Far more exited to find the nectar and get the heck out of the Melemele Meadow, Eline tossed Gladias's phone back in her direction, to which the smaller woman caught it with ease, placing it back into her bag. "A ghost incense would really help me with the Pokedex." Eline stated with a grin. "I hope this person is the real deal." Glaidias nodded in return, then quickly held a hand up as if to salute good-bye, but instead a large Braviary flew down, flapping it's wings to stay airborne at the woman's side. Using her other hand to wave, the woman then grabbed the bird by it's leg ,and off they flew. Eline watched with some amusement. Glaidias always seemed to know how to make an exit.

After the older woman fell behind the mountain, Eline went back to work gathering the nectar needed to help her quest of completing the Pokedex. Though as she ventured further towards the mountain, the ivory-haired woman came across a peculiar stone. Cold to the touch she recognized it as an Ice Stone, used to evolve several Pokemon, including one she had on her team. Whether Titanium wanted to evolve or not, Eline left in the air. She'd ask the vixen later. After all she could save the stone for when she was ready, or use it on another Pokemon that evolved via Ice stone evolution.

Placing the stone into her bag, Eline went back to work gathering. It seemed like it was taking forever to get a worthy amount collected, but it was all going to be worth it in time. Sulfur had decided to venture back to his rock to continue sun bathing. Though, as time grew on, the sun was sinking lower and lower into the sky. Soon enough the sky turned a beautiful orange, while the stars peeked out form the opposite end of the sky. Dusk was approaching quickly. It was going to get hard to see in due time, which meant they'd likely have to camp out in the meadow. Eline wasn't entirely against this. She'd favor a night under the stars than a night in some hotel or Pokemon Center.

Setting up a small fire high above the meadow where nearly no grass or flowers grew, Eline hunkered down with her team. As the night slowly settled in, the ivory-haired woman grew tired and lazily laid back into Nobelium's body. The canine gave off a warmth that was quickly enveloping Eline. Lithium, despite her previous thought about not wanting to trample the flowers, made her way through the meadow to where Eline had set up camp in the end. "Vul!" A high-pitched growl erupted over the campsite, startling Eline into an upright position. She found Titanium with her but in the air, tails wagging wildly behind her. A Muchlax it seemed had appeared holding what appeared to be a large jar.... in the glow of the fire, Eline recognized the liquid as some sort of... syrup? No... "Titanium, calm down." Eline spoke, moving up onto her knees and crawling forward a bit to get a closer look at the jar. The Muchlax seemed rather... upset he'd been spotted. "Tell me, friend. Would that happen to be a jar of Yellow nectar?" Eline inquired, offering her friendliest of smiles. The Muchlax Stepped back, looking down a the jar held with both his hands... it was tightly sealed, likely, the Muchlax would have a hard time opening it. "I have some food here, if you'd prefer this instead... in exchange for that Nectar?" Eline quickly snatched up her bag, rustling through it's contents, tossing various items this way and that, unknowingly, an empty Pokeball had rolled it's way over to the Munchlax, and, being the curious one it was, it set the jar down and picked up the ball, hitting the button at it's center. A meadow of flowers certainly wasn't Naomi was expecting to be greeted by, he was surprised -- but it was a good surprise, one that caused him to gasp and cemented him where he stood. The late evening sun painted the entire area a dark orange glow, a sight beautiful enough to cement his feet to the ground, an impressive feat, in an order to take it all in. As pretty as it all was, Naomi was reminded that he couldn't simply stand there forever, and after stretching he started moving again. Down the ledge they went, with Sousa joining them from above; there hadn't been enough room for him in the traditional entrance, but thankfully the meadow was an open area.
Naomi was careful to mind where he walked, the last thing he wanted was to tread carelessly and crush any of the flowers under foot. The entire area was so peaceful, so tranquil; he found himself taking a deep breath and taking it all in, all over again. Of course, he wasn't the only one enjoying the area, and from the corner of his eye he saw something buzz through the air. Upon turning his head in that direction, he saw that it was a pokemon, on the smaller size, buzzing to and from various flowers. It was adorable, and Naomi found himself transfixed on the hard worker.
It wasn't the only presence about, as a jumpy Cottonee proved. A rustling from the flowers was the only warning it gave before it popped out, greeting the closest pokemon with a sparkly gust of wind. That pokemon, who just happened to be Mori, hunkered down to weather the attack, which thankfully wasn't too powerful, before he popped back up and spat out an ember. This was far from necessary, he hadn't even been doing anything! While it was a powerful attack, it wasn't enough for a KO, and Mori had to suffer through another attack before he was done with the cotton ball completely. Goodness.

