Heading north along route one, Eline eventually made it to Route 3. "Just beyond here is a place called MeleMele Meadow." She was sure it was around here somewhere. Though, a long trek up the rocky mountain pass would take her awhile to get there. Of course it wasn't as if she was on some sort of time restraint. While she'd like to fully complete the dex by catching all the Pokemon ever, she could always come back one day to catch the few she missed. Seemed wild Pokemon were few and far in between around here. "What are we going there for? Anything specific?" Lithium asked. "Sorta. I do wanna pick up some Yellow Nectur for Fluorine, and perhaps pick a few flowers." Eline chuckled, speaking sarcastically at that last bit.

When it came to Fluorine's species, the Oricorio had the potential to switch between four different types. Each represented a style of dance that they favored. The ghostly Sensu-style was the rarest, as it's nectar is hard to obtain ,and finding one in the wild is just as hard. Eline was lucky, as Fluorine had originally been a gift from her co-workers at the Distortion world research lab. At first Fluorine hadn't much cared for Eline, given she was still a novice back then, and didn't much care for battling but Eline eventually was able to gain the birds respect and now they were inseparable. Of the four different looks for Oricorio, Eline had to prefer the Sensu-style. However, it wouldn't hurt any to have some nectar on hand in case the need arises to change Flurine's typing.

Coming to a bridge, the meadow was not that far off now. So the path was set, this Eline liked. She was always one to favor a solid path of action. Though most times something always went wrong. This time not included. It was smooth sailing... walking to the meadow, though what awaited the young scientist within the meadow was another question entirely. She knew what she was going for, but would that be it and then they'd leave? Well, she wasn't planning on sticking within the meadow for to long, but who knew what fate would have in store? Hopefully it didn't take up to much time though. Eline was eager to get in, get the nectar and get out.

As much as Sullivan loved the islands, there was a downside to being landlocked and that was it made following things through the air twenty times more difficult. Route 3 was a dangerous route on its own with high cliffs and waterfalls and gave a flying type an advantage.
And for being well… a pudgy looking bird, Mana certainly could move. Quickly. Junpei was still hot on her trail, nose to the air to keep track when she disappeared from Sullivan’s view. Luckily, being on wheels minimized the distance she could cover regarding speed, thought it only took her veering off the route, over a tree top or down a ledge or some other odd direction to force him to lag.
It would’ve been exhausting to anyone else to be honest. But if anything, Sullivan was taking it for the challenge it was. He had no qualms about jerking from one path to another, hopping obstacles or trying to rush through grass-bathed shortcuts to keep up. It was certainly a workout if anything.

Of course, he wished he had a voice to shout down the nuisance of a Rowlet he was currently dealing with. Oh sure, he could sign his frustrations but that’d hardly mean anything if she couldn’t see him. Plus, well, would she understand him? Probably not. That kind of thing took training; he’d had her all, what, an hour? Not exactly enough time to train her in such ways.
And even then, she probably wouldn’t pay attention. Sullivan could tell by his movements that Junpei was doing exactly what he wished he could do; giving alternative barks to try and catch the fleeing pokemon’s attention.

Mana was in her own world. Focused not to lose her new found treasure, she was beating her wings with a fury that might’ve caused a wind storm had she had the strength. Luckily, being only the size of a volleyball prevented such a situation from happening.
But that didn’t stop her from putting up a challenge. And the perfect getaway came into view too! There was a field full of bright yellow flowers up ahead. They went on for days…. That’d provide plenty of coverage to hide and conceal oneself and protect her findings! Perfect!
With that idea in her mind, Mana veered in that direction and straight for the meadow, diving down into the flowers the moment she was in range to. This was perfect.

That was...surprisingly easy. And, lucky. Alejandro was convinced he'd used up all his daily luck sneaking passed a fight and not being pulled into it by some means. That rarely ever happened. With the tension gone, Diego dismounted from Alejandro's shoulders and went back to floating effortlessly next to him. Man....Floating looked like a lot of fun. Maybe when he was evolved, Alejandro would see if he'd be willing to show him what it was like.

Alejandro knew this whole thing was going to be a mess for him. He didn't have Fly or any friends with Fly (or, many at all), so he was stuck walking. It was going to suck, but at least his parents could never say he wasn't getting enough exercise. Hell, they'd probably start worrying that he was getting too much of it. But, then his mind wandered back to that Vaporeon and he crossed his arms as he thought. He hoped she was alright, the poor thing. Maybe if he found her again, he could convince her to come with him.That's probably stealing, but then....What do I care?Stealing wasn't beneath him. Alejandro was perfectly okay with it as long as there was a clear and forgivable motive; even if it was forgivable only to him.

If Dallas was coming he was coming, if not well then it was less cause for concern. Either way, Saru tried to put the events of the past half hour behind him. It wasn't good emotionally or physically to hold onto negativity. It might be a good idea to sit and meditate in the very near future he thought. Chibi didn't voice an opinion one way or another on the topic of Dallas. Most likely because he was still upset with the way the man had treated him all over just wanting to pet his pokemon. Glancing back Saru caught sight of Dallas bringing up the rear but he was more focused on Chibi for now. His head hung low. Was he sulking? "Chibi, speak." He said slowing his pass reluctantly allowing Dallas to catch up. "When did you get your first Pokemon Master Saru?" That was an odd question.
"When I was ready" Chibi gave a blank stare back but considered his remarked before replying. "I want one of my own." Saru wasn't sure the kid was ready to care for a living creature but there was no way to tell without giving him the chance. "Fine. Do you have any preferences ?" Saru asked glancing to Dallas hoping the thug wouldn't involve himself. Saru had as a child been given a Pokemon so he thought it only proper to pass that treatment onto his ward. "I don't know what to look for in a partner. Can you battle a few wild Pokemon until I find the one I like?" Another odd request but it would help serve a dual purpose. He'd get training and Chibi eventually a Pokemon. "Very well. Let's see here." Saru scanned the area finding a lone Spearow his only viable target. "Let's go, Chimchar." The battle was short but sweet. No point catching it just yet. "How about that one?" Saru asked. "No." Chibi answered flatly with crossed arms. This was going to take a while, Saru thought looking to Dallas. "I don't suppose you know what Pokemon are native to this region?"

