It had been quite the journey for Sawa so far. Having left her home on her quest for her new name, she had been informed by a passing old pride member that there was no need to go back - everyone had moved on. This might have bothered some, but Sawa had taken it in stride. Along her meandering through the rogue lands she had acquired two adorable little cubs to take care of, although she had to admit they were starting to get a little big and bold for her tastes. Perhaps leaving them be when they were old enough to hunt would be the best course of action.

But for now, Sawa was content to roam with them and explore. She had yet to find a place she didn't like, although she preferred areas with lots of plants to commune with. She had been following her nose for the past few days, tracking a rather salty smell that promised lots of new things to discover. And indeed, after tucking the cubs up in a hollowed out tree to let them nap, Sawa discovered a thick forest where that salty smell seemed to be caught.

Curious, the lioness made her way through the trees, pausing to speak softly to a bush or a sapling. The smell of lions was strong here on top of the salt and she had the suspision she might be trespassing on pride lands, but the easy going lioness knew that if it was a hostile pride she would have encountered someone already. So, carefree as always, Sawa pressed on undeterred.

Beyler was out doing his job... hunting. He did his best not to feel rather blah about it, but in truth, he felt his life had come to a rather lackluster climax and wasn't likely to get much more interesting. He'd spent his cubhood trying frantically to look after his many sisters. When they'd grown and begun doing their own thing, at first he'd nearly pulled his mane out keeping tabs on all their shenannigans. But now, everyone was well into adulthood and had their own lives... they really didn't need him looking after them, he had to admit. But what did that leave him with?

He gave a great sigh as he padded into the jungle to scour the raised areas for possible prey. Who would want the likes of him for a mate? He just wasn't exciting, or especially handsome, or excellent at anything in particular. He knew what his sisters called him... a worrywart. And who wanted a worrywart as their lifelong companion?!

He wasn't really looking very hard for something to kill and bring back. He sprawled on a thick tree limb and gazed morosely into the mottled sun-and-shadow of the jungle floor. Suddenly, movement caught his eye, and he sat up. A moving gleam of sunshine was pausing here and there, leaning over plants and stretching to breathe on a young tree... what in the world was going on here? Intrigued, he got up and followed the entwining tree limbs that served as a road to circle around and follow her.

When he was close enough, he realized she wasn't breathing on the different bits of foliage... she was talking to them? Even more curious now, he leaned forward to try and catch what she was saying, but she spoke too low for him to understand. "What are you telling them?" he finally spoke up, keeping his voice low in hopes of not startling her.