Naomi, while just as surprised as Mori had been, managed to calm himself down and pull out yet another potion to heal him with. He hadn't expected to go through nearly half his supply already, he'd have to make a trip by the market before too long. "You certainly held up better in this battle," he noted to Mori, as he went about spraying him down again. Briefly, he wondered if he'd need to rub Mori down with a wet cloth before too long, he didn't want the Litten's fur weighed down by potion residue. Mori didn't seem too bothered by it, and after being treated he went to, hesitantly, explore the flowers once more.

Mori and Ieyasu, now aware that the area was full of aggressive pokemon, stayed on alert and kept their senses on high alert for any rustle in the flowers. Naomi did the same, though in keeping to the barren path he managed to cut down on his chance of interacting any pokemon by, at least, half. "Rotom." He turned to the sentient pokedex soon after he'd picked himself back up, empty potion bottle in his non-dominant hand. "Just what kind of pokemon was that? I have never seen one before." Rotom, who had been put a simple observer up until this point, moved so that he was within Naomi's line of sight. "C'mon kid, you're killing me. You've really never seen one of those puff balls before?" Naomi's blank, albeit warm, expression was all the answer he needed. Rotom sighed. "That was a Cottonee. Here, you can see its information here." Pulling up the pokemon's information, Rotom moved in closer to give Naomi a chance to look at it.

Naomi busied himself with pouring over Cottonee's information, eyes scanning the screen in front of him, but it was a quick read and it wasn't long before he had returned to looking at his surroundings and, more importantly, his pokemon. Mori and Ieyasu had banded together, with the latter taking the lead as they dove further into the meadow, as, while exploration was their goal, the reminder that they weren't alone kept them from relaxing. Naomi turned his eyes up to the skies, where Sousa circled lazily, and then just past his pokemon to glance at the setting sun; that was their cue that they needed to wrap things up.
Opening his mouth, Naomi prepared to call out to his team but stopped when he saw the same pokemon, buzzing about. Mori noticed it as well, and in a very catlike fashion, he waited until the creature was just above his head before swatting it from the air. Naomi jumped, while Rotom only 'tsk'ed, "I knew that cat couldn't be trusted..." A battle was the only probable outcome and the trainer could only watch as the two pokemon engaged each other, with the smaller of the two using its size to its advantage to make the first move. "That's a Cutiefly, by the way," Rotom spoke, drawing a portion of Naomi's attention. "I knew you were going to ask, so I just got it out of the way." He nodded, slowly, in response, "I would like to catch that pokemon." With those words Naomi pulled the loose ends of his clothes together, and marched with purpose over to the battle.
Of course, he was careful not to actually step in the midst of it, and instead kept to the sidelines, with Ieyasu. "Mori!" Naomi called out to his starter, his eyes filled with determination. "Use Scratch after this!" He'd been paying attention to the battle, and he knew that, while Cutiefly had speed on its side, its attacks weren't doing the intended damage. Mori, on the other hand--or, technically, 'paw,--had only used one attack and had already secured his victory; that was type advantages for you. Mori, after forcing back the nausea that came with having his energy absorbed, obeyed and changed his tactic effortlessly, clearing the distance between himself and the bug before striking it out of the air once more, but this time he added claws.
The Cutiefly fell and Naomi... stopped, and for a few seconds struggled to enlarge one pokeball, but while he struggled it wasn't too long before he'd figured out the 'trick', and in his hand held a normal sized capsule. Naomi stuck out his tongue and closed one eye, lining up his shot, then tossed the pokeball with an underhand tossed. By some miracle the ball hit its target, and Naomi and co. watched as the fainted Cutiefly was sucked into the pokeball, where it shook three times before growing still. "Does that mean--""You caught it, yeah," Rotom interrupted, his so-called trainer's lack of knowledge not winning him any points. Naomi didn't seem to be aware, and at the realization that he'd caught his very first pokemon, he let loose a cheer, "yes!"

