Stormborn Spawn
First up is the Ragnvard and Rieseln family! Ragnvard is a Captain and Rieseln is one of his Thralls and also his personal Seer. She is treated well by the notorious male thanks to her visions and cheerful attitude. These cubs are claimed by Ragnvard and will be raised by both parents, although during their youth most of it will fall to Rieseln. She'll certainly do her best to teach them to be kind and fun, but Ragnvard will undoubtedly want more muscle for his Vikings. They have two siblings and many...many half siblings (and future half siblings) on both sides of the family. These are the cubs you'll be trying for.
Simply fill out the form below and choose one of the RP prompts to enter for the cubs. You can enter for all, but may only win one.
Prompt 1: Your father is a well-known Captain, but you've heard whispers (and some rather loud and angry shouting) about him being cruel, evil, and other nasty words. What do you think about that? Are they right? Are they wrong?
Prompt 2: Your mother is a Seer, which allows her to see into the future. During her visions she slips into a state of unconsciousness. While out and about one day, she settles down to have a vision, leaving you on your own for a bit. What do you do? Do you stick close to her to protect her from other lions? Do you strike off on an adventure?

Rogue Rompers
The second part of this little contest are two rogue boys born to Shikoba, a startlingly large lioness that - from a distance - is often mistaken for a male for her size, large, fluffy tuft, neck, and chest fur, and her deep voice. She had a fling with a passing male named Samael, a Stormborn who serves Ragnvard on his Vikings. Shikoba didn't learn much about Samael while he was with her and he will have no part in the lives of these cubs. If they somehow find their way to the Stormborn, he will not claim them as his own as he does not know of their existence. Shikoba is a gal that doesn't like being tied down, so as soon as these cubs can hunt and fend for themselves, she's going to leave them. Once they grow to adol they will be on their own and can go wherever they please! They have three siblings and some cousins and an aunt in the Schnee pride, but other than that have no family. Here are the cubs you'll be trying for.

Which cub are you entering for?:White paws
SoA Name: Raizen
Meaning: (A fancy way to spell raisin. Cause he looks like a raisin <3)
Personality: Raizen will be like a river, ever changing and constantly moving. Some days he'll be calm and others a raging ball of energy and emotion, it just depends. Despite his constant emotional cocktail he will lead with his heart and head. He could care less about what others say about his father. He has been there for them and claimed them as his own when he didn't have to and that is good enough for him.
As an Adol he will strive to be one of the best and brightest, using his wits and charisma to win others over. While he will have his fathers build he won't use brute force unless it's absolutely required of him. He believes that things can be handled without violence, at least most of the time.
He will be a guiding light for his siblings, full and half alike. Blood is thicker than water and he will fight for them no matter the cause. Well, most causes anyway. He will draw a line at some point and refuse to cross it unless it's absolutely necessary. Raizen will achieve to rise up and be a great Lion, a Leader among the Flock.
He has his eyes on Lawspeaker but that's a bit out of reach for him just yet.
Will Rieseln's early influence affect the cub at all, or will they follow in Ragnvard's footprints? Or will they blaze their own trail?: He will take his mothers guidance and teachings into consideration as he grows and matures into the adult he'll become but overall he will be his own lion. Using what he has learned from both parents to make a command decision about things.
Prompt Response: She was still, a living breathing shell of his mother. He always found her trance state to be a little spooky, since she was completely unaware of what was going on around here in the present and he often worried. She was a thrall, unlike him and his siblings. While they had been blessed to be Freeborn when their father claimed them she was still a slave and that meant she could easily be called upon by others. Not that he believed anyone would touch one of his fathers thralls. Not if they wanted to live.
Still.
The place they were was secluded for the most part but he wouldn't leave her. It had been just coincidental that he had been with her when it had happened. Had he not he probably wouldn't worry about it at all, but since he was here he figured he'd have to make sure nothing happened to her. She was his mother after all and he'd be damned if he let someone do something to her when she was unable to protect herself.
Besides, he was freeborn, he could say she was under his care for now, right?
Looking around he made sure the area was secure and made himself comfortable. He wasn't sure how long it would last but he could occupy himself quite well in the mean time.

