☆ ☆【Morning seemed to come all too soon, and as much as Zoey would’ve preferred to sleep in a little longer it was clear that Eir wasn’t going to have any of it. The Alolan Ninetales sat on the pillow next to her trainer, insistently blowing puffs of ice cold air onto the woman’s face.”Hey hey! Zoey, I’m hungry! Get up already!”she huffed impatiently, more than eager to get going to breakfast and why the heck wasn’t her trainer waking up right now?! The Ninetales considered summoning a miniature concentrated hailstorm over the woman’s head using her Snow Warning, whatever it would take to get Zoey up and moving. Before Orpheus could try to interject and stop Eir from possibly doing something that could be potentially dangerous, the woman sighed as she gently pushed the Ninetales away from her and sat up in the bed. ”Aight, aight, I’m up already, just cool yer jets will ya?” she growled irritably, rubbing at her eyes as the morning light momentarily stung them before they adjusted to the brightness of the room.”My apologies, Fraulein, I did try to stop her but she was very… persistent,”Orpheus spoke up, standing by Zoey’s side of the bed with her bag in hand. Muttering a quiet ‘Thank you’ under her breath, she accepted it, rummaging around for a set of clean clothes for the day. Ultimately she decided on a pair of dark grey shorts with a black t-shirt depicting a Magikarp and Gyarados with the words ‘No pain, no gain’ on it, a Christmas present she had received from Bronte a couple of years ago. ”Give me at least five more minutes, then we’ll head to breakfast,” she said, fully standing up from the bed and heading for the bathroom to change in private.”Don’t take too long, okaaaay?”Eir called after her, the Ninetales wanting to get going already and slightly annoyed at having to wait for so much longer. The woman just paid it no mind, not really in the right mood to deal with the fox’s childishness at the moment. ”Mornin’ Coltrane,” Zoey said quickly with a small smile, not having noticed the Rockruff sitting vigilantly by the door until she was heading into the bathroom.
The Rockruff gave a lopsided smile as he turned his head to look at her, wagging his tail happily in greeting.”Morning mit- miss Zoey!”he yipped back, watching as she disappeared into the bathroom and shut the door behind her. Roughly four minutes later, Zoey reemerged clothed in her choice of outfit for the day, her still drying clothes from yesterday, sleeping outfit, and what remained of the soap and shampoo she had used clutched in hand.”Feeling a little better now, Fraulein?”Orpheus asked, smiling warmly as he once again handed her bag to her. Zoey simply hummed and nodded in answer, feeling a bit more refreshed after changing into clean clothes and splashing her face with a bit of water to wake herself up. Arranging all the stuff from the bathroom into her bag and wrapping her still damp clothes in a plastic bag, Zoey slung the bag over her shoulder.”I have also taken the liberty of straightening out the bed as well as packing your devices and chargers into your bag, so do not worry about having to take care of those,”the Zoroark chipped in, earning a bright grin from the woman as she patted his arm. ”Thanks, Orph, good to know ya got things covered, otherwise I might’ve just plain forgotten ‘em,” she said with a chuckle, gesturing for her Pokemon to come as she opened the door leading out of the room, ”Let’s get goin’ to breakfast then, got a long day ahead of us so we better fuel up.”
”Finally!”Eir piped up, already pushing her way out of the door the moment it was opened with Coltrane hurrying to keep up with her. Zoey chuckled softly as the Ninetales and Rockruff ran down the hall ahead of them, Orpheus easily keeping pace alongside the woman as they headed for the café area. A sizable continental breakfast was laid out for them, toast, eggs, different kinds of cereals, premade batter for waffles, the whole works. Zoey released all of her other Pokemon so everyone could partake, gesturing towards the breakfast buffet. ”Get as much as ya’ll like, don’t be afraid to pile those plates high,” she suggested with a nod, moving to fix plates for Eir and Coltrane, ”What would ya both like?” She already knew very well what the Ninetales wanted even before she blurted it out.”Waffles! A huge stack of them!”the ice fox chirruped, true to form as Zoey had predicted. It was really no surprise, given how much Eir liked her sweets. ”Aight, but yer takin’ some eggs n’ bacon with those waffles too, gotta have at least some protein to balance out all that sugar,” she said with a stern glance, pouring some batter into the waffle iron to get those started and forking some eggs and a few strips of bacon onto the Ninetales’s plate. Eir puffed her cheeks out a bit at that, but otherwise made no attempt to argue as the plate of eggs and bacon was handed down to her first. Bacon and eggs were definitely far from bad, and she gladly tucked in while she waited for her waffles to cook.
