Kala'e Bay is a small bay in north-east Melemele Island that isn't accessible easily, only through the Seaward Cave. This bay has some grass and water Pokémon, but is considered one of the top 100 views in Alola
Pokemon Appearances:
-5 rp posts are required, then roll an 6-sided dice. This will determine the Pokemon that appears. In the next post, roll a 4-sided dice to determine level of the wild Pokemon. Only certain pokemon can ask for help. If you encounter one fo these pokemon and choose to activate the SOS system, it will cost you 1 encounter post per SOS pokemon summoned (max of three per battle). You must then roll for which pokemon is summoned, and what the level of that pokemon is. Only one pokemon can be summoned at a time
Sullivan ran and then stopped as they arrived in a small secluded bay area. He knew where they were… Kala’e Bay. One of the scenic views often suggested to tourists looking for great sights to see. It had a small beach area right in front of the cave mouth, followed by an expansion of water with some bigger island out towards the middle and further towards the side. Honestly, it was a great place for like a private party or something if you were interested in that kind of thing.
Or, in the current situation, a bit of a nightmare. Sullivan snapped his attention around, spotting the round form of the Rowlet fleeing with malasada chunk in claws. He dropped his bag and rushed after to try and snatch the bird from the air while she was still hovering within his jumping grasp. He almost managed to latch onto her but she managed to slip from his grasp at the last moment with quick maneuvers, beginning to flap her way over the body of water. Damnit! That… that wasn’t good. The last thing he wanted to do was dive in fully dressed to chase her down (though he would’ve in a heartbeat) and it was becoming increasingly clear that she was going to escape him. He fumbled for her pokeball, a last-ditch effort to return her but she was out of range by that point of the beam.
Sullivan straightened up, expression a mixture of despair and uncertainty. There… there wasn’t much else he could do at this point but try to give chase by swimming after her and well... that certainly wasn’t going to work. The most he could do was watch her fleeing form…
And then… a massive bird form swooped through the air straight at the Rowlet, snatching her in its own massive claws. Sullivan jumped in a panic, gaze snapping to see what type of predatory bird had gone and pretty much caught his Rowlet. Kala’e Bay wasn’t exactly a place where you found predatory pokemon but well… obviously today wanted to be a special day. He rushed in the direction that the form went, spotting it landing just on the other side of the beach. He was ready to swing a rollerblade at the creature to try and save Mana as he stormed at it, skidding to a halt only after recognition hit him.
The Braviary tilted his head to the side, eyeing the Rowlet struggling in his grasp. He pecked at her head to get her to calm down, straightening up and addressing the blue haired fellow that had opted to come rushing at him like a barbarian. Clearly though, Sullivan came around to recognizing him and Inoke gave a flap of his wings before tucking them away, staring the young man down a moment in curiosity.
Sullivan burst into a grin rushing forward and wrapping his arms around the Braviary’s neck, grateful for the surprise appearance of a familiar family pokemon. He’d certainly saved him the worry of Mana running off into the sunset…

