Dorm Room 211
Grade: Second Year
Occupation: Student
Classes: Georgraphy, Literature, Foreign Language, Possibly Assassination
Abilities/Skills: Sleight of Hand: Regarded as his single-most greatest talent in his arsenal, most, if not all of his skills and talents are connected with his talent for manual dexterity and gambits when typically in performing tricks up close. On its own, sleight of hand can be described as fine motor skills that are used when used in different art forms to entertain or manipulate certain objects with his hands. Associated with the use of close-up magic, card cheating, card flourishing and stealing, doing what he can from allowing his audience from catching on to the secret behind of his tricks by using deception to redirect their focus elsewhere. Most commonly described as the latent talent of using one's dexterity or cunning so as to deceive others, Soryen shows the greatest ability to lie to others through his actions rather than with words, which in normal instances would be his forte. The phrase sleight of hand means "quick fingers" or "trickster fingers" — the way he manages moving his hands around to there they need to be is done in a careful manner, gently moving around his fingers without disturbing or moving the surrounding objects, ensuring they get the job done as quickly and efficiently as possible without anyone noticing it happening. Famously compared rhetoric techniques and illusionist techniques, the aim he has when using this aspect of his abilities is to set perform magic close-up in front of others, giving them a first-hand look at his tricks without giving up the secret behind them, thus eliminating the of Soryen using a fake audience members and the use of gimmicks to achieve his feats.

Misdirection: A form of deception in which the attention of an audience is focused on one thing in order to distract its attention from another, Soryen does so by managing the using the theatrical version of magic to throw off the focus of others from what he is doing to somewhere else. For any good magician, misdirection is the central secret of all magic, in which they use all in their power to transfer the victim's focus on an unimportant object or his sleight of hand, commonly using his silver tongue to create it, purposefully aimed with the intention of misleading the spectator's senses. Nearly the whole art of sleight of hand depends on this art of misdirection in order to make the majority of his moves work in combat, with the entire central act of conjuring such a complex art being the manipulation of interest. In terms of application, there are two basic ways that Soryen "misdirects" his entire audience during his so called "acts" whilst confronting others. For the most part, the first method is for Soryen to encourage his audience to look away for a fleeting moment, so that the sleight or move he is performing can be accomplished undetected, away from prying eyes. His other approach has much to do with re-framing the audience's perception, where the minds of the audience members are distracted into thinking that an extraneous factor has much to do with the accomplishment of the feat, whereas in reality it has no bearing on the effect at all. The point behind him doing this to exhibit the action of influencing the mind of his spectators before him, with the very nature of secrecy and confidentiality being the very foundation in which he creates his arsenal of magic tricks. As the cornerstone of nearly all his magic, taking advantage of the limits of the human mind in order to give the wrong picture and memory, thus causing most audience members to only concentrate on one thing at a time. Soryen uses this to manipulate the audience's ideas, or, perceptions of sensory input, leading them to draw false conclusions.

Boost: An ability where Soryen amasses a kinetic propulsive force at some point on their body before releasing these propulsive energies in order to induce high-speed movement via jet-propulsion while additionally augmenting the power of their attacks via momentum. With this, Soryen is able to jet-propel themselves either on land or in the sky at astounding speeds in any direction that he desires, easily matching most aircrafts; the speeds that Soryen darts about at are a normal flight speed of 80 mph; by going further, he can accelerate up to supersonic speeds capable of catching up with faster beings. Once Soryen reaches their target, he is capable of assaulting the opponent with a powerful kinetic energy-enhanced attack, The speed Soryen gains doesn't end when the use of the ability ends, as it keeps the ability's velocity a second after the move ends, making Soryen move even further if the ability ends in the air. When utilizing Comet Force as a propulsion method, the caster possesses the ability to change direction in mid flight, though he has an inability to land before the kinetic propulsive energies centered around the point of release completely dissipate, which can make the move especially difficult to aim as the sheer speed is difficult to control. It should be noted however that whenever Soryen starts this ability up, whatever is around Soryen tends to be blown away or at least pushed back by the kinetic propulsive force, much like a rocket about to take off. Luckily Soryen's body adapts to whatever speed he may go, preventing any damage from going too fast, but their bodies do not harden thus caution must be used when using this ability in a confined space or near any obstacles. Soryen is also able to transfer this Kinetic Propulsive Force into something he makes contact with, causing the contacted object to fly away from Soryen, the speed at which they travel depending on how much KPF Soryen transfers into them.
Weaknesses:
Soryen must be careful of which direction they launch in otherwise he could very well smash into a obstacle, thus causing damage.
Using too much KPF on a single release point will cause it to become temporarily paralyzed.

