She ignored the text for now. It was probably for the best so that she didn't say anything she'd regret. There was some other way to get her point across, more playfully, in a way that might irk him but not... Do any real damage. Then she got a second response, and Scarlett was tempted to ignore it too, but she glanced down, figuring she could at least check it and think over her options before responding.
I think some would say the fairies have always had me. I'll admit, it did feel like I was in a bit of a dream or something. The mushrooms must have been pollinating, or whatever they do.
Scarlett gave a somewhat confused smile and scoff. There was that weird and humorous type of response again. She would have blamed the mushrooms had he not used the same sort of humor outside of Laverre. That text would be easier to respond to, but unfortunately to get to that text, she needed to answer the other first, otherwise she risked suspicion in avoiding the other conversation.

Once again, there was this strange sort of duality in their conversation. A harder topic, and an easier one. A sore topic, and a lighthearted or flirty topic. It almost highlighted their differences in personality, and how quickly in a specific direction their conversations could go.
If I had to butter you up to get you to enjoy a reward, it wouldn't be much of a reward, now would it? Unless of course, you aren't looking forward to it as much as you said you were. If you don't really want my reward, just say so a stór~
Because if he didn't actually want to be rewarded at all, then he should let her know, because she didn't want to waste her time on someone who would be unappreciative. He hadn't outright said that he didn't want a reward, just implied that she didn't have to reward him. They both knew that wasn't true though. Now that she had promised something, he would hold her to it, even if he was being an a** about her promise of a reward. She held herself back from actually making those threats though. Her comment was harmless enough, playful in tone, left the choice up to him, but still got the point across. Already, the way this was going, it felt like they were going to end up back where they had been last time. The game was fun, but when it ended, they were back at odds with each other again.

After sending the text, Scarlett took another cursory glance around, actually taking in the scenery. The meadow of yellow flowers was actually rather serene. Their sweet scent peaceful. She'd been standing there mulling over Zak's texts so much that... Well, she hadn't really been able to stop and appreciate the scenery.
...And suddenly noticing that Vandal wasn't around. She turned and found him behind her, staring at her. "There she is. Welcome back." Vandal commented, holding out an egg. Scarlett swiped it with a frown, sticking it in her bag. "The hell are ya talkin' about?" Scarlett muttered. "You've stopped really paying attention. You've had your nose stuck in your xtranseiver for hours, doing nothing but texting and staring off into space until I've found ya an egg and we need to move on to the next area." Scarlett rolled her eyes. "Well it's nunya." Vandal gave her an odd look. "Nunya?""Nunyabusiness." It was well timed fortune that they managed to reach the islands at about the time the sun was starting to rise. Cheri glanced over as she heard the wake-up yawn of someone on Dova’s back. She stared a moment, watching as Noah slipped from the back of the dragon, stretching, and rubbing the sleep from his eyes. Huey’s eyes widened and he heard himself gasp, as they flew above the next area. Melemele Meadow was its name and, unlike Ten Carat Hill, it looked just like its name suggested. The ground below them was nothing more than a blur of yellow, from this high above, but as they drew closer Huey realized that the bright yellow were actually flowers, tons of them. It was nice, like really nice, and he found himself eager to touch down.

Before he could begin his search, however, Cloud popped up, unharmed, and in his small arms a bundle of flowers. He was… clearly excited to be here, and Huey couldn’t help but to laugh as he watched his pokemon, move through the flowers excitedly to get back to him.

Huey stepped into the field, careful to not stomp on the flowers, and then crouched down to pick up Cloud once he was close enough. He straightened back up, Togepi and flowers in his arms, and began walking slowly to try and find an egg. It should’ve been easy, given all the vivid color, unless… all the eggs here were purposefully yellow. He sure hoped not, he was hoping for a red or a blue; a color that stood out and made it easy to find.

While Huey busied himself trying to find a flower, Cloud found his own entertainment by trying to see just how many flowers he could put behind his trainer’s ear before they fell out. At the moment, his record was three, and it was continuing to grow. Huebert certainly looked pretty, with all those flowers! He wished he had a way of putting flowers on himself. Until he thought of a way, though, he’d just settle with putting flowers on his trainer. It certainly was fun! So much so, that he kept it up even after Huey had found the next egg, and only stopped when he ran out of flowers.

Meanwhile, while Eline continued to search for her nectar, Titanium lifted her head, moving her gaze out towards the flower field. Curiously, she sniffed at the air. Someone was nearby, watching them. She didn't really mind, laying her head back down as a sign that she couldn't care less about whatever or whoever was watching her rest. Sulfur on the other hand, had also noticed and was eagerly waiting for this new prey to make any movement. His eyes were fixed on the flower's below, not even a ghost would get past his almost extrasensory powers of observation. Then, he saw it. A rustle in the flowers that wasn't the wind. standing up tall, the kitten then leaped off his perch and down to the target below. What Sulfur found under his paws was a Caterpie. Double checking the scared little bug wasn't Helium, the bug took the advantage and issued a face full of string at Sulfur. The feline didn't like that at all, backing up some, he finally scratched himself free and unleashed an Ember attack upon the Caterpie. Only thing was, he started not only the Caterpie on fire, but a small chuck of the flowers. The Caterpie wasn't giving up without a fight though, despite the huge disadvantage it had. Scooting forward then leaping at Sulfur to tackle him. Sulfur hissed at the Caterpie, unleashing another Ember attack, felling the bug at last. Thankfully Nobelium had been watching nearby, he quickly swooped in and saved the day by kicking up some dirt to quell the flames. There was only a minimum amount of damage, about a flower crown of flowers were damaged. Nobelium gave Sulfur a stern look, then pointed his nose towards the ledge up above. 'I don't think it in good taste to burn a field to the ground over a small one like that.' He stated boldly, then leaped back up the cliff side to return to his perch. Sulfur snarled at him some, in a childish 'mimic' sort of way. Whatever the case, the feline obeyed and leaped back up to the ledge he'd previously been upon. Turning his gaze back to the flowers to watch for another would-be target.

Nothing else seemed to catch the Feline's eye, so he decided to take it upon himself to venture over to Eline and investigate what his trainer was doing. Eline, as before was still gathering nectar, but stopped when she felt Sulfur brush up against her. "Hey, Sulfur, what's up?" She inquired. The feline caught a whiff of something in Eline's bag, and began to paw at it eagerly. Eline quirked a brow, opening her bag. "What's in here that you want? Food?" She didn't really recall if she'd packed any food. But no, Sulfur seemed more interested in the incense that rested in her bag. "Oh, that thing?" Pulling it out, she began to inspect it. It's colour was... red, and it was already warm to the touch... odd for something made from what was likely metal. Even sitting in her bag wouldn't make it this warm. "Oh right, I forgot all about this thing." She then grew a rather devious look in her eyes. "This could pass the time nicely!" She voiced, looking back to Sulfur. "Thanks for reminding I had this thing." But before she could even think to ask Sulfur to light it, a hand came from out of nowhere, startling just about everyone, including Eline. "Woah!" She fell back to her butt, crushing a few flowers. Looking up she saw it was Glaidias "Gladdy!" Eline spoke in a raised voice. "Don't do that." Adjusting herself, Eline noticed Glaidias was holding forward a phone, a message board pulled up... "Mysterious Incense trade?" She arched a brow... "Ghost? Hmm...." Look down to her own incense she held a hand to her chin. "Whatever the case both could be useful for filling out my dex. I feel there are far more ghosts in Alola than Fire-types. Yes, perhaps this would be very useful!" Snatching the phone from Glaidias she quickly replied to the would-be trader. What luck! She was the first to respond!