Though… why he was here in the first place was a mystery. Pulling himself away, Sullivan eyed the bird curiously, expression speaking the question on his mind. If there was anything Inoke was skilled at, it was reading individuals; a strange and yet unique ability that most likely came from years of experienced interactions. They did say Braviary were warriors of the sky, but not all warriors rushed into battle. Inoke was an observer and it probably helped him overall, especially in guarding Sullivan’s family from danger.
The Braviary fluttered his wings again, shifting focus to the Rowlet still in his claws. She’d calmed down now, looking rather crestfallen to have been captured, the malasada she’d stolen from Sullivan crushed and dirtied by the sand. The young man felt a bit bad for her, but she kind of deserved it for being a brat. He knelt to get a hold on her and taking her from Inoke. He eyed her with a scolding expression, poking her in the chest to indicate his disapproval. Mana cooed and ruffled her feathers, clearly too tired to fight back and fly off again or seeming to recognize that would be a futile thing to do with the Braviary nearby. He’d given her quite a startle.
Sullivan sat Mana down next to Junpei, not quite wanting to punish her by returning her to her pokeball. With Inoke there, he had a feeling she wouldn’t try anything and she seemed properly upset about the loss of her stolen food, brushing at it with her wings to see if she could recover anything not ruined by the taste of sand. Sullivan just shook his head, turning his attention to the massive Braviary to once more try and figure out why it was here.
Inoke eyed him a moment before tilting his beak up and to the side, revealing a small satchel with a rolled letter tucked in it. Oh! Well that certainly explained things; he opened the satchel and pulled out its contents; two pokeballs accompanying the letter. He eyed the pair a moment, believing he recognized them but unrolled the letter. It was from his brother, Levi, eldest of them all. Sullivan took his time reading it over; it was a general letter, a hello and a sorry for not being able to see him off, well wishes from his wife and son and some other things. The part that caught his attention the most though was the remarks about the pokeballs. They were just what he expected; one ball belonged to Inoke and the other contained Kairi, his step-father’s Sharpedo. Apparently, they’d worked out that the two would be best off with him to assist in his journey.
A blessing really. They were already strong and he knew them both well enough. Them along with Junpei… well that gave him a strong team to start off with. He could probably take the first gym challenge if he wanted... that... that was pretty awesome to consider. Almost. It did mean he wasn't using his own built pokemon but... well there were more than enough gyms for him to prove his metal on. The first few being made easy was hardly something to be testy about.

Sullivan attached Inoke and Kairi’s pokeballs to his belt right next to Junpei’s and Mana’s, grin on his face. He carefully folded the letter up as well, tucking it in his sketchbook safely in the confines of his bag. He was pleased given the circumstances; he had some new pokemon on his team, Mana had been caught and he’d had his workout for the day if anything.
Which reminded him…
Sullivan turned his attention back to Mana, who was still attempting to nurse whatever remains she could from the malasada. At about this point, it was a rather pathetic sight and the blue-haired fellow almost felt bad for the bird. Walking over, he knelt to eye level with her, distracting her temporarily from the smooshed treat. He wore a stern expression his face, pointing sharply at the bird and then shaking his head. He pointed to the malasada and shook his head again, trying to indicate that the numerous things she’d done was wrong. Mana looked forlorn, giving a pathetic coo in response. Sullivan tilted his head and sighed, glancing at Inoke and signing to him. Maybe he could pass along his intentions?
Inoke watched, head tilting before shuffling forward, poking Mana in the head with his beak. She chirped in surprise, wings flailing as she looked up at him. There was obviously a moment of silent communication that ended in Mana looking even more guilty. Eventually she turned back to Sullivan and gave a coo with a tone that sounded apologetic. Sullivan eyed her a moment, sighing, and patting her on the head to indicate he accepted. He reached into his bag and pulled out another malasada, ripping off a smaller piece and giving it to her much to her delight.
That was settled for now. Which meant well… they could relax. They were in a nice spot to be honest and he wouldn’t mind the relaxing. Kicking off his sneakers to feels the sand under his feet, tugging off the over shirt tied at his hip as well to set on his bag. This was worth exploring a little bit and letting everyone enjoy the beach. A worthwhile endeavor.

