Serfie had very much begrudged living among the other Candidates in the Barracks and rebelled as much as she could, spending every spare moment not required, away from everyone, often spending time with A'iel and Nasath, or often, just Nasath, or sometimes just alone in his Weyr, ever since he'd discovered her living in the Weyr, she tended to spend more time there, than in the drudges quarters, feeling safer with Nasath. However since the Touching and it's ... dramatics, Serfie had nightmares almost every night, so it felt better to be near someone, some DRAGON she actually trusted. If it hadn't been for the two flits currently curled in her lap as she sat on Nasath's ledge, looking out into the forest, she wouldn't have stayed even then but she had promised A'iel, and Nasath, she would stay until the hatching, after that... who knew...
She was so absorbed in her inner thoughts that she didn't immediately notice the three Candidates entering the room, shutting the door, and escape, behind them, until it was really too late to flee, plus, why should she? she was known to them now, she had no reason to hide, but she was extremely on edge, were they here to taunt, to pull some nasty trick on the little homeless girl, well if that was their game, she'd show them a thing or two. "What do you three want?" she asked, getting up, causing her flits to hiss and resettle on her shoulders, before crossing her arms across her skinny (but filling out) chest and glaring at them.

This, whatever this was, was absolutely and in every way beneath him. However, Shahera rarely made requests of him, and Cesare found himself curious as to the motivation behind her plea. She knew very well that she'd be owing him a favor, and he always collected, in the end. The young woman had also failed to explain what they were carrying boxes around for. It became rather evident, however, when their target had been acquired. ... So, Shahera intended for Cesare and Dolmar to help her do the impossible? He quirked a brow.
"A question that we all have, Shahera. What are we here for?" It couldn't hurt to put himself on equal footing with the girl. In other words, in the dark, which was precisely where he'd been until he'd made the connection.

If Dolmar had been almost any other candidate, he would have wondered just what Shahera had gotten herself into that required his and Cesare's aid in carting so many packages to the weyr of a rider—and a bronze rider at that. But he had his guesses. The weyr belonged to Nasath, and that meant A'iel, a wingsecond, and the one in charge of that...little waif of a girl who'd apparently snuck in among the candidates proper to try her luck touching eggs. The fact that she'd not been the one nearly bitten surprised him somewhat, but there you were. He knew enough of Shahera's scheming nature to have no reason to think that Serfie would be ready to receive them...Ah, no, exactly as expected.
The girl looked ready to tuck and run if given a moment's opening.
She also looked to be about twelve turns old, though he supposed being underfed and raised by, what had it been? Wild whers, or something? Well, that would do that to a growing young girl.
"Cesare, I do believe she means for us to do what we can to help...ease...this young lady's transition from wild life to weyr life." Compassion was not his strong suit, but the good news was that his default expression was already one that seemed bored, smug, and slightly scathing. That he felt those things too in that moment wouldn't provoke much shift. The girl'd already been scrubbed up a good bit...but there were clear areas for improvement. "I could say I feel flattered that you would find our skills so elevated as to match even this task...but I do wonder that you felt that you alone weren't up to the challenge." He set the stack of packages down on a nearby table, thankfully clear of any paperwork of A'iel's. They might be here for a non-business reason, but he'd have no part in mussing a wingsecond's home.

Shahera went and put her basket down on a chair, blithely ignoring Dolly’s jab at her competence. Really, he was there because she knew it would irk him, Cesare too though she actually had a hope of his success in this endeavor, and to get Serfie used to snarky snobs. She would encounter a lot of them in her new life.
“Don’t mind them Serfie, they are just not used to actually having to do heavy lifting. Unfortunate parentage you see.” She shook her head in mock sadness. “Now, first off, welcome to Western. We should have given you a proper greeting but, alas, things have been a bit hectic recently.” She was facing Serfie but carefully positioned just to the right of standing between Serfie and the door. Close enough that Shahera would be able to stop Serfie if she tried to flee, but also not clearly closing her in.
“As Dolly so wonderfully,” (could you taste the sarcasm in that word?,) “put it, we are here to help.” And she paused, waiting for the protestations to begin.

Serfie frowned at Cesare, so he didn't know? what was this girl Shahera up to? she kept her arms crossed but didn't move, didn't go to flee, she wasn't going to show any weakness in front of these three if they had motive that weren't exactly honest. She was expecting a prank or teasing.
And there was Dolmar, another stuck up wherry turd that she didn't like from the start thought she took pride in his momentary confusion, here she was in a Bronzes Weyr, INVITED no less, however it seemed it wass an extremely fleeting emotion, because he opened his mouth. She sneered at him, she'd show HIM .. she could be... civilised, even Civil if she had to.
Ah there was Shahera again "yeah well guess some people just don't know what true hard work really is, Candidate chores are a breeze" she chuckled, knowing she'd had a much easier time at the more physical or demeaning tasks set them, she'd showed some of them up big time, hence her initial thought of them coming to prank her. "if i'd wanted a proper greetin' i wouldn't have come in the way i did" she said sharply, but appreciating the girl's effort to be nice. She tried not to snortlaugh at 'Dolly' but failed, especially with the sarcasm Shahera put behind it "Dolly?" she snerked.
