Maybe it was because she'd been doing it for so long, or maybe it was a pokemon-by-pokemon case bases, but Ajicka had never had as much trouble with teleporting as Zero seemed to. "Huh, I guess. I've gotten used to it, but then again, Deoxys has been teleporting me around for... a really long time," she muttered, moving to stand up on the branches to look around. Heck, she'd sort of lost track of just how long he'd been around, in fact, let alone how long he'd been moving them from place to place. It had actually been a while since she'd flown with Fearow.... she'd have to fix that.
Later.
She dropped down, hanging upside down initially, before reaching up to grab the branch between her knees, and then let her legs fall, before finally dropping to the ground, looking at a rock someone had wedged up there. As, what... a diversion? Whatever. "Yeah, no kidding," she muttered, tossing it aside and looking around. "I'm guessing you started a while ago, to be done already?" she asked, her eyes anywhere but on Zero as she scanned the area for eggs. Hopefully with so many of her pokemon scattered, they could find one fast, and move on. She was impatient enough as it was, but holding someone up, even if the volunteered, was a different kind of uncomfortable for her.

The young man simply shrugged, himself considering that his own constitution might be the problem. But it didn't matter too much, as long as it got him from place to place as he needed. "I wasn't even aware that you had a Deoxys." Now that he thought about it, it seemed like many of the people he knew were getting their hands on legendaries... Whether they wanted it or not. Then again, pokemon like that all probably had their own reasons for being out in the world.
He watched as the athletic girl swung down from the tree she'd been inspecting, her attention entirely set on finding the eggs she was searching for. "Yeah, I hit the road almost as soon as it started, I think. I had some... delays, though, so I've only just now finished it." Now that he didn't have anywhere to be, Zero himself wasn't in any rush, but he was well aware of the urgency for Ajicka. He tapped the ground beneath him with his foot, getting Nevermoor's attention before he sent her out to search as well, the flat, black mass spreading out unnoticed in the black of the night.

Ajicka shrugged. "I don't 'have' him, so much as he follows me around," she replied absently. The conversation felt familiar, though... Who else had she talked to about this? She couldn't even recall. Shaking it off, she kicked some rocks around and listened for Zero's answer, frowning a little. She realized, she actually had no idea how long ago it had started. She'd only heard about it a while ago, and set out once she had, but... Hm. "Yeah? You didn't get jumped by any of those teams in any of the regions, did you?" she asked, leaning down to move some more rocks. She glanced up as Eelektross came slithering over, an egg in hand, and reached out for it while, finally, turning to look back at Zero. At least she was willing to wait for an actual response to the current conversation, before preparing to jump on her charizard again, and head off to the next spot. Only four more to go...

The silver-haired trainer hummed in response, knowing how that sort of thing is. Even Nevermoor was somewhat questionable on his part, considering the only reason he had her in a pokeball was due to her whims. Then again, he couldn't exactly complain. "No, I don't think I-" Zero stopped to correct himself, suddenly remembering what he saw in Goldenrod City. Then again, he was surprised he'd even forgotten the sight of grown men in criminal uniforms brazenly crawling around the ground, searching for Easter eggs right beside some very oblivious kids. "...Well, actually, I guess you could say that everyone's in the spirit for an egg hunt." His gaze lowered to the girl's feet as they spoke, noticing a colorful orb suddenly rising up out of the ground. It was difficult, but he realized that her shadow was now distorted, warped by Nevermoor's presence, as she placed the object below her. A white hand then tapped the back of her leg, before retreating back into the darkness, and then promptly hopping right back into Zero's shadow.

Ajicka quirked an eyebrow and stared at Zero, her free hand on her hip, the other holding the egg Eelektross had brought to her. She waited for him to finish whatever cut off thought he'd had, and narrowed her eyes quizzically when he did. "What, they try and steal from you?" she asked, then paused, waving a dismissive hand. "Never mind. I--" She stopped and blinked, looking down when she felt something hit the back of her leg. She pivoted and turned, looking down, and frowning when she saw an egg. That.... definitely hadn't been there before. Her hand tightened a bit on the one she already had in hand.
After a moment of staring, she looked up to Zero, pointing at the extra egg on the ground. "Did you see where that came from?" she asked, then, after another pause, shook her head once more, "Nevermind. C'mon, I need to head to some resort thing next." She put her egg away, leaving the mysterious one on the ground where it had appeared, and turning to call Jas over. She recalled the other pokemon (thanking Eelektross as she did) and made sure Zero was ready, before climbing up onto her mega charizard, and urging him to take off. Four more-- so close.

The young man shook his head, crossing his arms over each other as his new companion seemed curious at what he meant. Or at least, so it seemed, before that curiosity faded quickly as it came. She dismissed the conversation before he could further elaborate, and brought her gaze down to the egg that Nevermoor had brought to her. Just a little too late, he guessed. She moved to question him about the item's sudden appearance, but her impatience seemed to be urging her forward, as Ajicka once again dismissed the thought and elected to move on ahead. He could only glance down and shrug at the legendary below him, and follow her lead by getting back atop his own Charizard. "The Hano Grand Hotel, I believe the name was. It's nice enough but finding anything on the beach is rather time-consuming."