Alola was apparently a region composed of a series of islands, located far out in the middle of the ocean. There was water… a lot of water. Soooo much water. He’d never been over an expanse of water this large before to be honest. Usually flying took them high in the clouds and he missed the sight of water if there was any but this time well… there was no avoiding it.
Lafayette took a deep breath of the ocean air as it whipped past his face. Well… maybe this wouldn’t be so bad. It’d been a while since he’d been to a beach or anything of the sort and he semi-felt like he deserved a vacation. Not that he would admit that to like… Juliean or anything. That man would have his head if he thought for a moment he was shirking his job. He was an a*****e like that. But he was tired from gym battles, flying around and all this nonsense he’d been on lately. This was certainly not the work of excitement he expected to be doing, Menial tasks that required no brain power (something he should’ve been happy for but well). It was… agitating.
He pressed himself against Dova’s back more as she flew, lazily watching their surroundings. There was no point complaining so it was best to focus on the task at hand. He could see a land mass in distance so it was only a matter of time before they reached these supposed islands. It was going by so quickly, it was difficult to make out the wildlife under the water.
Something in the sky did catch his attention though. There was some… large black mass hovering in the air and below it seemed to be a small gathering of pokemon. They looked like Sharpedo or something and looked… agitated to some degree. The creature flew away with them following at time spinning around and punching at the water to scatter the pokemon and agitate further. It… looked like it might be a pokemon as well but… it was certainly nothing he’d ever seen before.
Curious, Lafayette gave Dova a gentle nudge in that direction, indicating to fly closer so that they could see what was going on. The Noivern gave a little whine, clearly not feeling comfortable with getting close to the random abomination. Lafayette frowned and gave her a kick again; there was no fighting him on this. She whined again but directed her flight in that direction. It wasn’t long before they were within a good twenty feet of the thing and the host of Sharpedo, an island area not too far off. The blonde squinted at the display; he still couldn’t tell what kind of pokemon the black mass was. It looked almost like something a human being might’ve built. Like a robot or something. Either way, it’s focus seemed to be on agitating the Sharpedo beneath, unaware that it had an audience.
At least… until Dova gave another uncertain whine. With a sharp jerk, the foreign pokemon’s gaze turned to the flying crew, a shiver running up Lafayette’s spine at the sight of the shattered prismatic gaze. Yeah… it was like staring at a robot or something… maybe it wasn’t a pokemon at all?

The black figure hovered in place, prismatic gaze narrowed on Lafayette. The blonde stared back a moment, frown staunchly on his face as he tried to determine exactly what he was staring down. Dova whined, flapping to maintain her hover while voicing her concerns. It was clear she was uncomfortable with the situation. The Sharpedo were still thrashing underneath, agitated by the previous provocation. They were clearly hungry for confrontation. Why had this thing been bothering them?
Lafayette glanced between the creature and the Sharpedo. He didn’t care much for the ruckus they were making; it made it hard to focus. His gaze strayed from the strange pokemon to the shark-like creatures below; an error that he’d come to regret in time. The strange creature watched a moment as the trainer averted his gaze, focusing in on his and remaining still. Suddenly, it’s gaze began to glow and before Lafayette knew why Dova was screeching in a panic and he was bucked from her back and plunged down into the waters below. He flailed, swirling, and finding his way back to the surface and gave a gasp as air filled his lungs. A scowl was immediately on the Aussie’s face as he tried to locate Dova. What was wrong with that dumbass dragon?! He didn’t get much of a chance to locate her though, his own plummet and bit of thrashing drawing unwanted attention. The agitated Sharpedo shifted their focus from the black creature to the new individual occupying their water. He was far more accessible after all…

Lafayette hadn’t expected the attention shift by the Sharpedo and was taken by surprise as one veered out and gnashed at him. Without a though, he flung himself back in the water and kicked out at the creature, slamming a heel directly into its snout. That caught the shark pokemon off guard, allowing the other to swivel around and launch its own attack. Lafayette was prepared (as much as a man could be while trying to stay afloat), swinging a fist at the speeding creature. This one veered to avoid the strike, the former recovering from its daze and joining in to try and strike again. The Aussie continued fighting a mixture of rage and desperation.
This was quire the mess; where the hell were his pokemon?!
It wasn’t for a lack of want that kept Dova and Noah from helping their trainer. No, the strange black creature that had initiated the mess was preventing them from actively helping. Dova was trying to avoid cannon fires of light being fired at her, Noah clinging tight, desperate not to be flung into the water either. He’d caught glimpses of Lafayette’s struggle though and soon found himself struggling between whether to dive off and help or stay with Dova. The struggle was real.

