Ashay made her way across the land her paws feeling lighter than they had that morning. She had managed to make a fresh kill and a large one at that, this would feed her for a few sunrises. She still remembers the warm salty taste of blood. The thought made her hungry again but her fresh kill was well hidden between a tree and a rock for later. Right now she was in search of fresh water.

It was not long before she found it, a large river flowing through a small valley. She made her way down as rocks gave way under her paws and tumbled gently down the slope. She approached it and dipped her neck down to take a couple refreshing sips.

He had just managed to make his way back on to Viking land, with Narabe at his heel as per their bargain. The Captain had been reasonably impressed with his first Viking to say the least, the fact he had brought back living treasure was something worthy of respect... but the evenings of celebration and travel had taken their toll and the lion was most assuredly 'hungover'.

...Perhaps he should imbibe less while in the field?

He squinted as he wandered back towards the more well beaten paths back into the center of pride land, only to pause when the lioness caught his eye. She didn't look like anyone he knew, and if she was Freeborn then she shouldn't have been this far out. A stranger perhaps? Either way, she was in a place she really should not have been given the circumstances...

"Unless you want to be swept away in to servitude, you should probably turn around," he stated. Generally, he knew he was supposed to catch first and ask later, but he was hungover and he wasn't quite ready to trust his legs to do anything terribly useful!
