Her trip up from Oba had been an eventful one but once she had gotten her son to where it was he needed to be she left him with directions to where she would be. Just in case he needed her. V'demhe shivered and brought the hood that covered her delicate antennae down a bit more to keep the wind off them. Cold weather wasn't something she enjoyed. Of course she hadn't known that until she'd set foot into Zena.

When she reached the house she was supposed to be at she shook from the cold and huffed out a breath of fog before knocking. "Callum. Open the door! It's colder than spring storm out here!" Shouting was the only thing she could think of that would keep her teeth from clattering together. A mighty Alkidike she might be in warmer climates but up here in the snow she was too busy shivering to be a threat to a perzi kit.

A harsh wind clawed at the windows of Callum's modest cabin, heralding a storm of apocalyptic proportions. The thick glass was already stained with fragments of ice, just soft enough to melt when touched by curious fingers. In moments like this he worried over his children. Both were traveling through Zena southward, Sol having come north to meet his sister half way, and though he knew they had the training to stay safe Callum knew, more so than most, what an unpredictable force the weather could be.

Stepping away from the window Callum tugged at the edges of his coat and pulled them over his shoulders. It was a light bit of material meant to be worn indoors during the worst of storms, and perhaps if the fire was properly stoked he may not have needed it. However, he was trying to ration what dry wood they had for when his company returned. He was fine for the moment; a little chilled but nothing more. Surely she would need it more so than he.

Callum wondered vaguely if he should move some of the snow away from the entry way. It was a passive thought, one that followed him as he milled around his home, picking up discarded items. If the snow had built up in the hours he'd been sequestered away then maybe she wouldn't even see the door, or if she did then surely she would just drag in a massive pile when she came-

He paused, turning towards the entryway with his arms laden, a small smile on his face. Guess she found it. Callum sat his load atop the table, pausing for a moment to pick up a smaller blanket and to throw a log on the fire, before moving to open the door.

"That's because it is a storm, V'demhe, and a nasty one."
As predicted, as soon as he opened the door a generous helping of snow tumbled in, but that could be dealt with later. Callum motioned for her to come in, and quickly.

If she wasn't shaking like a leaf in the wind she might have been a bit more remorseful about the snow that followed her inside, but as it was she could care less about the powdery ice. With a whimper she moved away from the door and glared at the outside. "What possessed anyone to live up here?"

She was holding herself and rubbing at her arm furiously to get some warmth back. "Even a sea storm is warmer than this." And at the time she had thought it was cold. Now she would gladly take one of those compared to Zena. Either that or she needed to hunt down the fluffiest beast that ever lived and use it's fur as an insulator. "Remind me that the next time one of my children wants to come up here to knock some sense into them."

Once she was done complaining about the weather she looked around at the little cabin. It was much.. neater than her house since Callum didn't have a whole hoard of children and animals living in it. She also imagined that it was much quieter. V'demhe wasn't so sure how well she would be able to deal with that since she was so used to the chaos that seemed to be her family.