And getting more real by the second. While he’d managed to temporarily dissuade the two Sharpedo, the third gained momentum. The split second that Lafayette lashed at one of the pair to keep them from encroaching, the third sped in like a jet and latched its jaws onto the outstretched arm.
Lafayette gave a sharp yelp as he was briefly drug under the water. With his free fist, he punched at the Sharpedo, trying to break the steel grip it had on him. It was too tight and hurting, swivels of red beginning to mix with the surrounding water from within the Sharpedo’s mouth. Lafayette’ struggled, fighting harder and punching the shark more violently. He was getting dragged further under and oxygen was beginning to run thin.
It was get free or die.
Lafayette was alarmed at this point. Drowning was hardly a way to die and he had no intention of being drug to his death by some stupid shark pokemon. He tried to focus through the pain, channeling his energy once more. He squinted against the water (and blood) locating the red of the pokemon’s eye. He could see the other revving up to rush in joining in; he had one solid shot to figure out his escape or become overwhelmed. Right then. In a fit of concentrated rage, he twisted his body once more and swung his free fist with as much force as he could give the conditions, slamming the pokemon right in the eye.
The Sharpedo faltered upon impact, reacting quite the opposite of what was expected by the Aussie. Lafayette couldn’t help but give a gargled yelp, taking in a lungful of water in the process. The pain of his trapped arm immediately intensified and frantically he scrambled to try and pry free. He was certain the water was becoming murkier. He couldn’t possibly be losing that much blood… right? Maybe it was just his fading vision from lack of oxygen…
The pain intensified again and Lafayette jabbed the pokemon in the eye again. This time, the Sharpedo didn’t hesitate. In a flash, the wave of pain struck the Aussie so hard he nearly went into shock. He snapped back and gagged again, twisting away as another vicious cloud of red plumed between him and the Sharpedo as he finally managed to push away. Lafayette stared a moment through the water at the display; he suddenly felt… very tired…
But…
The Sharpedo had let go right… it felt like that. Unconsciously, Lafayette tried to flex his arm that’d been in the maw of the pokemon this entire time to see if it was okay. He felt like he was moving something but… there wasn’t anything there moving. Something… wasn’t right here…

Sullivan was enjoying his time on the beach, walking along the shore just observing the water and looking for stray Pyukumuku that might’ve wandered up onto the sands. They had a habit of doing that and getting stuck, making the kindest action one could do as a native being tossing them back. Junpei followed along, sniffing away besides his trainer with his own searches in mind. He was still on high alert to their surroundings, but things were peaceful at the moment. Mana was under the watchful gaze of Ineko in case she tried anything funny. The Rowlet seemed focused more on enjoying her full belly though after having eaten the chunk of malasada.
Despite the chaotic start to his journey, things were looking up for Sullivan. He’d acquired himself a couple of reliable pokemon and potentially a leg up on his next battle. He had supplies, his skates, his team, a healthy competitive drive and the bright Alolan days to look forward to.
Which is what made the next scene so jarring. Focused on the scenery, Sullivan’s attention shifted as he suddenly felt a violent yanking at the back of his pant leg. Craning his neck to look over his shoulder, he noticed the serious look that had overtaken the Rockruff’s face. Once he’d caught his trainer’s attention, Junpei snapped his attention in the direction of the commotion, barking loudly to indicate the situation. Sullivan took note of the action (even if he couldn’t hear it) and directed his hazel gaze to what Junpei was attempting to alert him to. His brow furrowed as he tried to figure out the scene playing out in front of him; there was a group of Sharpedo (that much he could immediately make out) who appeared rather active over something in the water. The more discerning part was the dragon-looking pokemon frantically trying to intervene in the group, attempting to pluck whatever it was that had caught their interest free. There was… another pokemon clinging to the back of the dragon as well.. some blue otter looking pokemon with as frantic a face as the dragons.
Sullivan frowned. There was… something… not right about this. He tensed up as a slight break appeared in the group and he saw what looked like the figure of another person briefly before they seemed to get dragged down again by another Sharpedo.