Consecutive Action: A power one can describe as "the ability to turn one into many." Specifically, Soryen can take any one action it makes into multitudes of them with no extra input needed on Soryen's part. A single punch can become ten, a headbutt can become twenty, a single bite can become thirty, etc. Using Consecutive Action often gives off the appearance that Soryen movements produces after images, matching the amount of “duplicates” he is about to use. Upon striking a target with multiple duplicates, it releases a series of consecutive delayed impacts and shock waves. Soryen compares this to a nail where the more consecutive strikes that land, the more destruction is caused to the target as the damage is spread inward. Each duplicate seems to carry the power of its original meaning the stronger the initial action, the stronger the rest will be; but this goes both ways, if Soryen releases twenty strikes with a rather weak swing, the strikes will be lacking in strength and vice versa. Thankfully, he can also limit the amount of 'duplicates', conserving his power. Soryen is even capable of increasing the potency of a single action by stockpiling the Duplicates into it rather than releasing them as multiple actions. A punch can carry the power of ten at once, a single jump can carry the power of twenty, etc.
Weaknesses:
- Can only be used at a close range
- Can great up to 5 duplicates

Body Blade: Through this ability, any part of Soryen’s body can be as or more sharp and durable than a sword without changing his body; this is often represented by Soryen's body or a chosen body part being outlined by a red aura. One of the more notable advantages of this ability to increase the shear cutting power his physical attacks can have, giving simple gestures powerful sword-like properties that slice through most forces that would oppose them. With this ability, Soryen is capable of taking on armed opponents with but their bare limbs. While Soryen can make themselves sharper, doing so more than what a normal sword is capable of will only make this ability last for five posts before 5 cool down posts are put in place. Soryen however cannot cut or pierce through anything harder than iron, but even then iron does take a bit to cut.
Weaknesses:
- Cannot cut through anything harder than iron
- Durability is only as durable as a normal iron sword

Asura Form: A berserking form which is brought about when Soryen feels extreme negative emotions. In this form he gains bullet deflecting durability and car throwing strength. One could easily compare him to a Asura, a member of a group of power-seeking deities from Hindu/Buddhist Mythology, who were sometimes considered sinful and materialistic, but most often considered to have become addicted to passions, especially wrath, pride, boasting, and bellicosity. Asura are obsessed with force and violence, always looking for an excuse to get into a fight, angry with everyone and unable to maintain calm or solve problems peacefully. In this form, Soryen is empty of all rational restraints in battle and completely immersed in combat becoming a dangerous warrior for both friend and foe. He is able to mostly ignore heavy physical damage as if it never affected them and continue fighting with a frightening level of stamina while also being unpredictable and erratic in combat, making it hard to counter him. This state makes fighting Soryen extremely difficult as it boosts his adrenaline and stamina to the point he is able to wear out his opponent through sheer tenacity and ferocity alone. While in this form he gains several assets other than his Berserk State. One of the most notable are the massive arms he has on his shoulders with hands capable of completely squeezing a person's torso and punching deep dents into iron. Along with these massive arms are five long tendrils on his back which he can extend and control at once with high speed and precision, allowing him to take on and cut down numerous opponents simultaneously. These tendrils can also be used to deflect incoming attacks, or defeat opponents with minimal damage via tentacle binding. His Asura form is even capable of growing multiple eyes at any point of his body.
Weaknesses:
- While user is able to ignore the effects of injuries sustained in the berserk state, these injuries will take full effect when they come out of the state, with ugly consequences if too much damage was taken.
- May not be able to tell friend from foe while in the berserk state, and may risk accidentally hurting or even killing allies, friends or loved ones.
- Mind becomes incredibly feral, not allowing any sort of planning, just raw instinct and thus can be susceptible to traps and tricks.
- Asura Form lasts for 10 posts or if Soryen is knocked unconscious.
- Cannot move his body for a total of 12 hours after exiting Berserker state.
- While he is able to use his other abilities in this form, he is completely unable to hold back and is susceptible to their drawbacks.
- Can only be done twice

