With the aid of Zoey, eventually Tay came to relinquish the Pokemon she'd caught to the taller woman who'd come to offer her services as to find a new home for said Pokemon. Though her heart wavered and the back of her mind lingered on those Pokemon Tay had come to understand as best she could, what the two older trainers were telling her. Rushing off to continue training, the young teen left Avikna and Zoey to continue their talking.
Avikna was ever one to relish a challenge. Zoey looked to be strong by her own rights, both physically and perhaps even mentally. But it was more or less her Pokemon that Avikna wanted to size up. However, the time and place... just wasn't right. Avikna extended her arm in a shake, expressing her want to battle the woman. Returning the firm shake of the hand, Avikna replied with a grin of her own. "Until next time, then." Avikna stated. Though she was unaware as to when or how they'd meet again, it would be something to look forward to indeed. With that, it was time they parted ways. Zoey was right to release Avikna, as Tay was straying just a bit to far away for her liking. "Right. She's a handful, but I know she has potential to do great things." With a light chuckle the red-head stepped away, waving a hand in the air with a quick glance back. "See ya."
None on Avikna's team would suggest Nijrn was all to bright, at least when it came to choosing proper times or places to be her jesting self. Well, it really was never the right time for that part of the Dragon. But despite that, Nijrn's redeeming quality was her honesty, however brutal at times. "The totems don't seem all that tough." Nijrn mentioned, though she hadn't really been paying much attention to Avikna and Tay's previous battles as of recently. She was still kinda lost in that weird dreamy world they'd been to in their sleep. Though as Piper mentioned the trial captain of a jungle being 'challenging' it perked the bat's interest. Despite her stutter and nervousness, Nijrn felt Piper wasn't a push over. So to hear it had been a challenge made her wonder what kind of person they'd fought. "A Challenge you say? Hmm, I look forward to it, I'm sure Avikna would too if she heard that." Nijrn replied. "Yea, she is pretty strong." Swishing her tail some, the bat added in a grin. "But don't worry, she's only prone to punching bad people."
But then, like that, their conversation was drawing to a close. After their talk about the region and their duties to the team, Piper came to mention it being time for them to go. Nijrn noticed Avikna walking away from Piper's trainer to rejoin Tay who was already halfway up the path to the Volcano. "Yea, looks that way." Looking back to Piper, Nijrn nodded. "Yea, sure. I'm always down to spar. Until then, later Feraligatr." Turning around, it took only a quick leap into the air and few strong beats of her wings before Nijrn was ascending back into the air. She stayed close to the ground for a bit before finally finding an updraft to push her back up to Mave's level.

They would be challenging opponents, that much was certain, though the older woman had no intentions of slacking on her own training while she was off and away elsewhere in the world. She nodded affirmatively as Avikna returned the hearty shake, though it was probably about time she got after Tay before she ended up straying too far ahead. A soft laugh escaped the older woman at Avikna’s comments, agreeing wholeheartedly that the teen certainly would be able to accomplish great things once she could settle on what she wanted to be as a trainer. Zoey watched as the other redhead stepped away, waving to her with a momentary over-the-shoulder glance as she bid farewell. ”Definitely,” she returned, flashing a peace sign after the woman as she turned to follow after her teenage companion.
Piper cast a curious glance towards Nijrn as the blue Noivern said that the Totems don’t seem all that tough, and she was inclined to agree with the other on that as she recalled how easily the Totem of Lush Jungle had fallen to Eir after only a couple of attacks. Then again, it seemed like the challenge of these trials lay more in the battles against the trial captains themselves as opposed to the Totem Pokemon from what Piper had observed thus far. When she spoke of their battle against Mallow, Nijrn seemed to take a bit of interest as she remarked she would look forward to it, and that she was sure Avikna would too if she heard how challenging the captain of Lush Jungle was.”W-Well I wish y-you and your trainer th-the best of luck,”she chirped, offering a smile to the other. The air was hot, and dry, which would have been a relief if the sun's final moments in the sky weren't it's most brutal. Honestly, Fi had no idea how long the kid had been up here, and whether he'd fallen asleep in the shade, or whether he'd been exposed the whole time, but she was already feeling an awful lot like a roast chicken in the oven. Her hair was starting to stick to her face a bit, and it had only been five or ten minutes since Ches went running off ahead. She could see the town up ahead, getting closer. If you could call it a town. She supposed it was more of a rest stop, but it had a pokecenter, and that was all that mattered. They may have specialized in pokemon care, but surely they could help people, too, or at least get them to where they needed to be, faster.
As she finally approached the outskirts of Royal Avenue, she saw Ches bounding closer, and felt some of the tension flood from her shoulders and back. Running behind him was a concerned looking Nurse Joy, and while her frame was hardly that of a machamp, Fi was pretty sure the two of them could get him the rest of the distance.