It didn’t take long for Sullivan to piece together what was going on. The pokemon were clearly trying to save their trainer from the Sharpedo, who were clearly on the attack. Whatever had happened, it was quickly taking a turn for the worse. On instinct, Sullivan yanked off his shoes and chucked them to the side hap-hazardously, rushing for the water edge as he chucked out Kairi’s pokeball. It was clear the pokemon were struggling to pluck their trainer free, then they needed support from the ground (or water rather) and she was the best bet.
The jet black Sharpedo blinked her eyes and gave the man a look and then a low sort of rumble that seemed to indicate she was pleased to see him. Sullivan would’ve loved to have interacted with the shark (despite her own menacing appearance, Kairi was a sweetheart deep down) but time didn’t allow for that. He quickly gestured to the scene out on the sea to alert the shark, giving a sort of frantic plea for her to get involved. The shiny Sharpedo turned and looked, immediately going into serious mode, and lunging towards the fray. Of course, distracting them did very little for the person in peril and soon Sullivan was latching onto Ineko signing, and indicating that he to take flight over to the scene to try and assist. The Braviary didn’t hesitate, relinquishing his watch on Mana (who was just as surprised by the sudden shift in tone) and took off with Sullivan on his back.
The Noivern was still in a panic, diving and lashing at the Sharpedos in a crazy frenzy. The addition of Kairi seemed to drive her even more ballistic, the pokemon looking ready to launch an attack to stop the whole mess. Sullivan blocked it though, holding his hands up at the dragon and catching it off guard. The Dewott looked equally surprised, immediately flailing his arms, and squeaked as he pointed to the water. Looking down, a chill ran down his spine as he saw blood in the water. Oh no…

Sullivan’s expression went grim, looking back and gesturing at the Dewott who seemed to be the only one of the pair of pokemon to be semi-calm. He was going to try and help but if that Noivern got in the way, there’d be very little he could do. The Dewott seemed confused but a word from Ineko seemed to convey his trainer’s intention and soon he was doing his best to restrain the distressed dragon. With that threat (hopefully) out of the way, Sullivan focused on the task at hand. Kairi had gotten herself into the pack and started warding off the other Sharpedo; it helped that she was different in both appearance and size compared to the others that they seemed willing to shift their focus. That gave him just a small window of opportunity to get in and try a rescue.
Giving the Braviary a nudge with his heels, they dropped a bit from the sky to get closer to the water. He had to be quick; even with Kairi’s differences he didn’t need her getting overwhelmed and the Sharpedo diverting their attention again. Plus, who knew the state of the trainer in question. It was a struggle t see him. Once close enough Sullivan all but dove from the Braviary’s back and into the water. He surfaced briefly to gauge the situation and assure Kairi was all right before taking a deep breath and diving down under the water.
It was a bit hard to see given the tussle going on and the blood in the water, but he managed to find the figure in the water; a young man who didn’t look much older than himself. He dove down and latched a hand on the back of the stranger’s shirt, wincing at the sight. He was missing an arm… Arceus had the Sharpedo done that?!
No time to hesitate. Sullivan got a better hold on the individual, returning to the surface with a gasp, tugging the man up to make sure his head was above water. Right now, he couldn’t tell much but the quicker they sought medical attention, the better.

Sullivan felt the waters shift violently as he started to make his way for the shore, head immediately whipping around to see what was going on, eyes going wide at the side of a Sharpedo speeding towards him. Apparently one of the previous pair had decided to intervene while they’re companion was distracted, trying to stick a final attack. Sullivan yelped and flailed, trying to pull himself and his ward out of the way at the last second; there wasn’t much hope on that, given their situation compared to the sharks. He flinched and prepared a moment to be attacked, intending to at least try and dip down under the water to distract if only temporarily. He could’ve planned this saving situation better.
Kairi came zipping from the corner of his eye, slamming directing into the side of the wild Sharpedo going for her trainer. Startled, Sullivan went under briefly, coming back up gasping and shaking his head to try and clear the sea water from his eyes. Squinting, he stared out to see a fierce thrashing competition going on between the two sharks. It calmed down though as the wild pokemon was beaten, fleeing the scene a** Kairi gave it one final snap. Once the coast was properly clear, she swam her way over to Sullivan, nudging him to grab her fin so that he could get a ride back to land. He was grateful and did just that, making sure the fellow he was hauling was firmly in his grasp as well. He took a glance at the man; he was still unconscious and growing paler by the minute. There was still blood and it was apparent that there was an arm missing. That was brutal…