████████ † Personality & Personal Information † ████████

Personality: Soryen fashions himself gentleman, in and outside of work, but at the same time, he tends to be rather sarcastic and full of himself, very often getting himself in trouble because of the way he runs his mouth at times, without any regards for their feelings, or simply speaking the truth from his own point-of-view, doing so with an oddly-placed sense of honesty about it. However, Soryen passes this off as him being brutally honest that more often than not tends to pass him off as an eccentrically rude, yet odd kind of person with an unconventional and slightly strange personality. Soryen spends most of his time laying around reading magazines or simply going off on his own to do his own thing, choosing to take it easy rather than bother himself with getting too heated up in the moment. While passively keeping himself on friendly terms with others, Soryen dislikes the entire notion of “competition” or “honor”, primarily due to the degree in which most people go in order to win or uphold their own personal values, which in contrast to him, isn’t that important to him. As a result, his wants and desires are relatively simple by comparison, causing him to base his actions solely on what he likes or dislikes, if nothing else. With such a neutral stance, Soryen tends to stay out of the way or out of sight, mainly do to his preference of purposefully standing by the sidelines until he is needed rather than needlessly having to dirty up his own hands with grunt work.

As such, he commonly keeps himself away from picking fights with others unless he has a good enough reason to do so or in order to break his boredom. However, as plain as he may seem, Soryen mainly plays himself off as a rather simple-minded person, downplaying his true talents by playing the support role in the group so as to fly under the radar rather than be the center of attention. For the vast majority of the time, Soryen can be seen as rather immature or annoying whenever he gets his way, which ends up in him trying to feign ignorance by playing coy at times, such as being secretive about what he knows or pretending he doesn’t know anything at all so that he can get under his opponent's skin. As an average man, his personality stems from the fact that he isn’t as enthusiastic over fighting, often relying more on his wits and cunning to protect himself by carefully choosing his battles wisely, and winning through a combination of charisma and quick thinking. As a man who fights with words, Soryen’s most common method of dealing with his problems is by simply dodging around topics and unfavoring situations with his mannerisms and speaking skills, showing a side of him that favors compromise over actually exerting himself physically by pointlessly having to fight. However this in no way means he is a weakling, if the situation calls for it he will exert himself to defeat his opponent.

When simply acting in a normal fashion, Soryen is surprisingly lively when he isn’t lounging around, dedicating most of his off hours living it up to the fullest. This attitude to take life by the reigns is also mirrored when he fights, spending the greater part of a fight messing around or simply asking his opponents a series of questions, using his magic to add some flare to his evening as a bonus. When interacting with others, he displays a keener sense of goodwill and benevolence, giving him a very friendly and approachable demeanor while still withholding a mysterious ambiance around him. This is naturally seen when interacting with his fellow studentss at his guild building, always preferring to mess around with his friends and have a good time, but at the same time keeping them at arm's length so as to keep an eye on them. This naturally makes him somewhat compassionate when it comes to other people, but at the same time rather relaxed and accepting to the type of nature that most people have in the way they interact with others, simply skipping the need to comprehend why they do the things they do and just accept things for what they are.
His tendency to simply go with the flow and look at the glass half full makes him too lenient when it comes to his responsibilities, preferring to play it cool instead of putting on a serious face to deal with his problems. Rather than stress himself and panic, Soryen chooses to simply relax and accept a situation for what it is, rather than focus on trying to alter or control it, doing what he can to manage it but responding in a way that occurs after it happens. Being it his way of seeing how things unfold before stepping in, he does so in order to see whether or not it'll have a negative or positive effect, always thinking before needlessly jumping the gun on a situation he doesn't fully understand. This stems for the fact that Soryen is a very cautious and adventurous individual, enjoying himself whenever he get's a chance to observe something new such as an unidentified ability or combating a strong enough opponent that peaks his interest, being one of the main reasons as to why he’s so impressionable. With such a calm disposition about him, he seldom gets worked up or surprised by anything not directly involving him or his allies, rarely finding himself afraid at the prospect of losing of failing. Aside from his odd personal traits, he's rather charismatic due his accepting nature, scarcely judging others based on anything superficial such as appearances, only taking into consideration their intentions and personal history, being the main factors into determining whether they'll be potential allies or another pain for him to deal with.