SoA Name: Haziel
Meaning: "Vision of God"
Personality:
How dare you ask for his personality? Don't you know who he is? Don't you know who his father is? He'll have your head for your insolence... No, no, he's kidding (well almost). You see Haziel is going to have a measure of vanity that would rival any fashionista. Not only will he look amazing and be all too aware of this, but he'll have the pride to boot.
Let alone expecting you to know who his father is, he'll expect you to know exactly who he is as well. Forget bloodlines, he's Haziel and you would do well to remember that. Mention that his mother is a thrall and you'll get clubbed in the head by a rather heavy paw.
Fortunately, he'll still have a soft spot for that mother of his, but when it comes to everyone else... Well unless they pander to his whims they're going to have a bad time.
Will Rieseln's early influence affect the cub at all, or will they follow in Ragnvard's footprints? Or will they blaze their own trail?:
Honestly I'm not sure, I'd like to believe that Rieseln's words might reach him now and then to temper him to a degree, but he'll have both elements of his parents in him.
In the end I suspect he'll blaze his own trail for the most part. Stay tuned!
Prompt Response: (Numero #2)
Oh really, his mother had fainted again? Really she needed to have a bit more strength, he'd have thought that after all these years she'd have gotten a bit better at this. Fortunately, he'd taken note that she was still breathing, and given she was unlikely to swallow her own damn tongue he saw no reason to stick around. He was done with the preaching for one day, while his mother was all about being 'nice', she failed to realise that sometimes the cubs needed a good slap.
Diplomacy wasn't really his strong point; at least not yet anyway.
Thus he had abandoned his mother and his siblings (again) to go off in search of something worthy of his time. He'd already stumbled upon the drunkards at the centre of the pride, they'd stank and after some time nearby he'd come to the conclusion they were all stupid. He'd also encountered several other unusual games among adult lionesses and lions - frankly those hadn't made much sense either... And so he had decided to branch out and head towards somewhere else.
His destination? The borders.
His intentions? Currently unknown.
The cub had heard tales of the Reavers striking out against travellers, of mighty battles to prove worth and he wanted to see whether or not these 'travellers' were up to snuff. Forget the Reavers, this holier-than-thou hellion was going to be the judge and he'd be quite vocal about it to. Or at least this was his intention anyway, he hadn't quite accounted for the fact that the second anyone saw him they might very well quick march him the whole way home again.
He'd find that out soon enough, until then, onwards!

Which cub are you entering for?: Orange female.
SoA Name: Solvi
Meaning: From the house of strength
Personality: Solvi is different from both her mother and her father. She doesn't take after her mother's cheerful demeanor nor is she driven to battle like her father. Solvi is stuck in the middle. She is like a rock standing strong and proud against the harsh waves.
The best word to describe Solvi is solemn. She spends her days quietly observing the on goings around her. There are those who claim the cub is touched in the head or jokingly call her comatose in these unwavering states of watch. Others simply believe her head is up in the clouds too often and brush her off. What they don't understand is that Solvi is well aware of her actions. Though her methods might be put in to question the results that she gains from these long sessions make it all the more worthwhile. What she is doing in these moments is studying the body language of other members of the pride, eavesdropping to collect bits and pieces of information, stealing quick peeks of intimate moments, learning the secrets others would rather keep guarded. Solvi is a firm believer that power through influence and knowledge is just as strong as physical abilities. The more knowledge she absorbs the more power she collects.
Solvi however runs as a true neutral individual. She is very blunt and straight forward once she is moved to speak on a matter. Most of the time she ends up playing devil's advocate for both sides involved. That is of course only on the rare occasion she is unwillingly dragged into the middle of conflicts. To her it simply did not make sense to intervene unless the situation was dire. Why be in the middle and possibility burn bridges with potential allies when you can sit back and observe the fiery aftermath?
I wouldn't imagine this girl to make many "true friends" in her lifetime. Don't mistake her for being anti-social, she can handle floating through a crowd with grace and tact. Being on agreeable terms with acquaintances, allies that further her goals, people she respects, yes. In her time I'd imagine she'd gain large handful of contacts. People she is deeply fond of and trusts with her true inner workings is a whole other matter. Breaking past her barriers and catching her interest long enough for her to spend time with you is a extremely rare accomplishment. If someone does manage to put in the effort they are rewarded with a very loyal friend. She might express her fondness for someone in a different manner than most (Such as making sure any harmful rumors floating around are squashed, randomly popping up in your home for a chat, sharing intimate secrets she's collected in her time) but you can count on her to be there if you need a helping hand. With her having little filter when it comes to honesty any friends or family member can expect her to openly call you out on any bullshit or stupidity rather than hold your hand and act as an enabler.