”Uh… I think jut- just s-some eggs and bacon is fine, but if they have anything elt- else for meats I’ll take that too, please,”Coltrane spoke up, his request translated by Eir as he waited patiently for his portion. Zoey happily piled a plate high with eggs, bacon, and ham, setting it at the Rockruff’s feet just as the timer went off for the first of Eir’s waffles. Meanwhile, Orpheus assisted Viola and Freya with preparing their plates since they were the few of the group who lacked any actual hands to do so.”And what would you pair of beautiful dames like?”he asked politely, grabbing a couple of plates as he spoke.”I am not too picky when it comessss to food, I shall accept ssssome eggssss and fressssh fruit,”the Serperior spoke up, offering a gentle smile,”Thank you very much, Orpheussss, it issss very much appreciated~”Freya, on the other hand, wasn’t quite as polite as the grass snake.”Just hook me up with some fruit and that’ll do, man,”she simply said with a casual flick of her tail. Exasperated at her serpentine companion’s lack of proper manners, Viola turned towards the Milotic and narrowed her deep red eyes in a stern glare.”Honesssstly, would it kill you to at leasssst ssssay thank you? He issss doing ussss a favor by being ssssuch a gentleman, you know,”she hissed testily, even though Orpheus didn’t seem offended by it at all as he prepared Freya’s plate as well.”Sheeeesh, alright mom, if it’ll get ya off my damn back,”the Milotic conceded, figuring it wasn't worth getting into an argument with the Serperior as she offered a small smile towards the Zoroark and mustered up her best sweet, polite voice,”Thanks, Orphie~”
Seeming satisfied in spite of Freya’s mild rudeness, Viola nodded in affirmation before turning her attention towards her breakfast as it was set in front of her. Torgeir fixed up plates of eggs and breakfast meats for himself and Ingrid, rolling his eyes as the Meleeon demanded him to fill up her plate with more and more food until he decided that it was quite enough for her in spite of her protests. Jarl Reidar and Storm opted for sausages, ham, hash, and toast, the Pangoro fixing up a plate of bacon and eggs for their Torracat companion as well as they sat and ate together. Gar piled his plate high with all kinds of assorted breakfast meats, hardly bothering with any of the other options as he tucked in. Piper gathered up a medley of fresh fruit for herself, while Maja took interest in the platter of assorted donuts tucked away just next to the waffle irons. Once everyone had gotten settled and Eir had her waffles, Zoey sighed as she finally sat down with her own plate, eggs, bacon, a cup of vanilla yogurt, a blueberry muffin, and a coffee. ”Yeesh, I already feel like goin’ back to sleep, and I woke up not too long ago,” she murmured as she went for the coffee first, the caffeine would help to wake her up. Orpheus chuckled as he slid into the seat across from her, his own plate consisting of a cup of tea, a couple of scones, ham, bacon, and a bagel smeared with cinnamon cream cheese.”Quite the demanding bunch, ja?”he suggested lightly, biting into his bagel as he grinned at her,”Still, suppose you cannot help but love them~ Such is the way of a trainer, is it not?”Zoey couldn’t help but smile a bit at that, taking another draught of coffee before attacking her eggs and bacon. ”Yeah, I suppose so. It’s a hard knock life for us, but we just try n’ make the best of it. Besides, havin’ a team of strong, loyal Pokemon who’re just like family to ya is definitely more than worth the struggle,” she agreed with a nod and a light laugh, reaching in to pull out her Pokedex to check the map while she ate.
Orpheus glanced curiously at the Pokedex, humming thoughtfully as he gestured towards it.”So, Brooklet Hill is our next up and coming destination, ja? How shall we get there?”he inquired, quite intrigued to learn about this whole new island that they had to tackle now. ”Well, there’s quite a few ways to get there, Route 4 and Route 6 pretty much lead to the same place. Only thing is that Route 4 is a shortcut of sorts to Route 5, which connects to Brooklet Hill. 6 on the other hand connects Heahea to the next town over, Paniola,” she explained, tracing along the paths using the Pokedex map, ”It’s a bit of a longer path, but there’s definitely more to see there than if we take the short way. Plus it’ll give us more opportunities for trainin’ along the way as well.” The Zoroark’s brow furrowed in thought as he thought over the options, before giving a shrug and a smile.”Well in that case, I believe the judgement falls to you, Fraulein,”he said, nodding to her,”I shall gladly follow along wherever we go from here~”Zoey wasn’t entirely sure herself either, but she supposed that they could sort it out on the way there. ”We could probably just figure things out on the road,” she concluded, putting away the Pokedex in favor of finishing up her breakfast. Several minutes later, everyone had sufficiently filled up, plates were discarded before Zoey recalled all of her Pokemon save for her three musketeers who were always kept out. ”We’ll head for Route 4, we can stop by Paniola on the way for a break if we want to, but otherwise we’ll head straight for the grounds,” she suggested as they departed from the Pokemon Center, returning the room key to Nurse Joy and thanking her on the way out. Ready to start making progress towards their next trial, Zoey and her Pokemon headed for the heavily forested route leading out of Heahea and deeper into Akala.】☆ ☆