At Wild Ponies, or whatever it was called, Zak moved to find some shade. He leaned against one of the trees and pulled up Scarlett's message, his irritation at Meebus still rubbing at him. Hopefully her response could help lighten his mood a bit....
Text to Zak:
s**t, I knew mushrooms didn't go with tea.... The rabbit convinced me otherwise. Does this mean I can expect you to appear out of thin air with that cheshire grin of yours?
Haha but in all seriousness, these mushrooms are everywhere, so I wouldn't be surprised if the spores were having some weird effect. I'm getting out of here.
She always took jokes a little too far for his taste -- she took everything a little too far, it seemed, though -- but usually, she was smart enough to make them flattering. This sort of fell in line with that. He would have preferred she just acknowledge his humor and compliment it, rather than play along so strongly, but... What, was he trying to pick out her flaws now? To, what, point out negative points? Or so that he could forgive them and accept it... Or was he jsut being nitpicky as always? He frowned. Well, now he was just overthinking things too...

Sighing, Zak put his sunglasses back up and rubbed his eyes. ********, this was so much more complicated than it needed to be. Than it should have been. Scarlett was just a girl -- a girl -- that he had managed to get under his thumb in a bizarre twist of a deal. It wasn't any more than that. It couldn't be. She was a girl. And when she wasn't making his blood boil, one way or another, it was easy to think of her like that. Unappealing, in the way women just were to him. But as soon as she opened her mouth, shot a smirk, whipped up a quip, made a challenge.... He pressed his fingers into his eyes. What the hell...

Jerking his hand down, Zak decided to just reply to the damn message. He didn't need to overthink this. He could just let it be. Whatever it was, he'd just... let it be. Things would happen, stuff would occur, whatever. He looked off to the side. There was no point wasting time thinking and worrying and getting frustrated. With this new resolve, he looked back down, finally typing out a response to Scarlett.
Text to Scarlett:
Very funny, Mishka.
Perhaps. If I happen to swing by on my training, I'll let you know. Unless the fairies kidnap me.
How's your progress on the egg front?

At least he was doing his part to contribute to the continuation of the conversation, sort of. He was at least checking in with her on what she was doing, even if it hadn't been that long. Not to mention, he was being... congenial. Perhaps not as flirty or playful as some of their conversations, but he was still joking some. He put away the communicator, though, and decided to help look for an egg, since his pokemon hadn't found any yet.

Surprisingly, this time, Zak actually found the egg. It wasn't that hard, but his pokemon must have overlooked it. "Sotnik, Totodile, eizer of you want a break?" he offered. He was tempted to recall Meebus, but honestly, the ghost seemed to be the one in charge of everything, and who -- oohhhh so surprisingly -- seemed to knwo where a lot of the eggs were. Seriously, Zak didn't know what his deal was, but....
When none of his pokemon seemed eager to be recalled -- Totodile just stood there, dancing and cackling -- he recalled the water type. He'd let Boo out in the next location, and headed off for the next spot.

Still annoyed as she flew towards Poni Island, Scarlett was thankful that at least she was almost finished with this egg hunt. There were four more eggs to go, then she could go relax in Iki Town and enjoy the luau, festivities, and rewards. As her wrist buzzed however with another reply from Zak, Scarlett was reminded that she still had that other message from him to look at. How was he replying so damn fast? Maybe he was more focused on her than getting eggs, and if that was the case, she supposed she shouldn't be annoyed.

As she landed in Poni Wilds, Scarlett let Dotty out to go egg hunting. She didn't need to brief the solosis, she already knew what she was doing after all. It wasn't hard to pick up that she was on egg duty now that Vandal was out of commission. Scarlett was frankly surprised that the zoroark hadn't come out of his pokeball yet just to gripe at her, or maybe he'd finally learned how that didn't do him any favors. If so, Scarlett was relieved, because that meant she didn't have to deal with it any more.

Well, she supposed she'd put it off long enough. Glancing down at her communicator, Scarlett opened the next message up, giving it a look.
They must be. When did you get to be an expert on mushrooms, Lisichka? Or are you one of those people who has a little bit of information on everything?
Scarlett smirked some at that. She supposed she didn't think about it often, but comparatively she did pick up on a lot of things and frequently. Fun facts, little bits of information here and there. Who knew when they could come in handy? She couldn't do anything like explain in detail the entire reproductive system of a mushroom but she knew enough to know how it opened up pores and released spores into the air like a bunch of little seeds that planted themselves into the ground and grew more mushrooms. That's why mushroom patches tended to spread like a virus.

The question was however, how was she going to answer him? She liked the idea of bragging and flaunting her abilities, and she certainly wanted to at least seem useful, but at the same time she didn't want to completely give away all of her skills. She liked being able to surprise people too. Having the element of surprise was particularly fun after all.
I was under the impression it was common knowledge. Did you sleep through biology classes a stór, or did you just let everything go in one ear and out the other?
Scarlett smirked as she sent the text. A little prodding never hurt, and it somewhat dismissed her knowledge as common, but clearly Zak didn't remember or know, nor really care to know until it became important. Unfortunately, that line of thinking frequently caused people to start caring when it was already too late. Scarlett wasn't like that. She strived to learn everything, no matter how odd or useless the information may seem, she made note of it. She tended to retain knowledge like a sponge, soaking it all in. She didn't forget. There were many things burned into her memory, some more than others. Like the faces of the ungrateful archeologists who mocked her father. Men he had once acknowledged as friends and associates, people he had introduced her to. She had listened as they made comments behind his back, and watched as they said Sean got what he deserved after he died. They were all snakes, and she was a vengeful b***h who would enjoy killing them off one by one.
