Alonya still felt awful about running past the borders when she knew she needed an escort. She still debated what she would do if she just left again, without permission. She remembered her fathers soft words of concern, and thats what made her feel the worst.
She'd stayed close to one of her siblings or her father for nearly a week when she was straying back towards the borders once again. She had a feeling there was something out there. Something just for her, but she couldn't quite tell what.
It took her three more days of wandering closer and closer to the border before she pressed herself against her father's side and begged him to take her into the roguelands. He gave her a sweet smile and pressed their foreheads together before agreeing. She pulled them to the familiar tree and watering hole halfway between the place her father's mate lived.
She remembered coming here as a cub, and recently found a cheetah named Are there, with her companion Ilwe. She left her father by the lake to make his way to his mate on his own, and she was left to explore until the next morning.
An excited smile made its way across her face, and she was off!

Wanderlust had struck the green lion much like it always did. Fancying himself a stint in the roguelands once more. He packed up his things and left his second home, the Nchi, following a sour visit with a single daughter. Perhaps that was what had drove him to leave, though it was certainly on par with the conversation they had had. His single golden eye closed and he exhaled smoothly as he left the borders of the pride in the early morning.
His goods were bound to him oonce again and he rattled his way back onto that horizon that seemed to spit him out in the first place. Onto 'greener pastures' so to speak. He wasn't travelling long, perhaps a day or two before he came upon water, water that was enough for him to stay in one spot and enjoy a dip, a drink and stash his goods while he hunted.
When he had drank and eaten to his hearts content he chose to collect his articles and find a small area, set away from the body of water, to sleep and relax.

It took Alonya a little while before she found herself relaxing out of her pride's lands. Her father made her promise to not stray far as he went for a visit with his mate. The new found freedom was daunting, and she wasn't sure if she could handle this constantly.
She didn't know what she expected to see out in the roguelands, honestly. This watering hole was a familiar place from her youth and there was always someone new there, rarely someone old. It was large enough to sate thirst but small enough not to really form a pride around it.
Today she could only see a few scattering species taking their fill along the opposite edge. The closest was a lion she had never seen before - not surprising, but she found herself drawn towards him.

Ali`dido had finally settled in a small area. The water wasn't nearly large enough to host additional lions, so at most he witnessed some prey animals wandering around the edge - obvious nervousness at his presence caused them to appear wary. He wore a small smile at the powerful feeling it brought, but that feeling disappeared in favor of a new one - curiosity.
A lanky creature, cheetah, as everyone knew them had begun to make her way towards him. His single golden eye followed her form with mild interest. "Hello there." His tone began low, but opened to a much more musical sound. "Thirsty?" He offered a esture towards the large pool of water before him. He took a mental count of the items he had surrounding him. A couple of baskets now, a satchel, his larger drum, and replica smaller version surrounding his neck. Then there was the one item he would never forget, nor the lioness that had caused its need, his eye patch.
"Or would you care to join me?"

Alonya hung back a bit, shy around the new male. In her pride, he'd be a slave just like her, but... out here it was different. She knew that, her father had told her so. He didn't look like a slave, though.
Not like anything she'd seen before at least. But! He seemed nice, at least. He didn't lung at her or attack her, and he spoke first. It took her a moment to realize she was staring at him kind of dumbly without answering. She flinched back but gave the lion a shy smile.
"If it's alright, I'd like to join you," She told him. She stumbled over a few of the words like a newly born gazelle, but she managed! That's that counted, right?