Though the girls had teleported to the event, they had opted to take the long flight back to Alola. With stops here and there to rest and take in some one-in-a-lifetime sights, it took them quite some time before finally returning to Heahea City. By this time, Tethe had grown exceptionally used to his larger, bulkier body. Going from the chilly skies above the large ocean to the warmth of the beach-side city, it was a nice change of pace to the previously cooler places they'd visited during their travels back. With two loud thuds, the girls landed outside the route to Brooklet hill. Both slid off their rides to stretch out their bodies. Mave and Arietty also took the moment of respite to stretch out. "Now that we're back here, we should continue with those trials." Avikna mentioned as she adjusted her bag. Tay turned with a nod. "Yea! I'm super excited to see what the next trial is!" Tay mused, holding her fists up to her cheeks with excitement in her eyes.
But then, seemingly out of nowhere a yawn upruptly interupted Tay's excitement. Avikna offerd a side grin, nodding her head. Looking up at the sky, they'd landed at just about Sunset. Given their haste to return to Alola, the two hadn't really stopped to properly get rest, taking in a few hour naps here and there, and usually in Avikna's makeshift tents. It would about time they took a snooze and with that the red-head motioned towards the Pokemon center's very obvious red roof. "But first, why don't we get a good nights sleep and head out first thing at sunrise?" Avikna voiced. She made it sound like Tay had an option, but the brunette noted the look in her older female companion's eyes. No, she had no choice. Even if she did she actually had no objections as another yawn caught her by surprise.
From their place, the two ventured to the Pokemon Center, grabbed a quick bite to eat then ventured to their room for the night. When all was settled and calm, the two drifted off to sleep, Tay much faster than Avikna as per the usual.

