Quickly heading into the Pokemon Center, Tay was eagerly gaining Nurse Joy's attention so she could get Freya and the rest of her team looked at. Avikna in the meantime took to sitting on a nearby couch, starting absently at a poster on the wall. From her ball, Mave emerged yawning with an unnecessary volume before she turned her head towards Avikna. 'You certainly maintained your cool back there, hmm?' The wolf mocked. Avikna didn't respond, visually... Mentally the red-head was staring daggers at an image of Mave. 'Yea, gotta keep your emotions in check with Tay around. Unlike what you did in that dreamscape.' This got Avikna's attention. The red-head turned her gaze to Mave giving the wolf a deadpan stare. Sitting down the wolf looked away, waving her tail some as Tay started back to join Avikna. "Nurse Joy says Freya, Elias and Tethe just need some rest. We can keep going after she's done giving them a look over." Tay announced. Sitting down beside Avikna, Tay collected Mave's head into her arms and gently pet her long white fur. "Avikna... Are... are there a lot of those people in this world?" Tay knew the answer to this question already, but... she asked anyway. "There are." Avikna replied. Her tone was blunt, but there was no need to lie. "And there are people like you." The red-head continued. "Kind and honest." Avikna continued, gazing over to Tay.
Turning her attention to Avikna, Tay smiled wide. "Then I'm just like you." the teen replied. Avikna couldn't hide her shock... she hadn't quite expected that response. "You can be scary sometimes, but you're also really nice, and I think you only act scary to keep mean people away." Avikna's eyes widened a bit; mave couldn't hide her snickers after that comment. The red-head looked away, thinking on this. Well, Tay was dead wrong.. but, no... maybe? Maybe there was a bit of truth in that. Tay gave a look of confusion at Avikna's response, but before she could say anything else she heard her name called. Her team was healed up and ready to go.

With everyone set to go, Tay called Freya out and collected the mouse in her arms. Though she could now float, the familiarity of being held was nice for the Raichu. Tethe and Elias trailed behind ready to step in and take on any foe that came their way. Avikna herself let Mave stay out of her ball, letting the wolf join Nijrn in the sky. Avikna flashed an approving smile towards Nijrn as the group exited the Pokemon center, and swiftly headed north towards the next route. They didn't make it far before a couple of Mudbray's appeared on the road before them. One looked as though it had something wrapped around it's neck, while the other was simply startled by the first. Avikna tightened up, quickly looking over to Tay who held a shocked expression in her eyes. "You need to calm them down." Avikna voiced, figuring her own Pokemon might be to strong for this situation. Tay on the other hand had two Grass-types perfect for the occasion. The teen quickly looked up at Avikna and after a moment nodded. "Elias, Tethe!" She spoke. No specific orders were needed, they both knew from dealing with Yermean what was effective in calming down these mule-like ponies. Elias aimed a Energy Ball towards the one with something wrapped on it's neck, while Tethe used his vines to try and calm the other one. The first Mudbray fell, but the second managed to swerve away from the forceful grip of Tethe's vines, getting in a kick at some rocks that showered over Tethe. Calling forth another Energy ball, Elias managed to calm the second Mudbray.
"Good gracious!" A voice haulered from nearby. "That dern Mudbray at it again?!" It continued. Soon a stoutly man emerged from a nearby building and quickly crossed the dirt road to the Mudbray with upon closer inspection turned out to be a ring of hay. "Always gettin' into trouble." The male continued as he pulled away the hay. Once that was done he looked up to find the saviors of his little Pokemon. "Thank yeh, little miss. Here, have this as thanks for stoppin' my boys." He stated, holding forward something in his open palm. Looking back at Avikna, the red-head nodded her approval. "It was nothing, mister. Anything to help." Tay explained, reaching forward her hand. "I'll hear nothin' of it. Most folk would just walk on by. 'not their problem' they'd say." He continued. "You must be on the island challenge, hmm? Well then you'll be needin' these." He added, dumping what was in his hand into Tay's. "Those are Heart scales, and that purply one is a Eviolite, good at boosting the defense of Pokemon who've yet to reach their final evolution." Tay's eyes widened with excitement upon seeing the handful of heartscales she'd obtained. She knew just what those were, the Eviolite however... was something new. Thinking for a moment on what the man said, she in the end knelled down beside Tethe and offered him two of the heart scales and placed the Eviolite in between the petals of his flower, keeping it nice as safe until he evolved. If he choose to that is.

With the Mudbray settled, and the path cleared the two girls were able to finally set forth outside of the town. It wasn't long before the air grew so dry that the grass around them seemed to shift from a lush green to a more yellow colour. In a way it almost looked like fields of gold wafting through the warm island breeze.