Naomi's cheer echoed throughout the meadow, and with his excitement brought forth a dozen or so more Cutiefly, startled by his shout. Confused and a bit wary, considering he didn't know their intentions, he eyed the pokemon carefully as they began to buzz around him. "Calm down," Rotom spoke up, to both human and pokemon, as both Mori and Ieyasu had stepped forward as if prepared to fight. "It's just what these things do, they're attracted to happy people, they confuse that sort of aura with flowers; at least, that's what the pokedex says." So they weren't out to harm him? That was a relief! Naomi grinned, and with an attack no longer on the horizon he was able to relax, and enjoy the sight of several small Cutieflies surrounding him. One in particular even took it upon itself to get into his face, its tiny wings a blur as it kept its body air-borne.
"Ah, Rotom. Take a picture, please," he requested, remembering the photographic function the Professor had mentioned. Rotom complied, with only a bit of grumbling, and began to move himself back in order to get the perfect shot. "Smile. Not like you'd do anything else..." he muttered the second half of his sentence to himself, and from the lens of his built-in camera he watched as Naomi sprouted the widest grin possible. The shutter snapped closed and afterwards Rotom approached Naomi, scattering the Cutiefly, to show off the final product. "D'you wanna upload it online?" he asked while Naomi looked at the picture. "Online?" Finding the picture to be an excellent one, Naomi nodded his head in thanks before he moved away to heal up Mori and pick up his pokeball. "Yeah, I can upload it to this photo website I'm linked to, you'll get feedback and comments; validation from a bunch of faceless strangers," Rotom summed up, as elegantly as he could.
Humming in thought, Naomi slipped the pokeball that contained his Cutiefly away, then motioned for Mori and Ieyasu to start following him back to the entrance. "No thank you, Rotom," he finally answered. "Fine by me. Saves me some work." Rotom stored the picture away, then made to follow Naomi back out. He was glad they were heading back to the city, all this exploring and informing had worn him out. Once he was standing back on the ledge he'd started on, Naomi gave one last look out at the meadow, hoping to imprint the sight into his brain, but paused when he noticed the entrance to a cave, nestled towards the back and far left. He pursed his lips,--what wonders could possibly be in store there?--but eventually turned around and walked away, he needed to get going, and there was always tomorrow!

As they neared the end of the little cave that they had to walk through, Elena could hardly contain her excitment. Mabel continued to press forward, easily sliding under the leafy greens that blocked immediate view into the meadow at the end of the tunnel. Elena effortlessly moved the bendable branches aside and entered Melemele Meadow with a pleasantly surprised gasp escaping her lips at the official sight of the flower garden. Yellow flowers filled the area in abundance, swaying gently in the breeze that blew through the area. A fresh, floral scent filled the air. Elena let her gaze linger across the flowers before turning to look back at Egan and gage his reaction.
Her olive gaze fell upon him happily, hoping that he was just as pleased by the sight of a sea of yellow flowers as she was. "Was this worth the hike?" she questioned as a vivid smile lit up her slightly flushed cheeks. A gentle wind blew around them and knocked several loose yellow petals from the flowers at their feet into the air, allowing them to delicately swirl about in the breeze. Elena tentatively reached out her hand to catch one before immediately releasing it back into the soft gust of wind.
She took a few steps towards Egan before eagerly taking one of his hands into both of her's. "Come on! I bet there are some neat pokémon further in. Let's go look together," she encouraged as she gently tugged him further into the meadow with her and allowed one of her hands to drop from his as she spun her attention back on the bright yellow flora around them.

