This is the first place one comes after fully becoming an Academy Student, and it's here where you'll acquire the land you and your Pokemon will be squatting on for the duration of your stay. As you pass through the door, you find yourself in a white sterile room, almost totally devoid of color. Tiles shine under the harsh light. A bored but ethereal woman stands behind the counter, which is emblazoned with the words "SILPH CO".
"Greetings," she remarks in a cool monotone. "This is the Poké-lot Acquisition Center, hosted by Silph Co. We are here to assist you in acquiring a domicile while you are a student at the Academy. The wall behind her is revealed to be a screen as it flickers to life and color. Three islands appear on the display, with large text boxes of descriptions scrolling by them. A warm forest, a placid beach, and a harsh canyon lie before you in glorious high-definition. "These are your options," she intones "Please read carefully, as you cannot change your mind once the final decision has been made."
The woman falls silent. She's listening to for you to choose, for once you've done that, all that's left is the paperwork. it's her job to get you set up with a deed that registers the Poké-lot to you, and then direct you to the warp tile that will teleport you to your island.

As a note: the second or third post of your Poke-lot must be designated as some kind of record, as per the part of your profile called "Story Bio". The Story Bio (though you can call it other things) is were you'll keep track of your character's missions and status in the Academy.]

Starter Lands
All students receive a plot of land which will allow them to store 3 Pokemon, and will only hold five items. Food must be left for the Pokemon on the appropriate island, or else they can and will die. Each Pokemon will absorb 1 unit of food & water per every 5 battles.
* Area# 1 - Forest Grove - the first zone available. Quite popular, and often recommended for new trainers. Self-supporting with a small pond for water and berry bushes for food. This area needs little to no work in order to maintain, and in response to that the Pokemon here gains little to no experiences from being stored here.
All pokemon stored here gain +1 exp per battle
* Area# 2 - Crescent Beach - is a favorite of many trainers for its cool atmosphere! It is a small island secluded by ocean water, which makes it harder to access by wild Pokemonand trainers alike. Though this security comes with a price; there is no fresh water here, so any Pokemon left here can die of dehydration if no water types are included in this place.
All Pokemon store here gain+5 exp per battle (If no water types are store here or alternative source of water found, -5 hp each battle for all Pokemon)
* Area# 3 - Upraising Crater - a hostile land. It is a small area that is encase in nothing but rock and stone. There isn't food or water here-- food would have to be grown or left in order for the Pokemon to be able to survive here. As for water, either a water type or another form of water source must be left behind or else the Pokemon might die while the trainer is away.
All pokemon store here gain 1/4 exp from a battle. (If no water types are store here & no food is left behind for all Pokemonhp is reduced by 1/4 each battle)
Onyxia walked in, Ordo running around her feet. "Buddy calm down." Smiling as she waited to be served. She could see the options. Kneeling down she began to pet her little buddy. "Okay Ordo... one of those places will be our new home. We get one of those places. We can do either the woods, an island, or a crater." Ordo was licking her face as she looked forward. "I think the woods will be good for us Ordo. More opportunities for battles and finding more friends."
"A fine choice," the monotone woman intoned, nodding to Onyxia. She opened the drawer almost silently, and carefully picked up both a sheet of paper and a pen. "Please fill out this form. I need to register your information before assigning you a lot." ---

