"No, really, get out of the way." she said to Hijil, noting a trickle of blood flowing from her gauntlets, "You sure you know what you're doing here?" She grinned.
Maybe it was a little condescending, but it was hard to take someone seriously when they were so small... Kaa knew she probably shouldn't be underestimating the lady, with those scars and all, but damn if she wasn't adorable. "Maybe you should stand aside, hun, how about it?"

At a safe distance, Biroki began casting a fire spell. His intent was to fling a whole lot of flame at the two Alkidikes, that generally worked, but - he realized too late - he'd overcharged the leylines in the training grove. They'd been charged before, from many practice sessions, and now...
And now...
He held up his arms to protect himself against the backfire blast, grimacing sheepishly. He had to be more careful.

Well, that had worked! Votzhem decided to try again, summoning more air to strike the sorcerer at a distance. He wasn't sure how many more he could do - already, something inside was aching, rubbed raw by the use of magic.
But if it worked, it worked...
The wind he summoned was a powerful blast, and would probably have been a lot for the sorcerer to handle... if Votzhem hadn't flung it off course. It was very hard to aim that magic.
Still, he was impressed at the dent it made in a tree. Not bad.

... This was just getting weird now. Kaalnia managed to mostly dodge the Shifter lady's punch, feeling it reverberate unpleasantly in her shoulder. Ouch.

The battlefield felt odd - odd in a way that made her stomach flip and her body tingle. Unpleasant. was how she would describe it.
As the alkidike... fell? She decided to try to hit the magic using Alkidike, leaving herself, briefly, open to attack...

This had NOT happened before, this haywire magical stuff. Earth, air, fire... all they needed was lightning and ice and water and they would have a full elemental storm on their hands.
Speaking of which, his delayed bursts would be detonating soon. Despite the odd occurances, he decided to let it go its course and sent a blast of spine-tingling lightning at the two alkidike foes!