With a start, Avikna and Tay found themselves upright in bed. Outside the sun was rising, signaling it was about mid-morning. Both girls looked at one another with an odd sense of disbelief. That had all been a dream hadn't it? Avikna was first to move, swinging her legs off the side of the bed and standing with a stretch. She was nearly soaked with sweat... that had been a stressful sleep. "I'm going to go take a shower. Get ready so we can get some breakfast and start heading towards the next city." Avikna spoke as she collected her necessities and entered the bathroom. Tay nodded, pulling up her legs close to her chest.
It took a few extra moments for Tay to actually get up and get her things ready. Her body felt like jelly, and her normally perky self was rather sluggish. Her pokemon could tell, but they were oddly just as tired. Hopefully they could take things slow and get some actual rest in the next area. By the time Tay got everything together, Avikna emerged from the bathroom towel draped across her neck. Tay went in and took a shower herself. While Tay was out, Avikna took a look around the room while getting her own things in order. Ookoth was nowhere to be seen, which meant he was back to being secluded as usual. Everyone else looked worn from that entire ordeal. Something told Avikna this was going to be a short day.

Once Tay was done cleaning herself, Avikna and the teen both set out to get a quick breakfast and finally hit the road. Luckily this island seemed particularly ready to serve on-the-go dishes. Malasala's as they were called. Tay quickly dug into hers, as if she hadn't eaten in days, occasionally dropping a piece for Freya or Cotee to snatch up instead of letting them drop to the ground. Avikna however, was more gingerly with her meal, breaking off a piece or taking small bites. She was hungry, but not starving like Tay seemingly was. In the end Tay finished hers with a great need for a napkin. They were clear into Route 4 by the time Avikna was done, and already the signs of a new town were quickly approaching. The air seemed hotter and drier the closer they got to this new town.

With their meal complete, and both stomachs full, it was time to head to their room. The pathway was still a bit crowded, but not so much that Sylva felt the need to practically hug Luca's side. As soon as the reached their room, Sylva slipped into her old shirt, using it as a semi-nighty before burying herself under her covers. Letting most of her smaller Pokemon loose to find their place in the room. Caught by a sudden yawn, the fem laid back and snug herself in. "Glancing over to Luca the fem narrowed her eyes" Let's try not sharing a bed again." She voiced, remembering their mishap the morning before. "I also hope I don't get another body when we wake up either." After all, she was still getting used to this bodies changes.
Whatever time the girls settled down set aside, the ship quickly disembarked in the wee-hours of the morning, setting it's course for Akala Island's Heahea City. By morning, with the 7:30 wake-up call the ship was about 20-30 minutes from port plenty of time for passengers to get up and get ready for another day on a different tropical island. Sylva thankfully woke up in her own bed and still a blonde. Feeling rather gross the teen-sized woman slipped into the bathroom to take a quick shower before returning and once more getting dressed into her new clothes. Wearing them a second day in a row, they still looked far to... not her, but it was all she had unless this island had a shop with clothes more to her liking. Not that this was meant to be an actual vacation. "What surprises will this island have?" She grumbled under her breath. After all, this was only day one.... plenty of time left for something to screw her life over even more.

Once they were out of the dining hall and back to their room, Luca was more than ready to get ready for bed. She couldn't help but chuckle a bit at Sylva's improvised nightwear before being called out, stepping away to get changed herself. "'Course, no sleeping buddies for you tonight~" She could only really concur with the last point, especially after all their talk about it changing. Granted, if it was gonna happen, all the better if they're in private and fast asleep, but it'd still be better to be on top of the situation. Until then though, it was time to sleep, as Lucatiel settled into her own bed.
The ship's intercom snapped them both awake, by the looks of things, rousing the swordswoman from her slumber in short order. She'd have to wait her turn for a shower, but in the meantime went over her team and the items in her bag, distributing them until her companion freed up the bathroom. By the time Luca finished her own morning rituals it was almost time to disembark, spurring the young woman to quickly redress and gather up her belongings. "Only one way to find out. Let's just hope none are quite so drastic as Melemele."

While Luca was taking her shower, Sylva took the time to look over Wixon once more, just to fully absorb the Marowak and her new evolution. Pulling out her less than stellar Pokedex she managed to make it scan. The picture of a 'more common' Alolan Marowak popped up. How this thing managed to update itself with this region's Pokemon was beyond her, but she wasn't going to complain. What she was going to complain about was the fact that Wixon was now a ghost-type. Yet another spirit had found it's way into Sylva's haphazard care. Not that she was entirely surprised though, as the Cubone already had a naturally scary look to herself.
Emerging from the shower, Sylva gathered her things up back into her bag, and finally rose to join the Swordswoman in leaving their ship room. Returning her Pokemon to make the journey to the dinning hall for breakfast a bit easier on them. "If anything I'd like a positive surprise." Sylva spoke up once more. "Like a couple million bucks." Then she'd never have to worry about changing back to her old self, she could simply buy herself a new life. She could live the hermit life without anyone interfering in her life ever again.

