Takumi released Tzut, who flitted from fence to fence as they walked around the ranch. He was greatful for the company, seeing that Nala was preoccupied. He felt a twinge of jealousy, but Hauhani was his, so he didn’t mind too much. "You don't want to join them?" he asked Tzut. The bird stared at him with his naturally narrowed eyes, but there was no answer there. It had to be found in the way Tzut stayed by his side.

Takumi stayed longer than he had expected, enduring the hot patina of dust that had collected on his sweating skin. He felt instinctively that there was something rebellious about being here, though no matter how much he compared it to his home he couldn't pinpoint exactly why. Still, it kept him there even as his discomfort grew. But that could only go so far, especially in the wake of his stomach protesting the abuse of a missed lunch. And so Takumi set back down the path, dreaming despite his thoughts of a cool shower and his soft queen bed back in the room.

Staring at cow pokemon wasn’t going to find them an egg though and so Cheri ducked her way under the fence and led the way to begin the search, much to Noah’s surprise. He was certain that if there was a fence blocking them off they weren’t supposed to be going in there. That didn’t seem to stop the pink fluff ball though and after a moment of hesitation, he gave squeak of his own and followed.

Noah was the lucky one, finding an egg in one of the stacks triumphantly cheering as he held it up. His cries agitated a nearby Tauros though, which watched him with a leery gaze. The Dewott froze and stared at the bull a moment, slowly shrinking away a bit and trying to quietly escape with the egg. The bull seemed to let it slide and he regrouped with Cheri, returning to where Dova was to head off to the next direction.

Huey did his best to keep, at the very least, one flower tucked behind his ear. It was difficult though, especially with the air moving past them like it did, but by pressing his ear against the stem of the flower, he managed to keep one in his hair. The rest were pulled away by the air and then fell to the ground. It was almost pretty, but Huey still couldn’t help but to feel bad. These flowers had been picked by Cloud, and then given to him.

Huey managed to keep his one flower, and held onto it as they landed in Paniola ranch. There was certainly a bit of hustle and bustle going around here, with trainers dressed up as cowboys leading strange horse-like pokemon through the area, or tending to Milktank and Tauros. It was an interesting sight to see, and Huey made sure to take it all in before he started his search.

Because of how busy it was, Huey figured it was good idea to keep his search party as small as possible. With this in mind, he let out only Prim and then allowed her to go about as she pleased. She was pretty agile, and was wise enough to keep to the air rather than the ground, considering all the traffic that was happening below. His pokemon sent out, Huey made sure to keep Cloud close and safe, which meant holding him in his arms and not allowing him to wander around on the ground. He was far too small for that. Huey wasn’t exactly sure where to start looking, there were so many potential hiding areas, but eventually he decided to start with a hay pile. Careful not to disturb too many folk or pokemon, he sorted through the thousand of hay sticks to try and find his single egg; much better than trying to find a needle. He was still searching, becoming increasingly frustrated, when he felt a tap on his shoulder and turned to see Prim holding out an egg. Oh! Well, hey! That was good!

Walking along the fence of the ranch, Tay was taken in by the many slow moving Miltank and Tauros which roamed the fenced in field. Avikna in the meantime kept an eye on the area before them. Since seeing the worn wooden fences, the red-head had had an odd feeling in the back of her mind. This was place was familiar. It wasn't until they reached what looked like a building that she finally put two and two together. "We have been here." She stated to herself. Tay looked back with a smile, hopping down from the fence to join Avikna. "We have?" She inquired, smiling brightly. "Yea.... we were here a while ago during that egg hunt." Avikna explained. It was some time ago, but the memories of their short time here started to come back. She just hoped that man from last time didn't recognize them. Luckily for Avikna, it seemed there was no unwanted attention from the opposite sex, rather of the human kind. As they passed a particular area of the ranch, two Tauros who'd been butting heads seemed to glance their way at the same time. Pokemon, it seemed had a pretty decent memory themselves. "Bucko and Bronco!" Tay called out to them. Seemed Tay had a good memory also. Rushing to the fence, the two Tauros charged forward, both coming to a halt at the fence, raising their noses for Tay to pat. "You've grown so big! Just like me!" She smiled.

During the egg hunt, while Tay had entered the field and Avikna had stayed behind, the young teen had come across two newly hatched Tauros twins. She made fast friends with the newborns, who were eager to stretch out their legs and play. Tay, in her determination had found the egg and returned to Avikna, but she never truly forgot her first Tauros friends. The two at one point had barely reached Tay's hip in height but now they were two stood just as tall as Tay. As Tay scratched her old friends, they started to back away, shaking their heads and hooving the ground. "Oh-huh?" Tay was notably confused. "Hmm, looks like they want to battle." Avikna explained as she joined Tay at the fence. Tay grew a look of excitement at Avikna's words. "Is it okay, Avikna?" She asked. Asking more or less if it was okay to delay their travels for a quick little battle, more so than if it was okay to battle someone elses Pokemon without their permission. "It's fine." Jumping over the fence, Tay was joined by Elias and Freya, mostly because they were the only two who could easily get over the fence, poor Tethe had to get up on his hind legs and use the fence to support his front end so he could see through the fence. Avikna joined the Ivysaur at the edge of the fence and watched as Tay got into her own little fighting stance. "Okay, Freya let's start with Electric Terrain!" Tay called out, "Elias use Energy Ball!" Of course Tay didn't want to really hurt her old friends, so she avoided using Elias' super strong Gunk Shot and instead opted for the ball of green energy that the bird quickly summoned up as Freya set the stage with a quick use of her move Electric Terrain, with her tail, the psychic mouse used it to ride the electrical currents now charging the earth at their feet. She was a touch wobbly at it, given only recently evolving. Despite her best effort, the mouse could avoid a half horn attack half headbutt combo by Bucko. Elias, far more nimble in the air, instead received a rather scary look from Bronco.
This didn't deter Elias however, as another Energy Ball put Bronco out of the battle. Freya on the other hand took to the offensive, rushing forward with an electrically charged fist. Thanks to the electric terrain her speed and power were outmatched and Bucko didn't stand a chance. With that the two Tauros were beaten. Both recovered quickly however as Tay approached thanking them for the battle. Sparing a few potions and the two where just about right as rain once more. Thankfully neither took any serious hits so it looked like just their pride was hurt for the most part. "Get stronger and stronger and I'll come back and fight you again someday!" Tay grinned. "I want to have a really hard battle too!" She stated. Giving the twins one more quick hug, the teen joined Avikna and Tethe once more. Satisfied the duo continued onward, this time heading north towards Route 5.