Now, when you got to make your Poke-lot thread, make sure to title it with the name of your lot, as well as the trainer's name. An example of how to set up a lot can be seen here and here.
Onyxia looked up to the woman and gave a kind smile. "Alright Ordo, we sign this and no going back." To which Ordo nudged her forward, which made her giggle. Taking the pen in hand she signed for the location. "Onyxia Skirata. Homestead name... Kyrimorut." It was an odd ball name but it had been what her family named previously owned land before it was more developed or bought from them. "You like the name Ord'ika?" Her Litleo nodded and jumped around. "Anything else I need to do?"
The lot attendant looked over the deed, eyes scanned for any mistakes. Satisfied, she lifted her arm and pointed to a raised white pad to Onyxia's left. "Please exit to your Poké-lot through that warp pad over there. You will be teleported. Upon arrival, search for your housing-- it will be a sparsely-furnished dome. Deposit any belongings you have with you and then report to your classroom." At that, she fell silent, merely resting her cool gaze on the girl.
Onyxia nodded and looked to Ordo. "Well you heard her... and no sad eyes." She smiled as Ordo ran off to the pad. Looking back to the woman Onyxia smiled and nodded. "Thank you so much. I just hope he loves it. Oh, you have been so much help." With a smile and a final wave she walked over to the pad. "Well... beam us up Scotty." With a final Wave they left.
Much as he entered any given location, Sol would arrive with a grin on his features and a Golett at his back....carrying the bags. He'd tried to do it himself once, but after nearly falling over he decided the grunt work was best left to the Ground-type. It was clear by the look of the place...and the apparently availability of land to the point they could GIVE IT AWAY...that the Academy was doing quite well financially. The question was where to set up shop....ha, as if it were a question. Forests were nice and all, plenty of places to hide; but people had this "thing" about being attracted to nature. A private island was good in theory, but such places were easy to spot from a distance, and a ship on the open sea was easy to follow. A crater ridden wasteland though? Idea. Its dry, hot, and nobody in their right mind would want to go there; meaning a severe lack of prying eyes to witness any "questionable" goings on.
Sliding up to the counter and grinning from ear to ear, Sol would state quite clearly "I'll take the Crater please!"
When Aria and Bael arrived, it looked as if the woman at the counter was already busy. A boy in a flashy outfit, probably another student, was requesting his own bit of living space. Although Bael tried to go over and sniff at the boy, Aria pulled him away so that the student could have his space. "Come on, Bael. Just stay here by me," she lightly chided the houndour pup. While waiting patiently for the other person to complete his business, Aria busied herself by reading the various descriptions on the screen behind the counter. All three areas had their advantages, and Aria wanted to be sure that she made the right choice for however long she would be staying at the academy.

"Understood" remarked the unnaturally pale woman. Unerring gaze fixed on Sol, she'd pull out a pen and piece of paper before handing them over to the shorter male. "Please fill out the information so that I may register a lot in your name. We cannot have you going to a lot that has not been registered, so please make haste." ---

Her stare would be broken as she noticed Aria. "Have you made a decision?" she asked coolly. "I am able to help you, if you have the need. Do you require move information?" Not the most personable of attendants, but then, she hadn't be hired for her bedside manner.
A quick glance over the screen was all Altair would need to make his decision. The sea had strong connections with the moon; in some cultures simply a mirror, in others a lover. What it meant to him, he was still unsure, but hopefully in finding out he could fine tune his relationship with the stars above...
"The beach, if I may" was all he had to say to the woman behind the counter, and now it was his turn to fall silent and wait.

Robin walked into the acquisitions center and approached the receptionist with Fluffles in their arms. The little Espurr seemed pleased by the physical affection, if her smile was anything to go by. When the options were presented, they turned to Fluffles. "So... Looks like we could have a forest with lots of food and water, a beach with food but no water, or a crater with literally nothing... What do you think? One "purr" for forest, two for beach, and three for the crater."
Fluffles took a while to think and look at the display boards before answering with "Purrrr~!"
Robin smiled at that. "Alright, forest it is!"
(( ps please excuse my lack of formatting or fluffles' stats; kinda busy atm but wanted to at least make a post to show i'm not dead or anything lol ))
Once the woman at the counter was done enough to address her, Aria gave the white-haired lady a small smile. "Yes, I-" she began, but two other students, one looking to be older and the other younger, made their way over to the counter to ask for their locations. Bael gave the two a growl, but Aria briefly knelt down and gave the houndour pup a light noogie to make him quiet down. Bael whined in protest, but kept quiet after that as he followed his trainer to the counter. "Yes, I've decided. I'd like a spot at the beach, please," Aria answered, hopefully before any more interruptions could occur.

Of course, she'd hardly finished Altair when another youth approached the counter. She'd give Robin a nod before handing over a pen and a sheet of thick paper for the student to fill out. "Complete this form, please, and I will get you set up with your new 'home away from home'." There was no warmth in the comment, but then, there wasn't any warmth anything the robotic woman did ever.

Unlike the other two, Aria had been given a reason behind signing that was rather unsettling to the girl. "Of course..." she replied hesitantly as she took the two items and moved off to the side so that someone else could approach the counter if they needed to. Looking over the document, pretty much all she needed to do was fill in the blanks... Which meant coming up with a name.

After signing, Aria gave the paper another once-over to make sure she didn't miss anything. Satisfied, she went back over to where she needed to go. "Here you are back, miss," the girl said as she offered the pen and signed document back to the woman behind the counter.