For someone of his particular standing in the Videl Academy community, Soryen is very down to earth in comparison to other students, as he has no visions of grandeur or desire to pursue greater power, or any greater purpose other than to simply do what he wants to do without being told otherwise. His most interesting trait can be found in the performer's side of him, manifesting itself in his constant need to entertain others with magic tricks and performances, partially doing it out of the simple desire of having a fun time doing it over doing it out of necessity. He typically uses most of his magical abilities and tricks to catch the attention of those around him, doing so by cracking jokes or puns at the events unfolding before him, reveling in his sense of humor by mocking or exploiting the mistakes of others. Interestingly enough, the way he speaks and acts is also an allusion to this — Soryen speaks in a rather informal, casual manner that passes off as being relatively, skipping the high and mighty tone most people take and simply speaking with a more realistic tone. Not only that, but Soryen does demonstrate a severe annoyance for people that bother him or complicate his affairs with their meddling by making things unnecessarily difficult for him, being one of the few things that actually does test his temper.

Fears: Becoming like his Father, His brother dying in Prison
Backstory: There was once a child who had grown up in a rundown apartment complex along with his older brother. Their Mother, Yana Seigao, was a beautiful blue haired woman who had at one point worked hard to become a police woman. After getting coffee at her favorite park during her routine jog, she had met a rather handsome young man with black hair and blue eyes. The man had decided to help to a lost child find his mother, he was shouting for the child's mother so loud that Yana was convinced it echoed all throughout the park. Wishing to help the man, she had joined in, yelling out as loud as she could for the lost boy's mother and eventually the son and mother would be reunited but only after Yana and the man had wore their voices thin. The handsome man had thanked Yana on helping him and the boy, going so far as to call her their Hero. This had warmed her heart a bit, urging her to want to know the man's name. His name was Yokudō Norochi, he worked as a private investigator and evidently he had at one point wished to be a Journalist, but thanks to his family he wasn't allowed to do such. The two had spent a few hours exchanging stories of how their "heroic acts" when they were younger while they were still aspiring to be Heroes. Their like-mindedness had urged the others to want to see each other again and thus scheduled days where they could go on jogs together. Eventually these meet ups would become dates and they had expanded from simply jogging. Soon after the usual pace most couples go had begun, they went on dates, got to know each other better, spent every now and then at one another's apartment, moved in with one another, and then eventually got married and had their first child. For a while everything was well, but then the man she fell for had changed. He had become a horrid monster that had become an addicted gambler and she had gotten a terminal illness. Both she and their son, Aoisei, would often receive his anger whenever he came home after losing. Their second son, Soryen, of course was not safe from his abuse either. Every time he was hit, Aoisei would take on whatever beatings or punishments his little brother would receive following the initial hit. Thanks to Yokudō's addiction, barely any money had ever gone towards supporting his family, only himself to further his greed. This would lead to the brothers to have to sell their possessions, do odd jobs, and even sometimes steal, all for money and food. Whenever they were caught, Yokudō would beat them both and keep the money for himself, simply telling the original owners that they spent it on candy.