Speedily they made it to land and Sullivan drug the man onto the beach. He did his best to assess him; there was a pulse and a moment after he was certain his airways were clear of water. But he was in shock, unconscious and still bleeding from the loss. Sullivan winced at the sight and without hesitation pulled off his shirt to try and create a makeshift tourniquet. The Noivern had landed nearby during the process, nearly throwing him off from helping further as it screeched and panicked, trying to barrel him over. It took Inoke intervening and flapping the dragon away for Sullivan to even finish the process. It would do for now, but this guy needed a real hospital.
Swiping stray strands of hair out his face, Sullivan turned his attention to what he assumed where the man’s pokemon. The Noivern was ballistic, trying to crawl in to check but being kept at length by Inoke and an on guard Junpei. The Dewott had made his way off the dragon’s back, standing between his pokemon and the dragon as a safe guard, though clearly panicked and trying to get a look at his trainer as well. There really wasn’t any time to try and calm everyone down; that’d have to come later. Sullivan stumbled forward, placing a hand on Inoke to draw his attention. With quick gestures the blue-haired man indicated what he needed from the bird; to take the man and carry him to Hao’li and to the hospital as quick as possible. He intended to follow but on foot. Two people would just weigh the Braviary down. The bird looked skeptical, glancing to the dragon briefly. Sullivan understood; the pokemon was clearly not going to let her trainer go without a fight but there was hardly time for that. He redirected the birds gaze, giving a few more gestures. Inoke understood, either by actual signs or body language was anyone’s guess, before promptly flying over to land next to the unconscious blonde.
Sullivan shuffled back over, loading the man up and making sure he was secure to not fall off. With that settled he gave Inoke a swift pat on the side of the neck to indicate he take flight and without hesitation, he was off.

Noah watched as the blue-haired man loaded Lafayette up on the back of a large bird pokemon, the creature immediately taking flight and heading off into the air at top speeds. His expression faltered from shock to despair, head snapping to look at Dova as the Noivern gave another ballistic scream. She seemed ready to launch up and attack the Braviary carrying off their trainer without their permission and he was certain it was about to turn ugly.
Before he could calm her though, the young man who’d braved the waters to rescue Lafayette appeared, quickly jogging around the Dewott to confront the Noivern. He held his arms out straight at his sides as a sort of barrier, causing Dova to hesitate. Her ears went flat though and she hissed in the man’s direction, still scuttling along the beach in her uncertainty. Noah watched in a state of awe and fear; this fellow was certainly bold to act as a wall to a clearly upset pokemon. Of course, his own pokemon was technically at risk if she went through trying to follow. The rock puppy leapt to his trainer’s side, growling and on the alert, attention shifting between him and Dova. Well, it was clear there would be trouble if the dragon tried to attack the man. This was a mess.
Noah whined and rubbed his face, looking up to see a pained expression on the man’s face. He seemed to understand the predicament; one moment they’d been flying and the next Lafayette had gotten himself semi-mauled by Sharpedos. That was hardly what they’d expected to happen. It’d been that stupid black pokemon’s fault! If it hadn’t been there… if it hadn’t upset those pokemon in the first place… none of this would’ve happened! If they’d just left it alone…
Hindsight was twenty-twenty like that though and it was no use dwelling on the past. Right now, Lafayette needed them and Dova wasn’t helping. The man was still standing there as a wall in the way of the dragon, staring at her with a stern expression now. Soon his arms shifted to be held in front of him, palms out as he slowly walked towards Dova. The dragon hissed again, something that Noah noticed went unnoticed by the man, who kept just slowly approaching. The rock hound stuck close, growling even more as he watched the situation. Noah was sure this would end badly; Dova was upset and looked ready to attack the nearest thing if she had to. Soon Sullivan was only a foot or so from the dragon, finally coming to a halt with his hands still out. It was clear he wasn’t attempting to intimidate but rather giving a gesture of good will. The Noivern hissed again, staring him down when he stopped though no longer scuttling about. The air was still as the pair just stared one another down for a few long minutes. Noah could hear his heart pounding in his ears.
And then the blue-haired man stepped forward again, extending a hand to try and press it against Dova’s head. Noah froze in place, expecting the worse as the man managed to touch her, Dova just as tense. And then… she whined. He gave her a gentle rub and her attitude turned from vicious aggression to terrified whining. Whatever had happened (Noah had to admit, he’d gone and closed his eyes for a moment expecting an attack), the young man seemed to show the Noivern that he’d meant no harm. He watched as the fellow petted the pokemon to calm her until she was no longer skittish, though by the way her head jerked back and forth from him to the skies, that she wanted to follow. The man didn’t speak a word (something Noah found… odd) but soon gave a little head nod and pointed up. The Noivern perked up immediately, nuzzling him and immediately taking flight to follow. The Dewott was stunned. The whole interaction had been a good fifteen minutes but… he’d certainly found a way to turn her attitude around. That was… special.

