face of a stranger, though he was curious to know her.Epine de Rose No worries, I'm happy to have her here, meeting the family! heart

Kora isn't a big fan of fighting her family. She is always worried that she would use too much strength and end up hurting her siblings. However, Kora knew that she would have to start doing something in order to get Khagra off of her. "You know I don't like fighting you guys Khagra!." Kora exclaimed, as she shoved Khagra away from her. Kora gets back up and stares directly at her aggressive sister. "Why do you enjoy fighting me? I don't want to hurt you, nor anyone in our family. Why should I fight back, or worry about not being strong enough, when I won't be fighting you for my life when I am a Braak?"Kora then lowered her body, and ran full speed at Khagra, but just before coming in contact her sister, she stops, and baps Khagra on the nose, then procedes to run around. "Strength itself doesn't matter if you can't hit your target." Kora may be unsure of her ability to control her strength, but she didn't need to worry when it came to speed. Kora was fairly confident in how fast she could move around. She kept running around her sister, occasionally bapping her from behind, then going around swiftly to the other side of Khagra and bapping her again. Tauntingly Kora shouted "Come on Khagra, you won't be a good Braak if you're unable to hit anything!"

Khagra let out a hiss at her sister and whipped around, trying to catch Kora and missing when the other was too fast. "I fight with you guys to practice!" She spat at Kora. "If you don't practice, you'll never be a Braak!" She looked around, trying to appear as fierce as how she started, but anxiety was starting to show in her eyes as Kora spun around her. "I'm just trying to help you, Kora! There's no need to be such a bully about it!" Her ears flattened against her head and she looked around to her other siblings. Makhel wouldn't be any help, he never was, but maybe one of her parents? No, they were busy too.
Unsheathing her tiny claws, she was getting ready to launch herself forward at her sister, unsure if she could actually hit her, when suddenly a tan slender tail lowered itself into the field of Khagra's vision. It lay before her, in the path that Kora was running and Khagra scooted backwards. If her sister fell, she didn't want to be knocked over when she did.Droka observed her two quarreling half-sisters with some amusement. How closely they resembled herself and Aza. She looked at the cub, Kora, who had reminded her of herself the most. Whenever Droka lost her temper there were always dire consequences, despite usually her being a calm feline. She could see that her actions were already scaring Khagra, despite the little one's attempts to remain brave, like she had seen in Aza frequently.
Seeing that no one else was going to intervene, whether it was on account of being too busy with others or simply not minding the squabble, she decided to step in. Getting to her paws, she moved to stand close to Khagra, before placing her tail in the path that the young Kora was speeding towards. Sure, her tail was going to hurt after this, but if she was going to still the cubs and speak to them about the differences between fighting and practicing, she needed to get their attention first.
