Jamidi had been cross about the hide and seek results long after it happened. Her father was too restrictive, putting them on colony-arrest and making sure there was someone watching her and her siblings all the time! The leopard who had found her, Glacio, had been the one to keep an eye on her and her siblings, but made a point not to crowd them. When she suspiciously questioned him about it, he said he suspected that if he smothered her with his presence, that she would only want to go out past the borders again and perhaps further than before. Well... He wasn't wrong.
She still wanted to go out and explore, especially with being confined to the colony's lands. It was no use talking to her father, of course, he never had time for the cubs, it seemed. He was always too busy on Council business, whatever that meant. Eventually, she grew into adolescence and at last she was left alone. She still spent time with Glacio, having taken on a fondness for the older leopard. He would take her out with him, something that no one else ever did and show her some of the rogue lands. She was jealous of him, getting to go out whenever he pleased and talk to others outside of the colony's boundaries.
Whenever he was gone on longer outings, the ones where she couldn't follow, Jamidi had tried to occupy herself with watching the members of the colony. She had been named an Apprentice a while ago, but she still didn't know what she was going to end up doing. Ideally, she would become a Story-Teller like her good friend, but something small and nagging told her she ought to be looking inside the colony, rather than outside of it.
Today was such a day where that nagging voice was particularly insistent that she approach someone who could tell her more about the colony. For one reason or another, she had her heart set on seeking out her father, Deker, for answers. She didn't mind who she found on the way. She had to finally find out what this Council stuff included (especially since it appeared her father was the only one in it) and what she might be able to do with her future to make the colony seem less stuffy and more... more like a home.
Now if she could only find him first, then she could ask him about all the stuff she had carried with her for such a long while.