The only things that kept Soryen sane and full of hope in this horrid life were three things, his Mother's love, Aoisei who Soryen admired greatly, and the various Sentai shows on TV that Yana and her sons would watch whenever Yokudō had left on his week long Yen Quests. Those weeks were the happiest those three would be. For just a short amount of time they were free from that man's abuse; during that time Aoisei would play Sentai Hero with Soryen as the Hero and him as the Villain/Monster while their mother was the civilian that needed to be saved. During these play sessions, Aoisei had always insisted that he was the Villain/Monster, the reason why was simple: he wanted Soryen to aspire to be someone heroic one day so that he could be far away from their Father and even perhaps get the justice Soryen and their mother deserved. Eventually a new member would join the family, a beautiful baby girl who would be named Suyobi, but within a year of her birth the terminal illness that plagued her mother would take her away from her children. The death of their mother had great scared Aoisei, but Soryen had felt the true impact of this. The two had raised Suyobi by themselves, teaching her what they could as their Father no doubt had no interest of having her go to school. The brothers would take on any and all beatings or acts of abuse Suyobi might receive from Yokudō, no matter how severe it was. She was a flower that needed to be protected, she was a light left behind by their Mother that will never be enshrouded by the darkness.

Eventually Aoisei had left the house more often without Soryen for a job he had recently gotten into. According to him, this job will help them rake in more money to take care of themselves and may even help out with their Dad. Sadly this lack of time Soryen would get to spend with Aoisei would slowly start affecting his little brother. He had become much more depressed and his grasp of what little hope he had started to loosen as time went on. It was during a week where their Father was gone that Aoisei had noticed how badly Soryen needed hope. Even though they were watching Sentai, he would not smile and when they played Sentai Hero this broken look in his eyes would not fade and no enthusiasm or happiness had surfaced during that whole week. On the day before their Father got home, Aoisei had taken Soryen and Suyobi out to a toy store and would buy them whatever they wanted. Soryen had depressingly requested a action figure of this Sentai inspired costume while a four year old Suyobi had asked for some crayons. The day following would be known as the last straw for Aoisei. The little sister, despite the abuse her brothers had gotten, had taken the crayons and drew a child level drawing of her Father and his children having a picnic on a sunny hill, all four of them smiling. The fact she had crayons he did not recall her having before, Yokudō had been angered and slapped his daughter so hard it gave her a nose that was gushing blood. When Aoisei and Soryen had found their little sister this way, the eldest brother had started a brawl with the father, only to lose thanks to Yokudō’s experience with fist fights. After this loss, Aoisei had decided it was time for his siblings to be free. The following week, Aoisei had gotten his hands on a gun and had his siblings hide in their room. Then Aoisei shot a begging Yokudō in between the eyes, but unfortunately his siblings had came downstairs just in time to watch the bullet go through the man's skull. This had mortified them both and the only thing Aoisei could do was call the police to turn himself in.

Soryen would later learn that Aoisei's job was being a debt collector for a gang. He would rough people up that didn't pay back the yen they owed to the gang. He jumped at the chance to collect yen from his Father, but had chosen to kill him instead which would make the debt he owed pass onto his children. Aoisei did not know that such a thing would happen and tried to fight the police who had arrested him, but it was too late, his siblings had been taken away and a physically strong Police Officer had aided in Aoisei being sent off to be tried as an Adult and sent to prison. Due to the possibility of Soryen and Suyobi being sold off by the gang to make back the money, they were both placed into witness protection and were adopted by a boxer and his wife. Soryen had greatly blamed himself for what his older brother did, while Shihā getting a bloody nose was half of the reason, he had expected his loss of hope and broken emotions had been the other. At some point, powers had begun to manifest within Soryen. He was able to cut things with his bare hands, boost his body as though he was a projectile, and perform a single action, only for it to be done multiple times without him having to move his body. Eventually Soryen had left home and enrolled at Videl Academy hoping that perhaps he could learn something there that could help him and his siblings be free from his older brother's actions.
Goal: To get his brother out of prison