Or will they blaze their own trail?: Solvi is most definitely going to be going to be following the beat of her own drum. Though she will have a strong influence from both of her parents. Such as a certain open-mindedness, extreme patience, and though it might be very dry with a touch on the macabre side she does have a sense of humor. Solvi does gain her father's determination and willingness to do what it takes to get what she wants. However she has little interest in joining a viking band. Waiting until war bands come back from their vikings to listen in on their drunken stories of the outside world beyond the mountains is much more her style.
Perhaps when she gets older she'll be pursued to use her collective knowledge as a Lawspeaker but that remains to be seen.
Prompt Response: (Going to be using Prompt 1)
The rumors and whispers about her father were no secret to the small cub. In the brief moments she was allowed out of site Solvi spent it on excursions gathering intel through eavesdropping in the main township. Her father's name had been tossed around more times than she could count. Each person seemingly having their different take on his reputation. There were often Reavers that praised him for a hard earned loyalty and respect for his strength and leadership as a captain. On the other side of the coin others dragged his name through the mud as being a cruel, merciless being even in Stormborn standards. It was rare but there were those who downright deemed him evil.
Solvi was not convinced by either ends of the spectrum.
Don't mistake her neutrality for a lack of affection to her father. She cared for him just as she cared for all of her family. She had no ill words against his skills as a father. He showed a more softer side when it came to his children and her mother. He made sure that they were will provided for and had the best chance to succeed in life when he could have just as easily left them as thralls and forgotten about their existence.
However Solvi was not naive to the fact that outside of their small family unit he was a much different person. Becoming a captain was not a easy feat. You couldn't achieve such a status in their society by being a pacifist or carefully talking your way out of conflicts. No, your position had to be hard fought and came often with trail of misery and blood following your path.Their pride honored battle and was proud of being strong warriors. Despite what some might like to believe war was not pretty. It was cruel, it was merciless, it was bloody and there were always two sides of the story. Perhaps within your standards you were the hero or at least within your right. However there was always a victim on the other side that would claim you to be the sinister villain.
Not too long ago someone once asked Solvi her opinion on her father. It elected a brief pause from the cub as she lifted her attention from the toy she had been tinkering with moments before to boredly stare at the questioner before casually shrugging in response. She saw no reason to express her personal opinion on the subject. All it would lead to is an accusation of being bias or give more fuel to her father's enemies. To her keeping her tongue at bay was the most respectful thing she could do. It might have left the person scratching their heads at her vague answer but it would make it harder for them to dramatically twist her words to suit their prerogative.
Still, Solvi held no resentment for the person attempting to stick their noses in other people's business, after all it's what she loved to do as a pass time. Though she couldn't help but think that perhaps they needed to work on their approach a taaaaad bit more if they wanted to have more success. Being so straight forward and obvious was bound to raise a few eyebrows and gain them a reputation quickly among the pride for being a gossiping hen.
But she wasn't going to discourage anyone who took the attention of others away from her. If people focused more on them being nosy nancy well...that just made her life all the easier.

Which cub are you entering for?: Female!
SoA Name: Ravit
Meaning: Norse for "You quenched your thirst"
Personality: Ravit is a strong cub who will grow into a fierce lioness. She is not cruel, though she isn't one to offer kindness without someone earning it. She's rough around the edges, tense and often watching others with a wary eye. It's hard to catch her off guard, and it probably is a bad idea, as she won't shy away from digging her teeth into those who mess with her. She is a fighter, and while her temper usually is reigned in, she isn't perfect. Push at the right buttons and she'll whirl on you with little warning.
However, she isn't all rough. Ravit is protective of the weak, even if she can come off disapproving towards them. Her affection is a tough one, masked under grumpy comments and half insults. She has a soft spot for those younger than her or weaker and always, despite her inner protests, finds herself leaping to their aid should they need it.
Ravit does not understand flirting or jokes, both going right over her head. While she mostly lacks a humor, she herself is humorous when someone does either and she blinks at them blankly. There is plenty room to frustrated the lioness with either of these actions!
Will Rieseln's early influence affect the cub at all, or will they follow in Ragnvard's footprints? Or will they blaze their own trail?: Ravit absolutely aspires to be a captain, however she holds a softer side to her due to her mother. It is safe to say Rieseln has done some good for Ravit! Although, with significant RP she could change her focus to healing! We'll see!
Prompt Response: [Prompt 1]
Ravit curled against Rieseln's side, body tight. Her mother had fallen recently, something she had grown accustomed to over time. It meant another vision, something that left a foul taste in Ravit's mouth. Knowing the future sounded horrifying, honestly. She didn't want to know what laid before her, nor what laid before her family. Knowing something that couldn't be changed would drive her to the breaking point, and she often wondered how Rieseln handled it.
Was it scary? Did Rieseln suffer because of it? Perhaps that thought was why Ravit felt so protective of her mother. Rieseln had to suffer alone, and all Ravit could do was stay by her side in the waking world, snarling and puffing at any lion that happened to walk by. It didn't matter who it was (even her father wasn't exempt!), she wasn't going to leave her mother alone for anything to happen.
The small cub practically barked whenever someone came nearby. The lions nearby were used to this behavior, and she found herself almost wanting to bite their amused smiles off their faces. It had been awhile since her mother opened her eyes... was she okay? Occasionally, when no one was looking, Ravit would gently nudge Rieseln until she heard a breath or sigh.
Still, Ravit was a cub, and cubs had fears. As the sky darkened she found herself leaning further into Rieseln. What if she never woke up? Her mother was kind, something she was drawn to. The idea of her sleeping forever, eventually melting into nothingness, left a bitter panic in her heart. Her growls eventually turned into quiet grumbles, and her ears pinned against her head as she wiggled under Rieseln's arm.
She raised her paw at one point, pawing at Rieseln's face gently. Rieseln's eyes fluttered open and immediately Ravit leapt back, straightening herself. She wasn't going to let her mom catch her in the act of worrying. Absolutely not.
"Welcome back, mom."