Egan shielded his eyes as he exited the cave, the light from the sun blinding him. When his vision returned he audibly sucked in his breath. Before him was a vast field of yellow flowers, swaying to and fro in the breeze that seemed to perpetually blow through the enclosed meadow. Yellow petals floated through the air on the wings of the breeze, gently falling around the pair as they stood in amazement at the beauty.
"Was this worth the hike?"
Egan tore his eyes away from the beautiful vista and laid them on Elena, who was beaming with joy at him. "Yeah," he began slowly, "It's gorgoues here." Egan couldn't erase the smile that tugged at the corner of his lips as he watched the girl whimsically trying to catch one of the petals that floated around her. The soft touch of Elena's small hands on his own caused his face to flush slightly, and he felt an electric jolt pass through him as he witnessed the practical euphoria that was written across Elena's face. He let himself be dragged out further into the sea of flowers, down one of the various dirt paths that seemed to weave through the meadow. Now being led by Elena as she blazed a trail through the meadow Egan felt like the whole scene was out of one of those photos that couples posted on their social media pages; he honestly couldn't say he minded. He kept his eyes open wide, allowing them to dart between the flowers to either side before allowing them to rest on Elena and the path in front of them. "This was definitely worth the hike," he whispered contentedly.

Sure enough, the further they went into the lush meadow, the more pokémon appeared around them. Elena recognized some of them, such as Cottonee, Petilil, and the ever famous Butterfree, but there were a few new ones as well. "Lookie," she intructed in a amused whisper, pointing out a group of bird-like pokémon as bright yellow as the flowers surrounding them to Egan. Elena released her soft hold on Egan's hand in order to pull out her pokédex and scan the pokémon. "I bet those are the-- Yup! Oricorio. Their appearance and type change based on the nectar that they consume, isn't that cool?" she questioned excitedly as her dex informed her that the ones they were seeing now were of the pom-pom style of Oricorio, and then began to flash images of the other styles on screen for her to view.
Her excitement, however, seemed to attract another pokémon's attention. A Cutiefly came close, prodding at Elena with its brown proboscis. "Oh, what're you? You're precious ~" she cooed as she felt the little poke on her arm before moving to scan the unknown pokémon. Her dex swiftly informed her, and Egan if he was still paying attention, of the little yellow pokémon's name and typing before spewing out a little blurb. "Cutiefly is capable of detecting the aura of living things, such as plants, people, and Pokémon. It uses this ability to predict the movements of its opponents. It collects nectar and pollen from flowers, which are found by the color and brightness of their auras. However, when a living creature is excited, its aura resembles a flower in full bloom. As a result, Cutiefly tends to gather around beings feeling strong emotions."
"Ah, so it's mistaking me for a flower?" Elena couldn't help but giggle at the idea. What an adorable pokémon, and it was a fairy type. She felt an overwhelming urge to try to catch it. Elena put away her dex before reaching out to the buzzing Cutiefly and allowing her hand to carefully brush its fluffy appearing body. The pokémon didn't move beyond prodding her hand with its proboscis again. "Apologies. I'd like to try to catch you now," she whispered softly, and yet the Cutiefly didn't seem to mind the idea. Did it simply admire whatever aura Elena was giving off that much?
A short battle later, in which Mabel may have gone a little overkill, Elena was proudly holding a pokéball filled with a Cutiefly. She placed a tiny kiss upon the ball, whispered its new name, and put the ball away to be dealt with later. "Alright, come here Mabel. Let me fix you up again," Elena ordered sweetly as she knelt down in the flowers at her feet before getting to work healing her Sylveon with a lum berry and potion combo. Once Mabel was better Elena remained seated still, leaning back somewhat whilst petting Mabel who'd curled up next to her. A little rest was in order.
Elena glanced over at Egan who still stood nearby, offering him a smile. "The pokémon here sure are cute, aren't they? See any that pique your interest?"

