|| This is an all out battle being fought at the border between Sauti and Zena. At the beginning of the game you must pick a side: Sauti or Zena. || You MUST sign up before playing in this thread. Just use the form at the bottom before you start rolling! (If using more than one character, make sure to use multiple forms) || Sign ups will not close, so you may jump in mid-game. || Once the fight starts, you must roll 2-D20. The first one is your aim, the second is your hit. Both must be above 15 to hit the opposite side. || If one of your rolls is good, but the other isn't high enough, it's +1 point for your team. || If you successfully hit the other side with both rolls, it's also -1 point for the opponent's team. || You may attempt ten snowballs a day for the duration of the event. || You may throw all snowballs in 1 post or in separate posts (just remember you must roll 2D20 for each snowball!). || If the teams' snowball count is uneven, a stabilizer will be added at the end so it's not unfair. || Anyone may participate. You may use a pre-existing character, make up a new character, or simply play as yourself. || RPing is not required to play, but those who RP with existing characters during the event will be evaluated for gaining up to 1 meta point per day played! || The side with the most points at the end will receive an item reward. || The player from each side who scored the most successful shots will win a special familiar!

With the rivalry underway Huyana had to join in. There was no way he was going to miss out on snowball fight. And of course he had to represent his homeland. Quickly leaning down he scooped up some snow and molded it between both hands into a somewhat lumpy ball. Once that was done he stood tall and moved his throwing arm back. "For Zena!!!" He cried out as he let the ball loose. It was a moment of pride for him that was shortly lived as he'd not taken aim and his snowball became a curve ball. Huy visibly cringed and looked around to see if anyone had noticed.

Riya (8 - 10) 0 Zena
Somehow she'd gotten roped into this thing. So Iriyana had a sour look on her face and when she saw her dad get all into the snowball fight she rolled her eyes. Wasn't he supposed to be the parent? However, when she noticed his fail she gave a hint of a smirk. Clearly that was amusing to her. Since she was there Riya huffed a sigh and picked up some snow. Barely shaping it she tossed it toward the "enemy" side. While she had aimed better than her father she hadn't put much oomph behind the throw. So it hit no one.
Participating in the snowball fight was something she had looked forward to and once it was under way she started to collect all the snow she could to make her ammo. As a snowball went past her she lobbed one right back, unfortunately her bad eye sight was taking it's toll even now and she missed. However, that didn't stop her from creating more snowballs!

Dem was in Zena visiting a friend when the snowball fight started. So she figured "why not?" Although the alk was not a fan of the freezing temperatures she had a son that had family in the area and a friend of her own who lived there as well so it made sense to her that she fought on their side. Of course she'd never done such a thing before so when she threw her ball of snow she was worried about actually hitting someone and opted for hitting the ground beside them instead. Sure that was a better way to do things?
There were better things to be done, surely, rather than crouching behind a wall of snow and peering warily out as though something horrible lurked in the distance. Akiyal could be spending his time sorting out the intricacies of where he ought to go and what he ought to do with himself now that he'd properly disengaged entirely from beneath his father's expectations. He was grown now, a man, and if Xilarn wasn't going to be at home for however long, why ought Aki be?
The stuff out there beyond Sauti's borders was worth exploring and surely were experiences worth having. Even his father thought so, since the Oban man wasn't actually in Sauti, anymore, himself.
Besides, Akiyal had Callum with him, and Callum was surely the variety of 'adult' Xilarn would take least issue with. At least, that had been his initial thought. The fact that his assumptions weren't actually true somehow felt like a boon. Good that Xilarn took as much issue with Aki's current traveling companion as Akiyal took with Xil's. Even if he didn't understand the reasons for his father's spite, that it was there at all was rewarding enough.
Akiyal grinned as he peeked up over the ridge of his hideaway and squinted in the direction that he knew the enemy lay. He'd constructed himself a worthy fortress, stocked it with a suitable pile of ammunition, and now all that was left was to pick a target.
Admittedly, the game wasn't the most suited to his strengths. With his poor vision (that his aunt had helpfully pointed out was the most useless excuse for sight she'd ever heard of, if Aki's discriptions of visible items were to be taken as the truth for what he saw), hitting- or even seeing anything from this distance wasn't the simplest of tasks. But it was a game, and he'd come to play.
It was a welcome distraction from thoughts of the future, and even Callum must have agreed. he'd come to play as well...
The cool weather was a welcome respite from the heat of the Oban desert and Matori coastline, and Aylin was glad of the local good cheer. She hastily scooped up some snow, and had a fantastically square shot on her first hit- must have been beginner's luck though, because none of her other snowballs met their mark in this volley!

Sylvirah broadened her stance and looked out over the hoary battleground. The players may have all come from different backgrounds and regions, but the objective was clear; pummel those stinkin' southerners with enough snow to bury 'em!
Grinning from ear to ear, Sylvirah rolled up as many snowballs as she could, and prepared for war. Seemed kind of stupid, to be playing around in the snow like this, but she'd been told there was food after; right? She specifically reminded someone saying SOMETHING about a warm meal....
Ah well, someone was gonna feed her.
The teen chucked first one snowball, then the next and the next, falling short every time, but enthusiastically trying never the less.

For once in his life Callum had chosen today to wear boots thick enough for snow, and look at how well they were paying off! He was able to stand the frigid bite of the powdery landscape with scarcely a wince, and honestly, even if he'd been chattering down to his bones, he would have still come out for this. How often did so many come together just to have fun these days?
Not enough, in his opinion. "Try not to get decked, Akiyal!" Callum dug his fingers through the snow, and tried to form a halfway decent snowball. The end result was...anything but and it fell apart halfway through the throw. He was trying, though, so that had to count for something.