✪Walking Pokemon ⇨ Beltigre! True to his brash and bombastic word, Dallas followed Saru and Chibi up the way to Route 3, Taking up the rear. Just because he was going to travel with them didn't mean he planned on being chatty with them. Of course, Dallas would be sure to throw in an insult or two as they traveled. It sounded like Chibi was wanting to get his own Poke'mon. That's not a bad idea, Dallas thought. Maybe he'd be braver if he had something to back him up. When Chibi brought up preference, Dallas scoffed. "Well, there's something like 800 different kinds, kid, so you'd better figure it out," he said. "Ain't that right, Rumble in the Bronx?*"
Dallas was ignored for the time being, as Saru battled a Spearow to demonstrate to Chibi. The thug huffed, and shook his head. Whatever. I got business to take care of, anyways. Dallas squatted down while Saru battled, and let Beltigre out of her ball. As soon as she hopped out, she faltered in her step and fell over. Yeah, just what I figured, Dallas thought. He scooped her up, and rummaged through his bag for one of those potions that Kukui had so graciously given him. "Hold on, girl, this might sting." He sprayed a little of it, which made the Litten growl and try to shake out of his hands, but Dallas kept a firm, yet gentle grip on her until all the medicine was dispersed. He let her go, and the little cat walked around, feeling its legs were nice and strong again. "See, that wasn't so bad, no was it?" Dallas gave Beltigre a scratch behind the ears, and she purred happily.
When Saru addressed Dallas, the thug quickly looked up with a glare, to keep up his rep. "What? Oh, Poke'mon around here?" Dallas stood up straight, and Beltigre ran up his back and perched on his shoulder. "Well, there's all sorts of stuff. I mean, I got this sweet Litten from Professor Kukui. And then, there's supposed to be some sorta variant of the kinda pokes you find back in Kanto and Johto. Like black Rattatas and Ice-type Vulpix. And there's like, some sorta sand castle Poke'mon? I dunno, this whole region's got weird stuff."
Sullivan was back to moving at top-notch speeds; the wind was at his back as was the horrific pollens that gave his allergies problems and slowed him down in the first place. Plus, they were on a solid path going downhill (given its presence on a mountain side), which gave even more momentum. There wouldn’t be a more perfect setup. Without hesitation, Sullivan pretty much rolled his way down the path and picking up more speed. Noah was clinging tightly to his back at this point, Junpei rushing along only a foot or so behind, slowed down a bit by Mana and her frantic actions as she clung to his service vest.
If he hadn’t been weighed down by a pokemon, two bags and concern, Sullivan would’ve pulled a few stunts. Route 3 was one of the few places perfect for tricks and kicks, though no when you were in a rush. It was a shame really but he was a responsible individual and well… he could live without the tricks. He did opt for a little bit of shortcut taking, hopping off one of the lower ledges to the path below when the opportunity arose. They were on the side of a mountain and he could tell the Dewott was tensing in unease but he had this. He took another leap off a ledge and landed with a thud, picking up speed again with a grin. He spotted a couple of people up ahead just entering onto the route, head tilting a little at the odd appearances. One looked like a monk and the other… he might’ve mistaken him for some Skull thug with his appearance. Huh… with a shake of his head he skated his way around on, resuming on the speedy path to the next route and soon the city.

Once they reached route three and left route one, he looked around. It wasn't often that he came here much, in fact he vaguely remembered this particular area. He looked around some more, but this place wasn't ringing any bells. Pursing his lips he placed his hands in his pockets, he really wished that he had been to a few more placed. That would have been nice to have been able to more to this area of the region. He walked through, making his way towards the next egg location. He hoped that he could find all the eggs, he really did want to see what the prize would be at the end if he found all of them.

Terrence stretched his arms out, sighing. It was going to be a long trek to the next area. Sometimes he wished that he had a pokemon that knew fly. It would be so much better if he did, he could try to fly to all these locations. Then again walking was good exercise and he honestly needed it, but it did tire his body a lot more than he thought it would. He moved through route three again, heading back towards route one again. He needed to get to the next island after all.

The word stuck out to Saru like a sore thumb. He'd trained Pokemon all his life at the temple and had seen many different types of Pokemon. He would have passed the idea of a "variant" being just another oddly colored version of a common Rattata but that didn;t seem to fix. He used the word specifically to indicate "Alolan" Pokemon. That meant "Alolan" pokemon were different somehow. The idea of an Ice-type Vulpix was idiotic he thought. Why would a normally fire-type Pokemon suddenly turn into an ice-type? it didn;t make any sense. Saru gave a skeptical look as Chimchar climbed to his shoulder eyeing Dallas suspiciously as well. His partner Pokemon trusted Dallas almost as much as he did it seemed. At least he wasn't the only one. "We should be going. Times wasting." Saru said taking lead again. Chibi, unlike Saru, was quite intrigued, however. "I don't think Master Saru believes you. Then again neither do I." Chibi began with a shrug. "The temple raises Vulpix and Ninetails because of their spiritual connection. It's hard to believe an Ice-type exists. Can you prove this or are you full of hot air?" Saru secretly smirked somehow pleased with Chibi's bold statement but slowed down to act as a shield between him and Dallas. "Now Chibi, be respectful. Surely Dallas can prove his claims."