With breakfast the first thing on their agenda for the day, Luca happily let her companion take the lead, following the blonde out the door as she noted one surprise she wouldn't mind. "Wouldn't that be something?" The swordswoman chuckled. "Just step off the boat, run into town, and a suitcase full of money just drops into your arms. Might as well start playing the lottery." Lucatiel didn't put much thought into where any of that money would go, least of all when they turned to enter the dining hall.
The whole place was surprisingly sparse, despite the time since the announcement. There were perhaps four or five tables where people were seated, without many behind them in the halls. More food for us, at least, Luca thought. She was plenty happy to pick up a couple plates and start loading up, letting Sylva handle finding them a a table when she grabbed her meal.

Leaving their room, the duo headed towards the dinning hall. Sylva had left her wishful thinking back in their room, giving Luca a quick chuckle before they closed the door. At the dinning hall, the place was barely occupied. Likely, many were still in their rooms waking up from a night of partying or traversing the island. That or they were simply waiting for them to actually reach the island before they got up and started to move. Sylva and Luca were of the few who'd gotten up with the announcement which gave them a lot of choices for the breakfast buffet. Of course, Sylva filled her plate with various goodies while Luca stuck behind to fill up her own plates with food. Might as well pack in the calories while they could. The blonde had half a mind to get back up and grab something extra. Though, for the time being she decided to find them a table far from other families and trainers so she could release what Pokemon actually ate food. At least there was one good thing about having a bunch of ghosts.
By the time Luca would of found her seat, Sylva was already cutting into her omelet and feeding bits of it into her mouth. BelAir, Earle and Sterling rested on the table surrounding a bowl of pokechow, while the rest of Sylva's released Pokemon rested on the floor around or under the table. She looked up to Luca with a slightly judgmental glance. "Think that'll be enough to last you until dinner?" She spoke, shoving another bite of omelet into her mouth. If there was one thing that came to be a common occurrence between Luca and Sylva was their jabs at one another. Luca and her abundant appetite, and Sylva with her easily poked at self-image issues.

With one plate full of a pair of waffles, the other a few helpings of garlic bread, and a couple biscuits Luca rejoined her companion, setting her meal down on the opposite side of the table. Much as she was ready to dig right in, she had a team to feed too, and let her pokemon spread out some. Any that needed to eat settled in and made themselves comfortable in front of a bowl, save only for Priscilla, who instead wandered back to the buffet to fill herself a plate. When Sylva's gaze finally rose from her food and towards her companion, Luca barely even had a chance to cut into her waffles. "I'd be surprised if it did," the swordswoman replied, quirking a brow as she paused for a syrup-lathered slice. "Usually you get something in between those two. Lunch is part of that three square meals thing, you know."
After a minute, the pale, draconic Gardevoir rejoined their party, leaving her scythe propped up beside her trainer's weapon. She took a seat next to her trainer and set down a small plate of scrambled eggs and the same bread as Luca. Lacking the seemingly voracious appetite of the swordswoman, it was as much as she needed anyway, quietly listening to the girls' conversation.

Sylva did have a point, unlike Kanto or even most other regions they weren't gonna be spending their time in cities or towns while they're running around. The islands of Alola were a lot more sparse, with more vegetation than people instead of the other way around in most cases. It was true, there were a good amount of Pokemon centers scattered across the island. The last island had one right outside the trail area after all, so whose to say there wasn't one for the next trial either? Cutting her omelet one more, the smaller woman stabbed both pieces with her fork and ate them. Even after it'd gotten a bit cold, the dish was pretty good. The seasoning or whatever they'd placed in the omelet was nice on the pallet. It certainly had to be more than just eggs. Either way, her food was complete and with a few more sips of her Orange juice, Sylva was ready to go. Her Pokemon seemed just about to finish their meals as well. "Well, if we're not to concerned about food, I guess we can explore the island to our hearts content." Sylva pipped up, thinking back to the previous island. They'd pretty much skipped half the island in favor of rushing back to the ship, which was a good thing considering they'd of likely had even more of a hassle getting back on the ship if they'd arrived after dinnertime. This island was larger, so the people were given three days to explore, plenty of time to see the island.
