Ajicka walked onto route 8 while on her phone. Jas had graciously taken them some of the way, but she figured they could walk the rest of it, and let him return to resting in his pokeball. ZK walked skeptically beside her, eying her weirdly chill demeanor. Was she... texting? Usually she was strutting ahead, on a mission, but this time, she stopped short as she finished the message, before turning to look at him.
"Did you choose at least one of the pokemon you're picking? I need you to help me catch mine, and it'll be good practice for you," she decided, folding her arms over her chest. ZK shifted in discomfort, eyed her, then swept around for some indication as to what she was here for. "Yeah, I mean.... maybe. What kind of pokemon is it?" he asked. He didn't quite notice the small smile that flickered across her face. "Bug. And water," she replied, before jerking her head for him to follow. There was a large area, full of holes and escape routes, where a few pokemon could be seen scuttling along. "One of those," she clarified. ZK stared at the group, before reaching over, and grabbing one of the pokeballs off her waist. She flinched back with a flush of discomfort, before glaring at him, and taking the whole belt off, and handing it over. "Don't touch me," she snapped. He ignored her, though, before releasing Murkrow, and nodding for the pokemon to quickly dart over, and start picking at the wild pokemon.

ZK scowled as the pokemon suddenly fled, and Murkrow was left looking startled. "What the hell?" the disguised zoroark growled, hands balled into fists as he and Ajicka stood at the rim of the dip where all the wimpod seemed to be flitting through. "That's it's ability," Ajicka remarked nonchalantly, pulling out her communicator, "Once it gets below... like half it's health, it flees." She could practically hear the growl in the back of the zoroark's throat as he turned on her. "So let me get this right, I'm catching you a pokemon, and it runs away as soon as I get it low enough on health to actually catch?" he seethed. Something else occurred to him as he said it. "And why would you want a coward pokemon anyway?"
Ajicka just shrugged. "It's a tactical choice. Look, just hit it soft, then hit it hard. Maybe use a stronger pokemon or switch out or something. Here-- Murkrow's looking rough," she added, tossing him some potions. ZK grimaced, but caught them, calling Murkrow back to heal it up, while he figured out his tactics. At least he could stand back and shout out instructions, and not risk scaring the apparently very wimpy pokemon back into their dens....

Ajicka raised her eyebrows as she heard a 'ding' of a successful catch and looked up from her communicator. She finished the message to the Veilstone pokecenter and put the device away. "Huh.... nice job," she remarked, holding a hand up as Murkrow grabbed the ball and carried it back, dropping it into her grasp. Fritz hurriedly bounded up and out of the wide dip where the wimpod were scurrying around. Far less often now, given all the battling that had occurred. ZK gave a wolfish grin, but frowned when Ajicka leaned down to pet Fritz, instead. "Anyway, come on. I want to get at least one more pokemon before we do anything else, and we're going to have to fly there." She released Jas again, who bellowed a greeting to the other pokemon, startling Fritz and earning a passive return from Murkrow. She gestured for ZK to recall them both, before moving to climb up on her starter. "Place better be close," the Zoroark drawled, following suit. "It's not," was the simple response he got, before Jas took off with a powerful beat of his wings.
