He had put the sleeping Cosmog1 in his backpack, and as he pulled out his phone to call Adder, looked up at an odd sound. Huh... It was familiar, and he thought he recognized it, but when he looked around, he didn't see what he expected. He frowned slightly, before making the call. He wasn't even really sure what he'd talk to Drey about, and he'd almsot forgot why he was calling him in the first place, but it was something to do as he strode around and hunted for eggs.

Straightening up, Adder adjusted the phone. "You doing something?" he asked. "Just reading. How goes the pokedex search? Catch anything interesting?" Drey returned, that warmth returning to his voice. Whatever he'd been doing, he likely stopped at Adder's observation. The tween shifted a bit, then gave a shrug, even though he knew there was no way for Drey to see it. "Not really.... though there is this annoying pokemon I caught that won't let go of me," he added, giving an annoyed glance down. He felt Cling tighten slightly, and quickly reached up to try and tug at him. No way he was letting him do that on his neck! It was freaking dangerous!

He heard Drey chuckle a little. "Oh yeah? What kind of pokemon is it?" he asked. Adder frowned, lowering his hand from the noodle. "A klow," he answered somberly. "Klow? Never heard of it. Must be rare, huh?" Drey remarked, clearly a bit entertained by this. "Why? 'Cause you've never heard of it?" Adder retorted confrontationally. Drey exhaled in a way that suggested he took no offense, but was smiling wryly. "Because if it's a pokemon that clings to people, I think I would have heard of it," he replied. ".... Oh. Well, I dunno if it's that normal for it's species," he replied, looking down thoughtfully. He glanced up when he heard Pichu and Charmander calling for him, the two wrestling over an egg. He sighed, but he felt an excitement grow in his chest. "Hey, I gotta go. Talk to you later, alright?" he proposed. "Sure. Talk to you later. Love you, li'l bro." Adder paused. "... Mm." He hung up, then strode over, snatching the egg from between the two. "Good job, guys," he complimented uniformly, looking it over, "Now we can finally go back to Iki Town..."

"Isis," was Zero's only response, just as blunt as Ajicka's question had been. Whatever sort of expression he had on his face seemed to evaporate momentarily, as the young man glanced off towards the ocean. Evidently, his trip around the world hadn't completely mellowed him out on the subject, only now being abruptly reminded of the time he'd spent waiting in the dark. He didn't seem interested in elaborating from there, but his previous demeanor returned as he elaborated on his actual reasons for the hunt itself.
Things moved along quicker from there, as the brunette clearly desired to continue moving forward now that she had the egg. He had an idea of the route she was taking for Alola--The reverse of his own, it seemed--so he only nodded as she made note of their next destination. Even Ashen seemed to realize that they were retracing their steps to follow Ajicka, and sped up as they flew from place to place. It didn't take too long for them to completely close the distance to their destination, allowing Zero to hop off his flying-type without issue.

Ajicka landed with momentum, walking a few steps before she could stop and look around. She hadn't missed Zero's change in demeanor back there, and she wasn't sure whether to bring the subject up again, or let it rest. It wasn't so much that she cared, but she'd messaged Isis too, and hadn't gotten a response, and she was sort of curious what the girl was up to. Battling gyms maybe?

She wasn't sure she could be around the guy if he was still killing himself slowly through personal neglect. For the briefest instant, Zero was entirely caught off-guard. It took all his willpower to respond to her accusation properly, but instead his body moved first, turning to the side and covering his mouth, as grin flashed over his lips. Laughter was hardly held back in his throat, having not at all expected that to come out of her. "N-No, of course not." It took far too much energy for him to recompose himself, and suppress that grinning laughter he felt coming on. "I've at least sampled the foods from the places I've been, when the opportunity arises."
Unfortunately, the tone of the conversation grew far less aloof once the topic shifted again, as Zero elaborated on his companion's whereabouts. He simply shrugged at her response, guessing that the two girls didn't exactly talk too much since they last met either. Whether or not they were okay, though, he resumed his primary responses. "They were still in Olivine, last I checked. It's one of the egg stops, so Nova checked for them while we were over there. Seems like they're still enjoying each other's company." Ajicka stared at Zero. Her eyes narrowed into skeptical slits, watching his reaction. What.... What was so funny about that? She relaxed, letting him enjoy it, even if she didn't get the joke, and folded her arms over her chest. She looked at him, nodding a bit as he actually answered. At first, she wasn't sure if he was being serious, especially since he still seemed to be struggling not to laugh, but his clarification bought her over a bit more. "Good. You have to stay in good health," she replied back, serious as ever. Houndoom, who had been looking nearby, had paused at the exchange, and looked over at the two, a bit deadpanned at his trainer's.... exceptional inability to lighten up. He turned and trotted off, spotting an egg, and scooping it up in his maw, only to look over at the gardevoir nearby. What was she looking for....
Ajicka nodded a little as Zero explained, and decided to drop it there. The guy clarified and answered her questions, she'd let the subject go. It obviously wasn't one he appreciated. "Got it. I take it you've been getting that eighth badge you mentioned and everything?" she asked, providing a slight subject change.

Nova continued to watch the exchange between trainers, watching her own from a distance as she prepared to emerge properly. Or at least, such was her plan, until she noticed the Houndoom watching her. As she turned to look at him, the colorful orb she held in her hand came into view, a mirror to the egg the fire-type was holding. She looked between her own egg, the fire-type's, and Ajicka a few times, before she remembered the chill that went up her spine when they worried that the Gardevoir was trying to help. She seriously considered slinking off out of its view and swallowing the egg whole, (destroying the evidence) but just decided to do work with the latter, using her psychic abilities to float out of view and simply hold onto the egg while she could.
Back with the trainers, meanwhile, Zero didn't hesitate to move on from the previous topic. "Yeah, got it right after she went off, actually," he elaborated, nodding. "To be honest I haven't been too sure what to do after the fact, since it's not like I need badges for other regions for obedience or anything..."