At first Egan couldn't tell what Elena was pointing at, all he saw were the beautiful yellow flowers; after a moment, however, he was able to distinguish the pokemon from the foliage. They were the same brilliant yellow as the flowers in the meadow, with the tips of their wings capped with pompom-like appendages. The pokemon reminded him of the cheerleaders often found near gyms or sporting arenas back home. A feeling almost like sadness momentarily filled Egan as he felt Elena's hand slip from his as she retrieved her Pokedex; the feeling quickly passed, however, as Elena began to read the Pokedex entry for the tropical birds. Egan was surprised to learn that the pokemon came in so many different varieties based on their diets. The only other pokemon he knew of that had a mutation like this were Shellos and Gastrodon. Following Elena's lead, Egan pulled out his Pokedex and logged the pokemon as well.
The rhythmic buzzing of wings made the hair stand up on the back of Egan's neck. He knew it had been too good to be true; how could a meadow like this exist without bugs. Egan glanced around, frantically looking for the source of the buzzing. He'd expected to see something akin to a Beedrill or Combee, however, what he found was significantly smaller. The pokemon that was now bumbling around Elena slightly smaller than the size of a fist with soft, yellow fur accented with white. Egan almost would have called the pokemon adorable, had it not been a hideous, insectoid, hellspawn. He took a few steps back, putting some distance between himself and the buzzing abomination before logging it in his Pokedex. He sneered in disgust as Elena began to coo at the bee-like pokemon. It was beyond him how anyone could find bugs tolerable, let alone adorable, yet here Elena was fawning over one. He began to rethink his initial judgments about the girl and her hobbies; he could absolutely see her frolicking in a swamp now.
Egan removed his Camera from his bag, aligning the viewfinder so that both Elena and the Cutiefly were in frame, and began snapping pictures. After about the third picture, he zoomed out; a battle was beginning. Egan immortalized the battle between Mable and the Cutiefly in film, even if the Cutiefly barely showed up in the images due to its size. At the very least, the shots were flattering for Elena and engaging, so it wasn't a total wash. Egan's favorite picture from the "shoot" came from the conclusion of the battle; The shot framed Elena's soft, white features against the luminous yellow background of flowers as she gently kissed the Pokeball of her new companion. He took a few more shots of Elena tenderly fixing up Mabel before placing the camera back in his bag.
"The pokémon here sure are cute, aren't they? See any that pique your interest?"
"Yeah, actually the Oricorio are really neat. I Wouldn't mind catching one of those." He replied. He was about to walk back up to Elena when a trio of tiny, green pokemon skipped past him in a line. A forth, trailing behind its friends, tripped over Egan's foot, face planting into the soft grass. Now that it was a bit more still Egan got a better look at the pokemon; It had a head that reminded Egan of a spring onion, and three shoots of grass sprouting from the top, almost like an Oddish. Egan suppressed a giggle as the pokemon grumbled with discontent and flailed its stubby arms trying to get up; he pulled out the Pokedex and looked up the adorable little bulb. "Petilil, the Bulb Pokemon. Its head is tipped with three oblong leaves that are very bitter. However, these leaves possess revitalizing effects. Since they prefer moist, nutrient-rich soil, the areas where Petilil live are known to be good for growing plants. When the environment they live in turns bad, the whole bunch will up and move to a new area."
"Oh, aren't you adorable!" Egan said, kneeling down and attempting to gently help the flailing pokemon up. the Petilil squealed and rolled over onto its back before hopping to its "feet". The little flower pokemon backed away a step and looked around for its friends that had scurried off without it. One more, Egan tried to touch the pokemon, this time causing the Petilil to rush at his feet and start smacking the toe of his shoe, as if his foot was the cause of all of its worries. Egan released Popo from its ball, allowing the Ditto to exhaust the wild pokemon. A few moments later the Petilil was out of energy, not even resisting as Egan threw the Pokeball at it. Egan picked the ball up and happily spun it on his index finger, showing the ball happily to Elena. "I'm gonna let her rest a bit before I try and train her." He said, putting the ball onto his belt.