Sullivan’s heart was beating a mile a minute of course, despite what his composure might’ve suggested. It was clear that the Noivern was upset about what had happened and really there was no keeping her away from following Inoke and her trainer, so the most he could do was at least calm her down so that she didn’t interfere with the transportation. Once at least it was clear she understood that they were trying to help it was okay to let her follow.
He huffed, running a hand through his wet hair to get it out of his face, a shiver running down his spine. He was soaking wet from that little action, though that wasn’t really anything that bothered him. He had a change of clothes in his bag, though he wanted to get to the hospital to make sure that guy was all right. Sullivan diverted his attention to the Dewott that was still there, noting its own mixed expression. It was clear it wasn’t entirely certain how to feel and to some degree, it had been abandoned. Sullivan frowned and quickly made his way over to the pokemon, dropping to his knees in front of is so that they were at eye level. This startled the pokemon, who took a stiff defensive stance. The trainer held his hands up; he certainly meant this pokemon no harm. Junpei was still at his side, keeping alert and Kairi watched from the water still. It took a minute but eventually Noah relaxed some, looking rather deflated.
Poor thing, Sullivan could tell it was upset. He reached out and gently rubbed the Dewott’s head, watching as the creature seemed to sniffle and rub at his eyes. The quicker they moved out the better to be honest. The blue-haired man made a gesture to the pokemon as though indicating he follow, Noah perking up and tilting his head before giving a hesitant nod. Sullivan nodded and stood up, heading back towards his own things to quickly retrieve them. He returned Kairi to her pokeball, quickly making over to the mouth of the cave to take a seat and tug on his roller-blades. He might’ve not had flight on his side to take advantage of, but they’d get them through to the city quickly. With Junpei ready, he tugged his bag over his shoulder, looking about for the Dewott.
The otter had disappeared briefly before emerging from the water with a soaked shoulder bag. He drug it over and offered it up to Sullivan urgently; probably their trainers. They’d need that more than likely. With a nod, he took the bag from the pokemon, slinging it over his other shoulder to balance out. With that in place, Sullivan knelt and gestured to the Dewott to hop on his back an act that once more caught the pokemon off guard. Noah hesitated and the young man just gave him the most reassuring smile he could manage. Junpei could keep up with his speed but he didn’t expect the same out of the pokemon. Piggybacking would keep the speed. The Dewott glanced at the rock pup, the Rockruff barking and giving an assuring nod of his own. Noah hesitated again before finally clenching a fist and promptly scrambling onto the man’s back, clutching tightly to the straps of Sullivan’s tank. Sullivan grinned and stood, keeping his arms folded behind his back to help Noah stay settled. Mana fluttered up and took a seat on his shoulder as well, clutching tightly to make sure she kept her own grip. She still wasn't certain all that had happened, but could tell they were moving out now. With that set, he glanced at Junpei and gave the pup a nod before suddenly exploding into a burst of speed down the path back through seaward cave once more.
